Chapter 11: Chapter 10

"The Boys in Blue are off, Sinclair passing to Cole, Cole to Smith, Smith to Hutchinson.

Hutchinson passes back to Grant; WAIT! WHAT'S THIS? THE BALL HAS BEEN STOLEN! Who is that?"

"That seems to be the young gunners player off the bench Number 24, he was quick to intercept, impressive response, and now he's running forward! he's running towards Hutchinson!"

"Hutchinson's coming forward to meet him, Adeleke seems to be swaying, HE PASSES HUTCHINSON WITH A STEPOVER, that was pretty, Hutchinson was stunned!"

"Very Pretty Micheal, Hutchinson couldn't react, and now he is already in front of Huth."

"Huth is coming forward, foot outstretched to poke the ball, WAIT! NO!

WAS THAT A MARSEILLE TURN?

HE'S IN THE BOX!

ONLY HIM AND THE KEEPER! HE COOLLY INSERTED THE BALL!!!"

"GOAAAAAL!!! WHAT A GOAL! That beautiful one-man run and a cool finish; that was an amazing play from the 11-year-old striker! from the moment he touched the ball, he kept constant momentum and showed us a spark!"

"I HAVE CHILLS, BRIAN! GOOSEBUMPS! 11 YEARS OLD AND COULD PULL OFF A RUN LIKE THAT? THE GAME IS 2-.1. I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! IT SEEMS THE GAME IS ABOUT TO GET INTERESTING"

Brady and Brian were paying attention to the young number 24 as he walked past them to restart the game; Brian was clapping wildly with the bench members, and he turned to his mentor,

"Doesn't that run remind you a bit of his trial?"

Brady nodded with his arms crossed as he appreciated the boy,

"Looks like he is in good form today."

Akin went to his position, still feeling his body humming with excitement as he watched Chelsea return the ball to the Half-line, preparing to kick off.

Feeling too excited, he took deep breaths and watched as Sinclair pushed the ball to Cole, who then passed to Grant.

Grant passed to Oliviera, who pushed forward down the right side of the pitch; while advancing the ball, he was pressured by the left midfielder Stephen Santry.

Oliviera did a quick stop throwing off Santry, and ran forward again.

As Oliveira ran on the right, Cole and Sinclair were also running.

Cole sped into the Box while Sinclair cut into the box; Oliviera crossed the ball in from the right side, reaching the head of Cole, who knocked it back to Sinclair, who was sprinting madly.

Sinclair stopped the ball and shot with his left foot; stack seeing the shot coming, pounced to meet it before punching it away, and the ball flew into the box. Still, as he prepared to shoot, the ball went to Oliviera, who had cut in after crossing.

Reacting quickly, Silva rushed forward and poked the ball out of play.

*FWEET*

The Blue Boy's fans all groaned out in disappointment for the missed opportunity but still applauded them, while the away fans of the young gunners all let out a breath of relief, celebrating the decisive actions of De Silva.

The Blue Boys Players moved closer as they prepared to take the corner.

Oliviera stood preparing to cross it as the players in the box fought for position. Chelsea had three players sandwiched between two defenders.

*FWEET*

Following the signal from the referee, Olivera crossed high to the german centre Huth; as the ball came in, Stack blocked it by leaping and using two fists to punch it out.

However, the ball,l was going towards Grant, who was on Standby just outside the box; Noble.

However, noticed this and quickly got in between the opposing player and the incoming ball. He controlled the ball with his chest as he used his body to lean against Gran before rolling the ball under his feet and passing a long ball to Barnett.

Barnett stopped the ball. There were two defenders, Watt and Mancienne, back in Chelsa's half, so he found himself in a 3 v 2 situation as he ran alongside Akin.

Akin seeing an opportunity, cut behind Graham, who had the ball, as he called out,

"PASS IT HERE!"

After Akin cut, he was left open. At the same time, Barnett was focused on by both Watt and Mancienne, leaving Barnett.

The Irish lad, with no option but to quickly pass the ball to the now free younger boy.

After getting the ball shot off like a racing horse, Akin galloped as he knocked the ball forward.

He ran into the box and was met one-on-one by a determined Pidgeley who was running out, hoping to fluster the attackers.

Akin seeing an opportunity, kicked the bottom of the ball, lobbing the ball over the head of the goalkeeper, who tried desperately to turn around and chase the ball.

But in the end, he could only watch helplessly as it went into the goal.

Akin raised his head and roared before running back to meet his teammates. His arms stretched as the young gunners celebrated tying the game with a quick counterattack.

Meanwhile, in the commentator box, Micheal and Ben had been commentating,

"GOAAAAAL! A SECOND GOAL ARSENAL'S U15 HAS TIED THE GAME WITH A FANTASTIC COUNTERATTACK. NUMBER 24 HAS SCORED HIS SECOND GOAL OF THE MATCH."

"IT WAS A FANTASTIC COUNTERATTACK, Micheal; THE YOUNG GUNNERS HAVE SEEMED TO COME ALIVE AFTER HALF-TIME!

WHATEVER THEY WERE TOLD HAS CLEARLY WORKED, THE SCORES HAVE BEEN RESET, AND IT'S NOW ANYONE'S GAME!"

"NO, BEN, THEY DIDN'T COME ALIVE NUMBER 24 BROUGHT THEM ALIVE; HE WAS ABLE TO COMPLETELY REVITALISE THE TEAM WITH HIS FIRST MAGNIFICENT RUN.

FOLLOWING THAT TEAM WAS ABLE TO RALLY, 24-AKIN ADELEKE, 2 MAGNIFICENT GOALS IN THE FIRST FIVE MINUTES OF THE SECOND HALF."

"YOUR RIGHT, MICHEAL; THIS KID DEFINITELY HAS A SPARK, HE HAS SCORED TWO GOALS IN TWO SHOTS, AND EACH SHOT WAS COOLLY TAKEN; LOOK AT THE WAY HE CALMLY CHIPPED THE BALL OVER PIDGLEY AS HE RAN OUT. OF GOAL."

The away Arsenal fans roared in excitement after watching the goal, applauding the beautiful counterattack.

Robert "Robbie" Lyke was a twenty-nine-year-old Caribbean DJ who was a massive supporter of Arsenal.

He has been a fan for years and often comes to every game he can but never went to the youth team games; the U15 squad has been doing well recently.

Often he heard his best friend, Brian, mentioning his talented protégé whenever they went out for drinks.

He never really paid any attention because he felt that a genius can only really be called a genius after they made it into the premier league.

However, he learnt from Brian that this "genius" would be playing his first game.

He came to have material to use against Brian if his hype was all bluster.

As the first half was played, he almost left in disgust.

After all, no matter how young they are, he expects better from a team representing his team's future but chooses to stay and see it through.

It was after half-time he saw the boy wearing Number 24.

He was not the tallest on the pitch, but he was noticeably smaller; Robbie only glanced at him before continuing to watch Chelsea players passing the ball.

Only a yellow blur flashed past; what followed was as if he was watching a dance.

He watched number 24 dance past the defence before passing it in and felt his heart race as he saw the ball roll into the goal.

Robbie felt like he was on fire, roaring with the other fans as he saw the brilliant goal.

"What a goal!"

"That kid's amazing!"

He could hear the voices of appreciation surrounding him and nodded along.

As the game progressed, he felt his heart jump out of his chest after the Baby Blues attack, only daring to breathe after the ball was poked out of play.

After taking a deep breath, he clapped in appreciation; this was more in line with how he expected his youth team to play.

"They are completely different from earlier…."

"Now we're watching football…."

But there was still tension as they watched the corner, but that was swept away after Arsenal U15 took the ball; the fans were excited as they launched a counterattack.

Robbie watched Number 24 as he left everyone else behind, amazed at his speed,

"Holy… how can he move so fast?"

Then as the keeper came out and Number 24 lobbed the ball into the goal, the crowd reached a crescendo; Robbie leapt to his feet and roared with his heart full of excitement.

As he watched the boy running back to his half, suddenly he had a thought,

He is so tiny, but he plays like a pro. Is this what an absolute genius looks like?
