Chapter 2: Tasha fights with Lisa

(Annoyed, lost in thoughts), 'That chatterbox, does she even have any idea what minding her own business is? She knows very well how much I hate explaining myself especially when it comes to my affairs and she had the guts to sniff into my business. For a couple of times, this has been the main reason we were always fighting but she doesn't want to give up.' (Clicking my tongue, thinking out loud) "Where does she get the nerves to provoke me?"

I was now becoming so restless, that I jumped from my bed and rushed to her room not minding my bare feet stepping on the floor. My house has got four bedrooms, the main bedroom is an ensuite which is mine and it is in the opposite direction of the other rooms almost close to the lounge. Lisa's room is along the corridor opposite the first bathroom and close to the third room. I knocked on her door a couple of times, but no one answered, I opened the door and the room was empty. I went on and knocked on the other rooms including the restrooms but it seemed like she wasn't in the house.

(Thinking out loud) "Where did she even go this early, it's the weekend she can't be going to work today? Why didn't she tell me about where she was going?"

I went back to my room, picked up my phone from the bed, and dialed her number two times and I could hear it ringing from her room, meaning she was somewhere close and she probably could have intentionally left it. That helped me to put my mind at ease but still, I couldn't wait to settle some scores with her, I felt like going wherever she was and dragging her from there. I went back to my room and jumped on my bed, closed my eyes trying to sleep but I couldn't, I was burning with anger so I couldn't put my mind and self to rest. After a few hours, Lisa came back and she seemed like she was in high spirits, I could hear her singing. That was exactly the moment I was waiting for and I couldn't wait any longer so I rushed from my room heading to where I could hear her voice coming from and I found her in the kitchen.

"Having a good time, are we?" I said with an unfriendly tone, standing by the kitchen entrance with my arms wrapped around me, glaring at her without blinking.

(Startled and holding her chest with her right hand) "Oh my God! Tasha are you a ghost, can't you make a sound when approaching someone, you almost scared me to death?"

(Rolling eyes and not showing any interest in Lisa's reaction) "Where did you go early this morning without your phone?"

(Proceeding with making cereal) "Well, I went for a jog and then visited a friend, I didn't bring my phone with me because I hate holding it in my hand while running and what I was wearing today had no pockets. Besides, I do not like receiving calls early morning, especially on a weekend."

(With a stern face and a more unfriendly face) "When did you, start jogging?"

(Surprised, a bit confused, and also feeling awkward) "Whoa, what's going on, why are you asking me so many questions?"

(Sarcastic) "I haven't even asked more than five questions and you are complaining already? Now you know how it feels when someone is sticking her nose into your business right?"

(Uncomfortable and confused) "Tasha if you have something to say to me just hit the nail on the head, will you?"

I had got all her attention such that she had stopped preparing her cereal. I guess she was trying, by all means, to make sure that whatever comes or wherever our conversation was heading she had to be prepared.

(Frowning, annoyed, and taking small steps toward Lisa's direction) "Yeah sure, let me cut the crap and save us time. Let me ask you something, have you been itching for a fight recently?"

(Feeling anxious) "First of all stop moving towards me and also what do you mean? Did something happen or did I do something?"

(Pissed, stopped moving after facing Lisa eye to eye) "Oh, so after digging into my privacy and gossiping about me God then punished you and you became dumb all of a sudden?"

(Enlightened about the situation and getting annoyed) "Stop insulting me Tasha and don't you ever call me a gossiper."

(Intimidating and raising my right eyebrow) "Seem like you are becoming bold, I should not insult you, so I should let you insult me, are you kidding me? Mind what you say because I am sure you are aware of how ugly the situation is becoming."

(Hesitant but still standing her ground) "Whoa, I think I now know what this is all about. Well first, I did not gossip about you. I had to give Anne a heads up because that is what I am ought to do and after all, that is the main reason I am stuck with you in this house. I have been looking after you, why do you not appreciate my efforts? I didn't do anything wrong to you and you know if it wasn't for you, I would be…"

I couldn't let her finish; she was getting full of herself and the tone she was using wasn't pleasing. I had my hand on her neck and I was pushing and pressing her body against the refrigerator. I was so clouded by anger, that I wanted to teach her a lesson that she would never forget in a hurry. She tried with her both hands to remove my hand from her neck but all was in vain. Although she showed pain in her eyes, and tears were forming I didn't move my hand an inch. However, I was careful enough not to block her breathing, she could only feel some pain in her neck's sides.

(Looking into her eyes with no emotion) "Listen and listen attentively, mind your own business, do yourself this favor because if you don't you are courting death and this is the last time that I am warning you. Don't you ever again blame me for your stay here, (pointing to the door) that door is so open and I will be very glad to watch you leave anytime and any day? Besides, I do not remember asking you to stay Anne did. Never repeat this, I respect you, and please do the same to me once again stay out of my business."

I eventually let her go and she started rubbing her neck, twisting to the left and right, trying to ease the pain. Thank goodness for my sixth sense that fought a good fight calming me down otherwise I would have ended up in jail, I could tell by the marks that I had left on her neck that I almost crossed the line. Nevertheless, I could not stop myself from shaking because of rage, I wanted a real and good fight but she was, is, and will never be my match. On another note, I also couldn't hide the rage from the other party.

(Coughing, being adamant, pointing at me) "You see, that is also another reason you should not miss your sessions, you are not okay, you need help and you know it."

That's the problem with Lisa, she talks too much and she doesn't know when and how to be quiet. Very stubborn and doesn't give up until she has proven her point. I have had enough and I could feel that if I remain in the kitchen, I was going to yank her and throw her far away or even break her neck. I headed back into my room without another word, slammed my door, and jumped on the bed. My face was buried on the bed and tears began to come out of my eyes, which was the only way to relieve my anger at that moment. I began to wonder why no one was listening to me. I was so tired of those sessions, they have not done me any good, except for opening my old wounds. Instead of helping me to heal I keep hurting each time I go there. I wasn't myself anymore and I took my cell phone, plugged my earphones into my ears, played some music, closed my eyes, and within thirty minutes I had fallen asleep, and I wanted to remain like that forever.
