Chapter 2: Chapter 2

I felt like I was inside a freezer it was so cold I couldn't take it, I was shivering where am I? Why is it so cold outside? Ron might have opened my window and left it without closing them... Seriously this guy needs a lesson.. who in the moon would keep the windows open in winter? then I heard I slow whimper I tried to open my eyes. After about forever I slowly opened my eyes and yes I was on the ice as I thought, but it was somewhere in the middle of the forest. Now all the recent events came crashing down… oh my goddess…

I looked around the place, my heart skipped a beat, there were a lot of bodies mostly girls they were all battered and… I looked away as my eyes started to dwell... I slowly got up, how could they do this.

"they are all monsters.." I screamed, my pack, my family…

" mom... Emma... mom.." I was slowly sobbing. Where are they, how am I going to look for them here? my sobs turned into big cries.

Again I heard a weak cry, I turned my head to the sound a little bothered. " whose it?"

" help... please help.." I heard a girl saying but her voice was muffled.

I quickly ran over " Oh my goddess.. what happened to you... Sam?" And pulled off some bodies and helped her get up.

" oh, it's you...Angel.. look what they did to us...." she cried harder.

"Shhh.. don't cry" I hugged her, I can't break down.. my mom would have dealt with it this way.. stay strong I tried to convince myself.

" can you walk... ??" I asked her as I took off my jacket and put it on her, she nodded

"We have to get out of here.. stay put.. lemme check if there's anyone else alive."

I walked around " is there anyone awake.." then I saw a movement. I ran towards there and I saw Della my other pack member she was much worst.

She opened her eyes slowly

" wa.. water.. plea--se giv-e me some wa--ter.." she said.

I looked around and saw nothing " I don't see anything here Della but we can look for it once we get out of this place"

She shook her head" I don't think I can make it... I'm tired"

"I'll help you.." I said. With that, I slowly pulled her and I saw Sam coming towards us, wearing my jacket and some pants from one of the dead men from our pack

" I'll help her.. is there anyone else alive," she asked.

" no... I don't see anyone else." I looked around for some more time.

" come let's move out of here, they might come back at night... if they find us I don't know what they might do" I heard Sam say.

I looked for mom, Emma, my brothers and dad... I couldn't find anyone.

" Okay.. let's move," I said balancing Della on my shoulder and her other half supported by Sam.

We walked through the forest for a long, it was getting dark and we were tired of walking through the cold without having anything to cover and carrying Della, above all hunger took us. We paused in between so Della could rest a bit, but not for so long as we were afraid they might come back for us.

I thought back at my home Emma would be cooking, mom helping her and chatting, then me playing around our pack house with my best friend Ellie and Mike doing all the silly things, then my brothers and dad would be inside his office with our beta Antony and others discussing. Tears started making their way to my cheeks. My life was perfect, we all were happy.

I would be turning 18 soon. It was a time for celebration, just like everyone my 18th birthday would have been memorable. My parents and siblings were planning for so long. Ellie and Mike would be there in the early morning we all would cook, dance and play games. Now I don't even know when am I going to see them all.

I saw Sam looking at me worried " are you okay angel? Look we at least have each other we don't know about others"

" what happened.. after I passed out?" I asked her.

She looked away hurt visible in her eyes " they asked us to follow them, most of them back there you saw, refused to go including me and Della.. then those monsters took us one by one who stood against us and then they.." she sniffed "they forced us and started beating us to death once they were done... it's just me and her barely escaped, I think we were too weak that we passed out and I don't remember anything after that. They might have dumped us here"

"How did I reach here..?" I looked at her confused.

" Emma... she saw most of us been thrown into a tru--ck, she shoved you into that when the guar..ds were away... I saw her doing... I was ins--ide" Della said.

"Okay," I said, my heart broke at the thought of Emma and mom. they did all this so I would be safe and they are nowhere to be found, what happened to them.

"It's almost midnight let's stay somewhere.. we can't walk... it's cold" I said. Sam and Della nodded.

We walked a very long distance for half of the day, away from our home, towards god's knows where. I and Sam looked for some twigs so we could ignite a fire to help us keep warm.

After talking a little bit and hunting a rabbit we had our dinner, then we prepared for sleep... but that never came over me, so I looked above to the clouds and I saw her.. moon goddess Selena

" why... why did you do this to us." I cried softly thinking about my family and my house, after some twisting and turning sleep took over me slowly. That night I dreamed about a boy with whom my younger self was playing, I was happy in my dreamland.

I was shaking miserably... then it stopped, only for it to happen again... "wake up.. angel"... I opened my eyes slowly to see Sam's worried face as she said in a hushed voice. She suddenly shut my mouth with her hands… what's happening…
