"Joshua"
A voice so small that it was barely heard, called out to Shadow, Shadow's body shook after hearing that voice, his eyes glistening, the tears he was holding fell, he desired kinship but was denied of that, his childhood had been nothing but training and killing, he was tired and had closed up his heart, until Li Fei entered his world, he thought he lost her.
"Li Fei" immediately Li Fei heard his voice, she immediately rushed towards him and hugged him, crying her eyes out.
"Awww touching reunion, this is my second present, you must have loved both of them, meet your new sister, you would be responsible for training her and I would be supervising the both of you, your missions would be separated, I don't want emotions getting in the way and kid don't forget what you did" Blade said laughing as he left the room for them.
The word Blade said pulled Shadow back to reality, how could he forget he was the one who killed Li Fei's mother.
"Li Fei, are you okay? what happened? how did you get here?" Shadow asked after calming down a bit, his voice was still a little cracked, which was unlike his normal self.
"I am not okay, I don't know what happened, everything happened like a blur, I was in my bed and later found myself here, I want to go home, Joshua please take me home" Li Fei said in a voice that was filled with tears.
"Is alright, don't think about it anymore I will be your family from now on" Shadow said in the calmest voice he could muster up now, Li Fei continue to cry, Shadow told her what happened to her family and how he himself was in a similar position, and how Blade was the mastermind behind everything, this made Li Fei scared, but Shadow reassured her that he was here for her, Li Fei cried the whole day.
The next day came and also harsh training has already began for Li Fei, which Shadow couldn't help but complain "She is just a kid, can't you be a little bit gentler with her, this trainings are too harsh" Shadow said grumpily towards Blade, whom had already taken over Li Fei's training because Shadow was doing a shallow job.
"Shut up kid and focus on your training, or did you forget you were younger than her when we did your own training kid"
Blade said without even looking at Shadow, he was busy supervising Li Fei, her training took up to four years, she was now ten and was time for her first mission, Shadow was already 19 and he was there to support Li Fei if she needs it.
"Before the mission your name would no longer be Li Fei, it would now be Ghost the third member of our little family, I named you Ghost due to your background, you are already assumed dead, your mission is easy, you have to assassinate a military general who didn't listen to orders to stay put, he would be alone in his hotel, he has been suspended for the time being, but the higher-ups want him dead, your mission is to kill him without alerting the hotel and with no guns" Blade said like he was speaking about going to a grocery store to buy some groceries.
"Yes sir" Li Fei temperament has changed, she doesn't have the aura of a little kid she once had, she got to the hotel in a very easy manner and was confusing to the men who were watching over from afar, she approached a fat man with a very different look, her appearance was something different entirely, the fat man was going inside the hotel when she approached him, she started crying that her mum was in the hotel but couldn't find her, that she was lost, if the man could help her, the fat man laughed widely and offered to help her, that's how she entered, which was not a conventional way for an assassin, anyways long story short Li Fei now Ghost entered the hotel and slipped away from the fat man who had other plans in mind, it was easy to locate a room in the upper floor, she quickly called for the hacking of the door of the room which was quickly done, she sneaked inside only to see a gun pointed at her "You have two minutes to tell me what you are doing in my room or I will blow your head off" it seems the general was expecting visitors, cause he was already prepared.
"Would you believe if I tell you I was sent to kill you?" Ghost said sweetly, like she was an harmless bunny.
"Hahaha you must be kidding me, don't play with me little girly, you have a minute le..." before he could complete his words his face was gasping for air, the gun fell from his hand, his face was turning blue, his eyes indignant and turned blood shot, he went limp and was dead.
"Huh boring, you are only a master of war it seems, bye bye general, mission complete"
So fast Blade and Shadow looked at each other, before actually waiting to pick her up.
"Why were you so fast?" Shadow asked her when she came back, "Huh, oh he looked down on me, the second he blinked his eyes when laughing I threw a poisonous needle to his neck" Ghost said while shrugging her shoulders.
They went to missions separately for up to seven years, until a strange mission came to Blade, this mission was highly dangerous and the need of all his members were needed.
"We have been assigned a strange mission kids, the mission needs all three of us to complete, and am getting pretty old, after this mission am retiring and both of you are free to do whatever you want" Shadow was now twenty six, where as Ghost was now seventeen, the news made them very happy, it was time for them to leave the shadows of Blade.
