Chapter 3: Ch-2 HeadMaster

The name Jennifer Pierce had become a legend at Dragon Rainbow Academy. She was a hardworking, talented, and beautiful young woman, drawing the admiration of many. She had won the past two World tournaments for their academy and was regarded as one of the seven Dragons of Dragon Rainbow.

Today, Jennifer was filled with happiness. After enduring three arduous, excruciating, and painful months on a mission, she was finally returning to the academy. She looked forward to refreshing herself, reuniting with her friends, and enjoying her time. Most of all, she couldn't wait to return home to the Blue Planet to see her parents and little brother, whom she had missed dearly.

Upon reaching the Dragon Rainbow academy campus, Jennifer discreetly navigated through the secret pathways known to only a select few in the academy. Her accomplishments and near completion of her fifth year had earned her a high position in the academy.

Upon returning to her dorm room, she was greeted by a blue-haired beauty sitting on the couch. The blue-haired beauty looked up in surprise when Jennifer entered.

"Ah, Jennifer, you're finally back," she exclaimed, rushing to Jennifer for a warm hug. "I've missed you so much during your mission."

Jennifer replied, "Yes, Emma, the mission took longer than expected, but I missed you too."

Emma's initial flustered reaction turned into relief as she realized Jennifer was joking. Emma was known for her caring personality, which made her the most compassionate person Jennifer had ever known. Jennifer appreciated this quality in her friend.

"Well, missions can be unpredictable and challenging, but the fact that you're back safely is reason enough for celebration and joy," Emma stated.

Jennifer playfully responded, "So, you mean you didn't trust me to come back alive, huh?"

Emma's expression grew flustered again, and she began searching for a way to make amends. Jennifer enjoyed Emma's reaction but assured her that she was only joking.

As Jennifer began discussing the whereabouts of the rest of their friends, Emma informed her that they were busy with important work and that they had planned a party to celebrate her return later that night.

Jennifer was thrilled with the news and agreed to attend. She then mentioned her intention to report about the mission to the headmaster and excused herself to do so.

Emma nodded in agreement, "Yes, you should do that before the headmaster becomes upset. But don't forget to share all your adventure stories with me later."

Jennifer entered the headmaster's room, where a beautiful woman sat. In fact, she was considered the most beautiful lady in Dragon Rainbow Academy. At first glance, one might assume she was the headmaster's daughter. However, Jennifer recognized her as the headmaster, who occasionally altered her appearance to observe students incognito. Her extensive experience allowed her to change her appearance easily.

Jennifer formally announced, "Headmaster, Jennifer reporting in."

The headmaster nodded, signaling for Jennifer to proceed. Jennifer then provided an hour-long, detailed report about her mission, highlighting its successes and challenges.

After the mission briefing concluded, the headmaster, who had always dismissed her after previous briefings, asked an unexpected question. Jennifer realized that this question was unusual, considering her past encounters with the headmaster.

Jennifer recalled rumors about the headmaster asking random students unrelated questions, which were rumored to be significant for their futures. Jennifer's mind raced, and she took her time before replying.

"Arcane World students are typically born into families with a long history of magic and noble lineage. They possess innate magical abilities passed down through generations. However, many of them exhibit an unpleasant attitude and a lack of motivation for self-improvement," Jennifer responded.

"In contrast, students from the Blue World come from diverse backgrounds, with limited knowledge of magic and untrained abilities. They are driven by the legends and fantasies depicted in books and movies from their world. When they discover the magical world is real, they become highly motivated, making them incredibly successful," she continued.

Jennifer's answer impressed the headmaster, who smiled with pride. She then asked another question, inquiring about the significance of a child awakening mana in the Blue World.

Jennifer was initially surprised by the question but provided a comprehensive response. She explained how such a child would be highly sought after by all academies, as they were rare even in the Arcane World. Gaining such a student could lead to the academy becoming stronger than its competitors.

The headmaster confirmed her response, noting that Dragon Rainbow Academy currently ranked third in terms of strength but could potentially ascend to the top if they secured such a gifted student. She explained the importance of nurturing a "pillar" for an academy and how it could dictate the rankings for the next decade.

Jennifer remained attentive, understanding the implications of the headmaster's words but still uncertain about the purpose of their conversation.

The headmaster continued with another question, emphasizing the importance of attracting such a student. Jennifer agreed, recognizing the potential benefits of having such a student join their academy.

The headmaster, with a sly smile, activated a screen before Jennifer. Jennifer was unsure of the significance of this gesture and studied the screen carefully.

She saw the recorded clip of Jasper, dashing head-fast into danger and performing an supernatural feat to save the boy from getting by the truck.

"What? Isn't that little brother Jasper who jumped at the truck. Oh no, did some tragedy befall. Oh no."

Jennifer controlled her emotions when she asked, "Is the boy who jumped at the truck in danger?"

Headmaster grinned like she was a small child, "No, that's what surprising. He saved the kid and safetly went home."

Jennifer became relieved. But her tension again returned, this time only 10 fold stronger.

"Is the boy the chosen candidate for the future pillar of the academy?"

"You are very sharp, Jennifer. I like that a lot about you. Your next mission is to go Blue World and fetch this boy for the Dragon Rainbow Academy."

"But..."

The headmaster's expression became gentle, "I am aware of the close relationship you have with this boy. He is your own brother, afterall. However, this video has been distrubuted to many academies. All of them know about your brother and want to have him in their academy. Some may be kind and other very rude. Isn't it better to bring him to our academy where we can provide him a good and safe enviorment. As his sister, you can support and witness his rise to an unparalleled warrior with your own eyes."

"But, he what if he doesn't wish to come to Arcane World?"

"Then, sadly you need to make that choice for him. Freedom is good but sometimes others have to make decisions for us for their own sake."

Jennifer was convinced by the headmaster.

"I promsie to successfully bring the future pillar of Dragon Rainbow Academy, Jasper to the academy."
