Chapter 4: Chapter 4: I see you
5 Weeks later...
The next days, or maybe weeks, continued at the same pattern. I slept, woke up, got fed and slept again. It seemed like we where travelling with a carriage or something in this regard. The way we constantly swung up and down was rather relaxing, so it was even easier for me to sleep.
After some time I realized that it was far more satisfying when I slept in the arms of my father. I couldn't really tell why, but his strong grip and the feeling of his muscles gave me a sense of total safety.
But right now I was in the arms of my mother, having just had my meal for the period. But I wanted to sleep in my fathers arms, as I did most of the time, so I tried to shift my body in the direction I thought my father was in.
"What are you doing sweetheart? It couldn't possibly be that you don't want to sleep in my arms could it?"
"Hahaha...My love it seems our little princess likes me far more than you."
*And their at it again, it's always the same, they quarrel until Mother gives up and just let's go of me, so that my father can take me. But I am so utterly happy that they would do that when it is about me, this truly feels like a dream come true.*
Some shouting could be heard from outside the 'maybe' carriage. It sounded like they wanted us to stop.
"Sorry little princess but Daddy needs to go outside for a while, so please bear with it and sleep by Mommy's side."
I heard the opening of a door, only to be closed a few seconds later, then my mother laid her hands over my ears.
*Does she want me to sleep in peace because Father needs to talk to someone?*
Then I could feel an impact rocking our 'maybe' carriage. At this moment my eyes flew open only to reveal the beautiful face of my mother. She was slightly bent over me and I could see her blonde hair directly over my head. But her eyes where mesmerizing, they where light blue and looking at them felt like looking directly into the sky. Her face had all the right proportions, so it left me hoping that I would look like her when I grew older. At the same time I started to wonder what my father looked like.
As I looked around me, my assumption turned out quite right. We were indeed in a carriage. It must have been made out of pine wood or something alike, because it was quite dark. There was one window on my right side, but the curtains were closed, so it wasn't as bright in here as I liked it to be. On my left side there was a door with golden ornaments, and it even had a small window in the middle of it, but even these curtains where closed.
*Do we travel incognito or are they ashamed of my looks?*
After a few minutes my mother took her hands of my ears, I could see her smile at me which made my heart feel a warmth I hadn't ever felt before. Maybe my eyes weren't ugly anymore, because she looked directly at them all the while continuing to smile.
"Daddy will be so happy seeing your bright eyes, he should return any minute now my sweet little Lilith."
Just as she said that the door swung open and I saw my father. He was a monster of a man, I couldn't even guess how large he was because he ducked himself to look into the carriage.
*How did he even get through the door?*
The image in my head made me laugh. He too, had blonde hair, but his was cut short. And his eyes had a deep blue color like the depths of the ocean, when I looked at then I could even hear the water flowing. In the middle of his forehead was a large scar that looked quite nasty, I didn't want to imagine how he got it. His skin was as pale as Mother's, so I presumed that they both grew up in a rather cold area of wherever we were.
*Maybe we are in Scandinavia, that would explain their looks, but I didn't hear any cars and why are we even travelling per carriage?*
"Close the damn door before Lilith sees this you Idiot!"
My mother began to shout and I didn't know why until my Eyes moved further down my fathers body.
*Oh my god he is all bloody! Did he hurt himself? Are you fine?*
He seemed to have seen the shock in my eyes because he quickly said:
"Everything is fine little princess, give me five minutes and I'll be right back."
,as he closed the Door again.
I wanted to continue thinking about what had happened but my Eyes closed on their own and I drifted into my dreamlands, where I ran with Mother and Father across the beach, happily laughing.
