Chapter 1: Outdated Tea
"Sir it's an emergency area you can't enter without permission. " after finishing the emergency operation Of 24hours of no break, I discover a man in black suit and hat approaching me as i hastely inform.
"Lawrance Dankin.
Age : 29.
Cause of Death : Overwork in the Hospital and helping the sick patients.
You are the one, right,? " asks the man in black suit and hat while looking me in the eye as I stare at him in silence while wondering about his every words.
"Yes I think that is me. " I am not sure if I am in my right mind or just confused but while looking at him in the eye that is the only thing that came from my mouth.
"You have worked very hard and thanks to you many poor and helpless people were saved and I congratulate you doctor for saving another poor life. " said the man in black with a greatfull smile when I discovered the patient I was operating regaining his pulse while my co-workers are working their best to keep him in check.
"Law... Lawrence what happened to you quickly get up buddy, someone quickly brings me a wheelchair. " while I was looking at the monitor my co doctor Jhon cried out in worry as I discovered my body right below my feet while he is trying to pull it up from the floor with visible worry in his eyes.
"At least the patent is not dead. " I said with a forced smile before turning towards the man in black and asking him "Does that mean you are the Grim Reaper? "
"Yes, I am afraid so. " said the man in black with a smile before he points his hand towards the door by our side and asked me with a smile "Come on let's go finish the preparation before you move on to the next life. "
--Following the direction of the Grim Reaper Lawrence walks through the mysterious door--
"It's not as big as I have excepted it to be. " after walking through the door I came across a library full of books and said with a smile wondering if I am going to be reading books for eternity and what kind of books there might be in the library, well it's not going to be a boring afterlife I guess.
"Well that is normal since I am in this job for only a few thousand years which is why I wasn't able to fill all the shelves in this room. " explained the Grim Reaper with a smile and earning a surprised expression from me before explaining that it is only a temporary stop where I will be given the tea of forgetting my past life and then I will be permitted to move for the next life and he will keep my records in one of the books in this library after my departure.
"So, all of my knowledge from this life is going to be wasted just like that. " I sighed with regret as I understand the concept of moving on but it is really regrettable that I will forget all the knowledge as a doctor and a scientist after my death man that was 20 years of hard work.
"Well that is a part of the process. " says the Grim Reaper with a smile.
"If that's how it's going to be then I guess there is nothing that can be done but I want to help you before I drink the tea. " I said with a serious face making him surprised before I explained about his condition and how to solve his problems which might help him clear his mental issues and I finally drank the tea but I don't think I forgot anything and only looked at him with a surprised face not understanding if the tea is defective or anything.
"Good now that you are done drinking the tea please walk through that door and you will arrive at your destination. " said Grim Reaper with a smile as I decided to follow his instructions and opened the door and while entering it I asked him with a curious face "I don't think I forgot anything about my life does it take time to work. "
"Wait what did you just say??? come back... " hearing my words he jumps off the table and quickly rushes towards me with a panic on his face however before he can finish his sentence I got covered into a white light before losing my consciousness.
