Chapter 59: 2-Chapter 22: Meating Lady Nielia 1

The Enchanted Forest, also known as the Fay Forest, was a massive sea of trees. Located in its center was a large lake that fed into a river going south. This splits the Forest into a western side and an eastern side. Far to the north a mountain range can be seen in the distance, the demon territories located behind them. A river flowed down the mountain, winding its way to the lake in the forest.

Managing the forest wear a pair of twins, and Lady Nielia was the twin of the east. The eastern side of the forest was smaller than the western, and the Guardian there tended to be much friendlier with the mortals of this world. Though the dangers were great, if one was able to escape the forest with their life, they could look forward to a fortune if they sold the natural bounty found within.

There, in the forest, a few trees with glowing veins running through its bark, the carnivorous plants and the mythical beast, and much more. There were many things in this forest, most of which aren't seen by normal people. Small lights floating in the air. Blue, Yellow, Green, Red, White, and Purple; these were small lesser spirits, representing the six elements, and there were an unprecedent amount and verity of them. The magical energy that could be felt in the area with jus these creatures was already immense.

Lucilla, Morella, Sara, Maisy, Judieth, Cristina stepped foot on the white sandy shore of the lake. Ahead was the forest, and the glowing turquoise colored grass lighting the way. The glowing leaves of the vain wood trees, each glowing a different color, caused the canopy to glow with a mystic energy. Behind them located in the middle of the lake was a small Island, but none of them wear focused on that at the moment.

Taking a deep breath, Lucilla took in the scent of the land. The amount of energy she felt by just being in the area filled her with strength. Flexing her arm, and opening and closing her fist, she felt as the mana seeped into her very being. Beside her Morella also had a distant look on her face as she closed her eyes and let out a relaxed breath. Looking closely on could even see a slight glow coming off of her figure.

"Where too?" Lucilla aske the Vampire. It was still night, and the sun shouldn't be up anytime soon, but Lucilla didn't know how much longer the Vampire had on her sun resistant magic. She rather her guide didn't burn in the sunlight.

"This way, just follow me." Cristina said as she started walking. "That hag doesn't like staying far away from that Island you see."

Entering the forest Lucilla suddenly felt like she was being watch from every direction. As Cristina led the way, she would occasionally make a wide detour around an area. Lucilla was curious as to why when at some point she noticed a Salamander monster entering one such areas, before getting it's caught in a web. The strands being so thin as to be hardly visible. Next thing she knew a large Arachnea descended on the poor creature before dragging it back up into the canopy. It happened so fast Lucilla didn't even get a clear view of the Monster. What she did notice was that unlike the image depicting the Arachnea queen she once saw; this one did not have a spider head on the spider half of its body.

Another area they avoided looked just as deserted. It was a small clearing with tall grass and large bushes. Then she noticed part of the foliage stared moving and realized they were passing a sleeping dragon that blended into the plant life around it. It lifted its head slightly and gave a lazy, but very much intimidating yawn. Sara, who was on her back held onto her even more tightly than before when she saw the large beast.

As they continued to travel north Lucilla realized Cristina was having them avoid the different territories of the monsters that reside in the forest. The monsters shouldn't attack as long as Sara was with them, but Cristina figured it was safer to not needlessly provoke the different monsters for no reason. Despite this, they would still encounter dangerous creatures and plants within the forest, as they were more animalistic and relied more on their instincts. For them Cristina spread her aura around the surroundings keeping them at bay. The plant monsters were simply burned by her magic when they couldn't be avoided.

"Hey, why did we have to walk anyway?" Lucilla eventually asked after half an hour of walking. "Wouldn't it have been easier to just travel further north by boat then walk from there?"

"Yes, it would've." Cristina agreed. "But it's more respectful to travel by foot."

Tilting her head in confusion Lucilla asked, "Why? How is this considered more respectful?"

Cristina shrugged; she didn't really know either. "She was created by one of them Goddesses directly, putting her on a higher level of being ta us. What goes through their minds is a mystery to Mortals and Immortals alike."

"Hmm." Not really liking the answer the monster woman simply grunted in displeasure.

Walking for another half hour, which wouldn't have taken so long if it weren't for the large detours, the group finally laid eyes on the Gaudian of the forest. Lucilla couldn't help but frown as she realized Nielia was located in a space between the forest and the shore of the lake. She couldn't help but feel as if her hike through the forest was a waste of time. She glowered at the woman she saw floating in the air in front of her.

The being in front of them was massive. Nielia sat in the air, yet they way she sat made it look as if she was sitting in some kind of invisible throne. She rested her head in her hand as she leaned against it, with her legs crossed. She was sitting but Lucilla would guess she was about four and a half meters if she stood at her full height.

The eastern Guardian wore a long royal blue gown that reached down to her feet and exposed her shoulders and arms. She looked down on them, as her irises, framed by a golden ring, looked to be a fiery rainbow as it changed consistently changed colors. Her long rainbow-colored hair, that flowed like a silky waterfall, and was lightly curled, reached down to her waist. She stayed silent as Lucilla and the others stayed withing the trees. She then smiled and become for them to approach.

"Ya'll will want ta prepare yer self before you step closer." Cristina said in a serious voice before stepping out of the trees herself before anyone could ask what she meant. As she crossed the boundary, she seemed to stumble for a second before regaining her posture.

"Um, is this a good idea?" Judieth asked voicing her thoughts. "What did she mean brace ourselves?"

"Ah, well, it's easier to experience it yourself Doctor." Morella said before stepping forward herself. Just like Cristina something happened the moment she stepped over a certain threshold. Though she seemed to have a harder time compared to Cristina as her legs started to bend before she regained her composer.

"... What the hell?" Lucilla looked back over her shoulder to Sara with concerned before looking over at were the other too went. Maisy seemed to have followed suit at some point, but she was in her natural slime form for some reason.

"Want to go together?" Judieth asked with a forced grin.

"I think that's a good idea." sara said, agreeing with Judieth's suggestion.

Together Lucilla, with Sara on her back and Judieth right next to her walked forward. After reaching a certain point a great force pushed on Lucilla from all sides. This force triggered her fight or flight response, but instead of moving the only thing she could do was crash down to the ground. She couldn't stand, she couldn't speak, and she certainly felt like the world was ending at that moment.

'No!' She yelled in her head with defiance. Lucilla while still forced to the ground, was only kneeling. Despite the incredible force, that felt like a living wave tearing at her psyche, she refused to be pushed all the way to the ground. Her vision went red as she forced herself to stay in that position despite her animalistic instincts telling her to get on the ground to make herself small and cower.

"Oh?" A melodious voice said, echoing around her, and in her head. "It's not often I meet someone that's able to fight against my presence on the first meeting. Sara my dear you found an interesting little Gaudian for yourself."

"Oh. um thank you?" Sara said. Causing Lucilla to realize the girl on her back wasn't affected by this aura in the slightest.

Turning her head she saw that Judieth was also struggling, though she was on both her hands and knees as she attempted to push herself up from the ground. Sweat dropped down her face, as her face flushed red with effort.

"I recommend getting of her back little one." The voice said. "It'll be easier for her to stand if she didn't need to carry you as well."

"Oh, right! Sorry teache-!?" Sara attempted to get up, but Lucilla held her in place. She wasn't sure what was happening, but with her instincts driving her, she refused to let Sara go until she figured out where the danger was located.

"Mmm, I see." The voice said again, but this time Lucilla was able to tell who said it. Looking up she made eye contact with Lady Nielia. Her hazy mind slowly started to clear the more she acclimated to her presence. "Looks like she's marked you as one of her own. She won't let you go now."

"The hell... you... talking about?" Lucilla asked with a strained voice. She glared in Nielia's direction, not caring for the sweat that dripped down her face and in her eyes.

Giving Lucilla on of the most beautiful smiles she's ever seen in her life, the Eastern Guardian answered her. "Well since we have the time, I guess I could humor you for a bit child."

"Um, are ya sure Lad-" Cristina started speaking.

"Please dropped that fake voice of yours." Nielia said with a frown. "Speak normally child or I can't take you seriously."

"Bu-"

"Get over it, she's gone." Nielia stated, putting force behind her words, cutting off the vampire's protest.

"... Yes ma'am." Cristina relented going silent.

"Good child. Anyway, what was I about to do? Oh yes." Looking back at Lucilla with a smile she continued to speak. "You wanted to know what I meant. Well, you see, despite the violent nature of Monster, you are at least aware they don't attack those of the same species, correct?"

"Mmm." Lucilla grunted, acknowledging her understanding. Judieth had explained this to her once before.

"Good that saves me time." She said with obvious satisfaction. No, Lucilla felt her satisfaction. The more Lucilla got used to being in her presence the easer it was to feel the fluctuations going through it.

"You see Monsters are pack animals. They tend to form groups and are very, very protective of their collective or pack. Whatever you want to call it." Nielia said. "They tend to mark those within their packs, like labeling someone. There are different kinds or marking too."

"And? What does... that have to... do with me?" The exhausted sounding woman asked.

"Well, you don't seem to be aware you've done it yourself." Her smile widened, clearly the Guardian found this situation funny. If the feeling of humor Lucilla was feeling was any indication to go by. "Now my child, you are a Monster yourself remember. What do you think a monster such as yourself has marked this small babe of Prosperty as?"

"...."

"Well, it's a mark a mother would give to their child." The rainbow-colored woman then laughed. Her sweet-sounding voice feeling pleasant for all to hear. All but Lucilla that is. The world around her went silent as she tried to process the words she just heard.

Sara squirmed in discomfort as she was still on the back of her teacher. Despite what Lady Nielia said, Sara found it hard to believe that her teacher would care for her as her own. She looked in the direction of the woman she's only heard about up till now. In response Nielia simply winked.

"Wait, really?" Morella said looking taken aback. "Our Dear Lucy felt motherly to someone this whole time?" She then looked in her sister's direction with a warm smile.

"I... find this... incredibly funny... but... I unfortunately... can't seem to find... the energy to laugh." Judieth said next to her, yet she still a smile spread across her face.

Maisy didn't say anything, but her gelatinous body looked to be vibrating. Lucilla could only assume that was either fear of Nielia or joy and excitement from this new information. For what reason, Lucilla wasn't sure.

For her part Lucilla was left almost speechless. "What do you... mean?" She demanded, anger flaring up inside her as she slowly started to lift herself.

"Looks like you two are finally ready to go, let's talk business now." Nielia said as she saw both Lucilla and Judieth raise to their feet. She ignored Lucilla's question and instead snaped her fingers. Chairs appeared from the ground, with velvet cushioning. "Pleas sit my children, we got a lot to talk about."

Yo!

I think this is going have to be split into two parts. I'm guessing. I'm not sure how long the real discussion will last so and I don't feel like spending a sleepless nights working on it before this wednesday.

Anyway what do you think of your first introduction of a higher power? She isn't a Celestial herslef, but she's close.

Nielia personality came off a lot more condicending than I thought it would. I myself don't know the charecters personality till I write them for the first time.

Anyway hope you enjoyed this chapter. Later.
