Chapter 15: Kiri
"We've arrived!"
Naruto's words pulled Boruto out of his trance, he suppressed his thoughts and looked ahead.
The boat reached a shore, and infront of them was a huge city, Boruto was mesmerised by the sight.
The city was even more advanced than Konoha, although he has seen Kirigakure in the anime, seeing it in person was completely new to him.
'...If I remember correctly, that Kagura kid is still here...I can use him'
Naruto stepped out of the boat, Boruto followed behind him, as soon as they started walking all the gazes of the people fell on them.
'Well, he's the hero of the FGNW...I would've been surprised if nobody payed any attention'
The people only stared at them, there wasn't any sign of movement, Naruto, on the other hand, stopped in his tracks.
He looked like he was expecting something or waiting for someone, that question was soon answered by a figure zooming towards Naruto.
In less than a second, it made contact, Boruto embraced himself but was flung away by the wild wind after the collision.
*Crack*
"Argh!"
"What was that!!?"
The people around them screamed to no end, Boruto stabilized himself in the air before landing on the ground.
He dusted off his shoulder before narrowing his eyes at the spot where Naruto stood, the place was completely covered by dust.
The people in that area calmed down after a couple of minutes, the dust soon cleared away revealing Naruto who was holding a wrist of a humanoid figure.
"Long time no see Naruto Uzumaki...Son of Minato"
*Smirk*
"Same here, Fourth Raikage"
Naruto smirked towards the former Raikage, Aka....A, the ground under them was cracked, however, Boruto wasn't surprised by that.
He was surprised by the fact that Naruto just stopped a lightning-fast attack without even activating KCM!
'He's still strong...very strong'
Boruto was again amazed by the display of strength, the flame inside his heart only kept growing.
"Raikage-sama, Attacking in public can be considered a crime...I suggest that you see the tsuchikage"
"Yeah yeah, Whatever"
A rolled his eyes after replying to the feminine voice.
A woman wearing a white surgical mask came toward the both of them, Naruto glanced behind him and saw Boruto.
He nervously chuckled, the latter just waved his hands indicating that it was alright.
'...Not gonna lie, Strong people act kinda dumb'
He internally sighed before following behind Naruto, they roamed around the village exploring various shops and sceneries.
Eventually, their journey led them toward the recycling area, Naruto went toward a civilian and started a conversation.
'...Hmm, I know that kid'
Boruto narrowed his eyes at a particular individual, she had pale white skin and blond hair.
Her clothes were torn apart in some places, she was currently sewing a doll.
'She's gonna die'
Boruto concluded in his mind after seeing a person rushing towards her with a kunai in his hand.
But the girl's next action made him a bit surprised, the girl panicked...she picked up a pole beside her and stabbed it into the man.
...He died.
The girl dropped the pole and fell on her knees, several emotions could be seen in her eyes.
Fear, Anxiety, Relief...but all those were soon suppressed by another...Emptiness, a sense of loss was also present in her eyes.
'I gotta say...that girl Hebiichigo, She got some nice survival instincts'
Boruto's gaze was indifferent all this time, he felt no pity nor any need to save the man or the girl, death is a common case...one can never save someone, they can only delay their death.
'See you in the future...till then, Sayonara'
Those were his last thoughts before heading back.
"Ah Boruto! This guy right here will be your guide for today, I gotta attend the meeting soon, Have a nice day!"
Naruto beemed a bright smile before his figure disappeared from Boruto's vision, the latter just shook his head.
"Young master, shall we go?"
'...What the fuck did he just call me...Young master my ass, I hate wuxia shit'
"Just call me Boruto"
Boruto was quite irritated, but he didn't show it in public, the man infront of him nodded with a smile.
Another hour passed just like that, Boruto was fascinated by the unique types of food here, everything here was completely foreign to him.
But those various types of food didn't disappoint, everything he tried was of top-notch quality.
'Now that's what I call a dessert'
"Ha~"
He laid on a bench in the public park of Kiri, the man sat beside him without uttering a word.
He enjoyed the silence, the park was empty due to some unknown reason, but he could care less about that.
The sounds of tides colliding with rocks coupled with the chirping of birds created a nice atmosphere.
