Chapter 2: Time Travel

I slowly opened my eyes due to call of someone.
"Your majesty, wake up! you're going to be late.
Huh, I stood up from the bed and rushed over to mirror to look at myself but was surprised😱 to see a beautiful young lady of about age 27 instead of a poor malnourished, emaciated girl of age 17. I was in shock and couldn't wrap my head around what was going.
Your highness are you alright? asked a girl standing by me, I supposed that would be the maid girl of the previous body owner.
May I ask what date, is it. Your highness we're in 16/03/675.
What? was I time travelled here some how, I thought I was died; I said to myself.
Can you leave me alone for some time, I'll call you when I need you.
"Yes your majesty"she said as she exited the room. I sat on the bed, still trying to wrap my head around all what was going on.
"Did death, decided to give another chance in live and why would it😕. As I sat there thinking suddenly memories of someone previous life suddenly started running through my head as if I was the one who lived it.
"(breaths heavily) what was that just now, was it the memories of this body's owner, I can't believe she was so cruel and greedy which lead into someone poisoning her by gift.
* sits there for sometime*
So should I live like how this previous body owner did or I should live in my own way.
* knocks*
"Your majesty, the emperess may I come in.
"Yes, please do; I said as the door slowly opened and a beautiful girl walked in, judging by the clothing she was one of the maids. She walked in and came closer to be and bowed,
"Your majesty, cocoubine Lin sent me here to check up on you since you weren't feeling well yesterday. The moment I looked at her well I recognized her from the memories of the previous owner and according to her memories, she was the last one to be with this body's owner and supposedly she gave a gift to the body owner which killed her when she ate it.
"I'm fine don't worry, tell cocoubine Lin that I'm fine and healthy ☺️.
"Alright your majesty, I'll be on my way now; leaves. Lara?!; I called out for my maid, as she walked in a hurry.
"Yes, your majesty ( bows) you called for me.
" Yes, come and help me get prepared; I exclaimed
"( bows) yes your majesty!
"And Lara, one more thing from me don't bow before me again, okay ☺️
"(hesitate) Yes, yes your majesty.
As she helped me get dressed, I could not help but feel sorry for the way the previous body owner treated her but she still remained loyal.
"Can you tell me about my personality; I asked.
"huh? your majesty (hesitate) I..
"Don't worry, I won't do anything, I promise.
