Texas
9 June ,1989.
She was in Texas and was crossing the gate of the station. She arranged a taxi and she was in her Aunt's place in a few minutes. She entered the main gate, while dragging her luggage and she was like a soldier who came to his home alive after being drastically injured in war. She pressed the bell. Her aunt being a lecturer was a very polite and lovely lady. She pressed the Bell twice and suddenly the door knob turned and the door opened up with a cracking voice. An old lady of about 51 but still looks like 40. In a nano second her aunt recognized her and hugged her fiercely. Both were shedding tears. As Jenny's mother married to her father against the will of their family and that's why her aunt managed to meet her sister secretly and Jenny knew this long ago. Her aunt Mimi was astonished to see her at her door , and it was like 8 years ago Mimi met Jenny at her mother's funeral.
Mimi was living alone, she never got married and she lived in this beautiful house along with her pets; parrots , cats , dogs, turtle , fishes and hens. You can say it's a mini zoo or zoo lite. ( Being a professor in High school Mimi was very jolly and because of this she was famous amongst student.They all love her so much).
Jenny sighed on reaching the Hall after walking through the corridor. It was indeed very splendid. Golden curtains were hanging over those giant windows and there were a lot of masterpieces of art. She was looking at each and everything just like a kid. Her attention was diverted because of her aunt's voice.
Aunt Mimi: Jenny! My dear! Let's go upstairs. I will show you your room and don't worry about the luggage the servant will manage it all.
Jenny nodded.
On reaching upstairs her eyes were widened because of the beautiful interior. Everything was so good. She followed Mimi and both of them entered a room. It was a big airy room with dark polka dot patterns on walls and furniture was tea pink in color. This beautiful decoration was a testament to Mimi's devotion to art. Mimi asked her to rest so she could go to the kitchen. Mimi asked her what her favorite dishes were and went away to the kitchen. She ordered the servants to make these food items quickly. And then Mimi sat on her rocking chair in the balcony of her own bedroom. And she was reading a book while in rocking chair.
Jenny felt a little good and slept away thinking about it all. Mimi was no doubt her fairy godmother in such a drastic and deadly stage of her life.
