Chapter 35: Surviving the fall
General pov.....
Natasha stood up and went near the edge to look down but found no trash of ethan.
"i hope you didn't jump just to save me and have a way to survive the fall...don't die on me....please don't die." She mumble to herself. She answered furys call and went to deal with hawkeye.
Below the hali carrier. Hovering in the sky Ethan was pushed far away from the ship by the opposite force of throwing back natasha. Now He was falling without any control.
Even if ethan would have been capable of using twice the aura to cover his body then he can now, He still can't survive the fall from such hight. If he directly collided with ground at the speed he was falling now, he was surly be dead. he had to think something quick.
But even while falling, he kept his calm. firstly he balanced himself agaun by controlling wind. Now he was descending down from nearly 2000 meters of altitude. like a sky diver but just without any parachute.
He took out the hover board below him. it break in half immediately. it did help in slowing down a little but not enough to change anything.
As a last resort after covering himself in aura with best of his ability and started to manipulate the air around him, pouring all his remaining aura to use it as air canon to fire it toward the ground to reduce the impact.
So when he wa just 100 meter away from the ground. He fired the air blast on the ground with all his might to reduce the force of impact. As result he flunked away and after bouncing for 2-3 time finally crashed on ground. Far from the little crater made by his air blast.
He was able to reduce the impact and survive but he still took heavy damage from the fall. his both shoulders were dislocated which took all the force of air blast he used.
With goans of pain. Ethan tried to move but every muscle in his body were screaming in pain at even a slightest movement. Even breathing was agonizing.
So Ethan stopped trying to move and just loed there still.
'Let's just stay like this for while...' he thought and lost consciousness in middle of nowhere.
On hali carrier for better or worse, everything came to an end in just few hours after ethan fall off from the ship.
"the fourth engine is getting repaired as we speak. Hawkeye is imprisoned by natasha. And captain and tony are in the conference room." maria stated the report.
"where are the one's that fell off the ship right now ?" fury asked obviously devastated with while asking.
Fury had the gut feeling that something big is about to happen and he really want to know that how much praper they are to face it. More precisely who can still participate if fight breaks out. After all surviving the fall from more than 2000 meter height is not something everyone can do.
Watching fury desperate expression. maria quickly replied "we have the location of the thor and hulk. But other one....we don't know if he is ali... we don't know his current situation."
Hearing her words, fury's face turn solemn. He didn't know. If he can still belive that ethan was alive.
On other side, Ethan opened his eyes. he tried to use his hand to protect his eyes from direct sunlight. but realized about his dislocated sholders by wave of pain. It was lot less now but was still there nevertheless.
Being aura user had his own perks after all. if there's not any fatal injuries. Aura can help in fast recovery.
He was now able to move atleat. he rolled on the ground and hit his sholder in ground. one after other and fixed his dislocated sholders.
After giving few swings to his relocated sholder to make sure of them. Je took out smart watch from his ring and saw that he was passed out for more than 2 hours.
He had to get back to the black mansion to patched himself up first. he had one extra hover board for emergency which made ethan glad of his decision of being prepared for worst situation.
Ethan stood up as he dusted off himself. he looked around for while to observe the surrounding. He found out that he was at some kind of waste land far from the city. He finally took out the hover bord and flew straight toward his home.
It took him like 30 minutes to reach black mansion. The first thing he did after coming back was to made alice back online. She had herself completely isolated in his computer at black mansion.
After doing that ethan realized that glass of water was on placed the dinning table, filled onlybhalf of it. A White coat was hanging on the chair. before ethan can make head or tail out of it. A sound of Door opening came from washroom. When Ethan turned that way he heard.
"who the fuck are..."
"ETHAN!!" a famine voice echod in the hall.
