Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Gentleman Marshall

"I didn't ask anything again."

Looking at X's corpse, Levi couldn't help but reflect: "Am I not suitable for interrogation, two assassins in a row, and I didn't ask for any useful information? In other words, should I learn from those people in the movie next time?"

Just when Levi was considering whether to improve his interrogation process next, the phone on the table rang.

Picking up the phone, a voice came out: "X, how is the plan going?"

Levi: ???

Not sure if the person on the other side is from the Brotherhood, Levi was silent for a while: "If you are from the Brotherhood, then I'm sorry, X may be gone."

Sloan on the other end of the phone was silent for a while, and seemed to have understood the ending of X and Fox: "Levi Deller?"

"You know me?" Levi's eyes suddenly lit up: "You are indeed a member of the Brotherhood. Answer me, can you tell me where to find other Brotherhood assassins?"

Sloan obviously never met such an arrogant mission target as Levi, so he could not help but look out the window and be silent for a few seconds: "Mr. Levi, we will meet again, but it's too early, goodbye."

? ? ?

Levi was a little puzzled, he wanted to continue speaking, but found that Sloan had hung up the phone, and only a busy tone appeared instead.

He angrily put the phone back on the landline as he shouted: "Gahh! Another rat who hides his head and shows his tail!"

However, Levi was helpless. After all, he didn't have the ability to find someone along the phone line.

Sloan didn't want to show his face, and the only clues he had left were the two Brotherhood properties and the renegade assassin.

...

Ten minutes later, in front of a country villa on the outskirts of Chicago, comparing the terrain in his memory, Levi reached out and pushed open the wicket outside the villa and knocked on the villa's door: "Is anyone there?"

"Who?" a footstep stopped in front of the door, and an old voice sounded: "Who are you looking for?"

"Mr. Nikov Furnell? I'm looking for you, X introduced me."

"X?" Hearing the familiar name, although Nikov was still puzzled, he put down his guard.

As a peripheral industry of the Brotherhood that specializes in helping assassins with legal affairs, Nikov naturally knows X.

In other words, in the City of Chicago, X is the representative of the Brotherhood.

With a crunch, Nikov opened the wooden door and saw Levi: "It's too late, do you need my help with anything."

"A little thing." Levi smiled, reached out and took out the pistol that belonged to X from under his clothes, and pointed it at Nikov.

"Mr. Nikov, I want to know, do you want to die? Or do you want to live?"

While talking, Levi glanced at the two rooms on the second floor with breathing sounds, suggesting that the man in front of him had better think more.

Being pointed at by Levi, Nikov's face tensed up, but under the ties of his family, he finally made the choice Levi was willing to see: "What do you want me to do?"

"It's simple, everything you know about the Brotherhood, I want to know," Levi said.

"I don't know much." Nikov looked at Levi with some anxiety: "The thing you wanted, I wrote it down on paper, and put it in my study room."

"Then bring it here." Levi stared at Nikov as he saw him taking out a document hidden in a concealed compartment, and handing it to him.

Opening the folder, with the enhanced memory ability, Levi just glanced at it and recorded all the contents of the file.

Returning the defunct folder to Nikov, Levi stood up and glanced at the sleeping Mrs. Nikov and the child on the second floor. He then looked at the extremely nervous Nikov.

"Do you know what to do?"

Nikov was stunned for a moment, then nodded hurriedly: "I know, I won't tell what happened today."

"It's good to know, I won't kill you this time, I hope you can do what you say."

Leaving a warning, neither light nor heavy, Levi pushed open the door and disappeared.

An ordinary person like him who started a family and started a business, especially since he was so cooperative with his own interrogation isn't someone whom he should kill, Levi felt that it was not good so he might as well give him a chance.

Anyway, the Brotherhood is now a lump of meat on the chopping block. Even if Nikov really betrayed him and proceeded in informing the Brotherhood, it will not have any impact on Levi and it is not too late to kill him.

If this is going to happen, the next time he encounters such a situation, he can use Nikov as an example and kill him without any psychological burden.

After all, he is not a pure villain, and sometimes the reason is quite important.

Leaving Nikov's house, Levi ran against the sound barrier driven by his supersonic speed, and in just a few minutes he stood in front of the gate of the Jessvock Group.

Before entering the door, two security guards with pistols on their sides appeared in his eyes.

"As expected of the arms business, the security guards who watch over the gate can even be armed with guns."

"But that's fine, compared to writing, violence can bring more excitement."

He raised his hand and looked at the watch that didn't exist on his wrist, and then looked at the Jessvock building in front of him, where only the top floor was lit. Levi put on a clown mask, took out a long riffle and a short gun from under his windbreaker, and walked toward the building.

"Hello, first—"

As the glass door turned, the two security guards stepped forward subconsciously, then their eyes moved down, noticing the long gun in Levi's hand, they were instantly alerted as they immediately raised their gun and aimed at Levi.

"Warning! Immediately put down the firearm in your hand and lie on the ground with your head in your hands!"

"Annoying."

Levi's eyes swept over the two of them, when he raised his hand, two shots were fired, and the arc-shaped bullets shot out, hitting the pistols in their hands from the side.

Clang!

After the sound of a metal colliding, the security guards only felt numb in their hands, and when they regained their senses, they found that their pistol has a twisted barrel and had been released and had fallen to the ground.

The next moment, without any hesitation, the two of them knelt down decisively, stretched out their hands, and lay on the ground: "Sir, don't kill us, we surrender, we are willing to surrender!"

"Ah—"

Facing the two people who simply fell to the ground and surrendered, Levi couldn't help but laugh, he didn't have the habit of killing indiscriminately.

Hearing the roar of the security door being kicked out, the two security guards who were already anxious trembled again as they buried their faces deeply, and no longer had any intention of raising their heads.

But the cowardice of the security does not mean that the monitoring room is useless. The first time Levi entered the passage, the alarm call was received by Marshall Mario, the boss of the Jessvock Group.

"Sir, a gunman broke through the security door and entered the safe passage. We have organized the defense department to go there. Please go to the safe house to take refuge."

"I see." Marshall, who was accustomed to working alone frowned, he hung up the phone and soon stood up, he tidied up his suit a little and then walked to the safe room.

Marshall already understands the ability of some assassins who wanted to assassinate him and has prepared full security measures for himself, he has sufficient confidence in the safe house and defense force he has prepared.

Except for the Brotherhood, it is impossible for any assassin who follows scientific principles to break through from the first floor to his floor in three minutes.

And three minutes was enough time for him to walk into the well-prepared safe house like a gentleman, and watch the people who came to assassinate him be shot to death.
