Chapter 119: Poor little victim

"I wondered if was taking advantage of him for a long time. I was the only person he had, locked up like he was. Only going out when his father allowed it, and even then only to pre-approved locations until we could steal away on our own."

Vital fidgeted in his seat. He was uncomfortable about sharing such personal details, but made himself push through. 

"I asked him about it once. Whether he wanted to be with me only because there was no one else available. That pissed him right off. Accused me of seeing him like some poor little victim who was too damaged to know better. I never brought it up again. And the truth was that I was happy. I think he was happy too. He stopped cutting, I saw all of him on a nightly basis, so I would know if he'd started up again.
