Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Athena breathed a sigh of frustration when she found Zeus looking out into the fields. He had been in the same spot for sometime and she was getting sick of it.

"Zeus, are you okay?" She asked knowing fully well he was "The other gods are in an unrest because you refused to speak to them."

"It has just began." Was all he said. "What has began?"

"The fulfillment of a prophesy now forgotten. Hades is back and he has began yet another scheme."

At times like these, Athena left Zeus. Even though the leader of the gods was immortal, she was beginning to think he was becoming senile.

"And the gods?"

"They are of little importance now. Dismiss them with a command to be alert." He replied in a voice filled with authority before relapsing into silence. "As you wish." She said teleporting away.

Zeus woke up from a dream haunted by his parents and Hunters. Realizing it was time to go to school, he trudged his way into the bathroom. Few minutes later, he emerged from the bathroom in a blue shirt, a pair of dark pants and his sneakers. Soon, he realised that his bag wasn't in the room.

Walking downstairs, he was greeted with the aroma of blueberry muffins, maple syrup, bacon and strawberry pie.

"Aunt, have you seen my bag? I can't find it anywhere."

"No, dear. Did you bring it home?"

"Shit!" He cursed and ran outside. "Wait! Your lunch." Aunt Chrysanthemum called after him.

"Thanks." He replied, taking the wrapped up sandwich and sprinting through the door.

On his way through the gloomy forest, he searched every nook to no avail. Cursing and swearing in every old tongue language he could remember, he walked to school with the peculiar feeling that he was being watched. Making his way into the school, he braced himself for the unexpected.

As expected, he saw three figures blur past him and soon, he was surrounded by Klaus and his cohorts.

"What's up, human?" Klaus spat like he was an abomination. "Not today Klaus, I've kept mute about your peskiness but no more, I'm not in a very good mood." Zeus replied and was about to walk away when Kane, Klaus' best friend, pulled him back, thanks to his vampire strength.

"I could break your arm while feeding on you. Don't push it." He hissed while slowly twisting his arm.

Feeling the familiar tingle in his iris, he saw the looks of fear in their eyes. In a split second, he raised the vampire by the throat, slowly squeezing the breath out of him. Soon, every vampire in the hallway began hissing. After making sure the vampire in his hand was unconscious, he threw him aside and walked out into the field.

"Finally, I have found a place to rule. Fear lives around them and with that, I shall rule the universe." Hades said looking round.

"Hey weirdo, give me your money." An armed man in a ski mask ordered pointing a .78 Viper rifle at him.

"Silly you." Hades replied as the dark alley became even darker. "I am Hades, Ruler of the Underworld and from now on, you shall serve me and do my biddings."He said.

Suddenly, the robber began to tell in agony and pain. Bowing, he yelled as he began to transform. Horns grew out of his head, his fingers became claws, ebony black bat wings grew out of his back, his eyes turned soulless and his teeth became fangs.

"Master, Your wish is my command."

"Then go, go into this miserable world and spread fear, chaos death and destruction. But most important of all, multiply." He ordered as the winged abomination flew into the night sky.

Zeus was in the library when Mr Antonio, the only male phantom wolf left, and Miss Bell, Andromeda's niece's daughter, walked up to him.

"Are you Zeus?" Miss Bell asked. "Who's asking?" He replied.

"Show some respect." Mr. Antonio growled, his eyes glowing a strange shade of red and purple.

"Calm down Antonio. I am asking. Some people want to see you." She replied as she chanted a teleportation spell, transporting them to a chamber-like hall that had all kind of greek symbols that seemed to glow. Scanning the room, he noticed four cloaked figures sitting on a high table - The Guardians.

"He's here." She said.

Almost immediately, the figures dropped their hoods revealing a redhead lady and three men. Floating towards Zeus, she froze momentarily when he took a step backwards.

This involuntary action told him all that he needed to know; even the most powerful supernaturals were scared of him. However, he wasn't allowed to ponder on it as the redhead flew round him.

"Are you Zeus?" She asked "Yeah. I'm Zeus Arthur."

"Then we take it you know why you have been summoned before us."

"Gentlemen, why don't we introduce ourselves first? I'm Sofia, a sylph." She said

"I'm Carlos, a weretiger." A furry man with whiskers said.

"I'm Christoph, a witch elf hybrid."

"And I'm Evans, a Zyr."

Zyrs were the only creatures of the dark that could wield it. They had the ability to blend with the shadows and they could also hide memories, much like Shades.

"Are this the Guardians? Is this how you guys look?" Zeus asked with a surprised look. "What did you expect us to look like?" Sofia replied.

"Gloomy, wrinkly skinned, grey haired, ancient people. You know, with the dark chamber, cauldrons, like in the movies."

"Movies are just images of what humans think of something. The images of their dreams and unbridled thoughts." Christoph said.

"We've summoned you because you knocked out a vampire, beat up two others and disrupted peace."

"It's not my fault I shifted or that Klaus was being an asshole or that I can't control myself. You people never taught me anything." He retorted.

"That's why we are changing your schedule. From now on, you shall attend every class in Creed High, plus you shall receive extra training from us." Evans said.

"Training from The Guardians themselves? Cool." He squealed.

"However, you must not disclose this information to anybody. It is between us and the gods. You may leave." Carlos warned. "Thank you, Lord Carlos." Miss Bell said before teleporting them away.
