Chapter 36: Chapter 36: Chocolates

-Molly's POV-

I walked with Esme back towards the couch area, all the while babbling incessantly. I couldn't even begin to know what I was talking about, but I really didn't care. My intention was to get her mind off whatever dark thoughts I could see haunting her eyes.

Esme flagged down a server and gave the lady our order before walking us to the couch.

"I am very sorry for having ruined your night with Master Scott," Esme apologized.

I reached over and squeezed her hand. "It's alright. This was really important for you to do. I know you have been through a lot and needed to know your friends were still there for you. You definitely needed the reminder."

She gave me a weak smile. "It was not a good time... the whole explaining."
