Chapter 10: Rise of New Victor

'Hmm...new quest again but I just completed one of them. Hah... what a hellish night today is' murmured Victor with exhaustion from all the killing and muscle pain he got throughout the night.

'What? I can upgrade my skill again but deactivating the skill can make me really susceptible to being a slave of that thing. What's the idea system? How do we proceed with this procedure of new quest?' asked Victor as he had a feeling that the system doesn't want him to be a slave of a bug.
[Master, I will amplify all the pressuring mental waves making you feel suppressed but it will not affect your mind to become a slave rather Master might feel a big headache worst than ever before but it only also exhausts your mind and soul. Master, it is recommended to do this during the period of the red moon because the red moon also helps amplify the effect and the mind eater can protect Master by controlling other monsters. During this period, Master is vulnerable so a mind eater is the best protection.]
'Hahaha... I am gonna use my enemy as my protector, what kind of irony is this? I guess if I choose another time this beast cannot control other powerful beasts and during the procedure, I might get jumped by a beast. It doesn't have any physical power so I should be good right?' thought Victor as he was laughing at his misery of using an enemy that will try its best to make him a slave as his protector.
Time was limited and only one hour is remaining till the event ends, So victor sat near the tree and got ready for the quest. He took a deep breath and said" System, Start the quest"

[Starting procedure... Amplifying all the effects... removing slave mark aura...Increasing red moon effect... Starting in 3...2..1. Timer on. ]
''Ahhh... Ahhh...Ahhh" Yelled Victor with a loud voice as his head felt like it was getting torn off his body and all over his body many emotions started to take control. His body felt rage as never before as all the emotion converted to rage.
''Umahhh... Fu..CK...Fuc..king ki..ll yo...u" That was all Victor said as even making any reasonable word was hard for him so cursing is all he could do. He couldn't move his body so he just sat there feeling rage and pain. Although he was enduring it, blood was leaking from his nose and the corner of his mouth. his blood was boiling inside his own body.

It might have been one minute but imagine all the tension and emotions from morning to night of your worst day get dumped inside your body which is just equivalent to one second of torture Victor was feeling. It's like a dam filled with emotions that are broken and flooding inside his body. Some of the emotions like fear, anxiety, lust, depression, and anger are the majority, and some smaller emotions also act like a thorn dealing small emotional damage.
30 minutes later..., [Quest progress: 30/30 min timer: 00:00]
''Hah...hah...hah... Finally, it's over... it's over...it's over" For half of the minute Victor kept repeating the same word and when a smoothing feeling came inside his body then he woke up from the trauma and looked around confused. After a few seconds, he remembered everything and felt nauseous and sick.
" Shit, that was scary and painful. I don't know why but I was angry at everything and these beasts running around and their body odor didn't help one percent." said victor remembering his experience.

Stronger the emotion, the more powerful the attack. Some attacks can cause the ripping of the soul that makes the opponent unable to do anything.}
Skill description:
Higher Soul Healing: Can Heal soul to its peak point in seconds. Revitalize the soul every 1 minute and repair the broken soul.
Absolute Dominance: Any being with a soul that has a lower stat than the user will have their power suppressed and any mental and soul attack is negligent by skill. Have a 10% chance of not getting affected by a mind attack of a higher stat
Soul-Stealing: Any opponent that gets killed its soul will be used to nurture the soul of the owner. {System uses 60% of soul energy to repair the damages}
'Hmm... soul healing leveled up and became a little useful I guess but I don't know the broken soul part. Absolute Dominance will be useful for the event and future and soul-stealing is like a passive soul collector for my soul.' Victor did a quick analysis and looked at their usefulness and asked the System about soul energy and Damage thing.
[Master, System only gain enough power for small function but it's still not full power. So System converts the soul of any being into energy for repairing work. Soul is a bundle of collected energy that has its intelligence, so it is purer energy than the surrounding mana. It also benefits of helping master to recover all the damage done to Master's soul that still hasn't recovered.]
''I guess it's because I almost died on earth and was forced teleported damaging my soul. Anyway, I am happy that I finished this quest, and also the event gonna end in 15 minutes,'' said Victor as he got up and dusted his clothes, and looked around toward the beasts that got collected in 30 Minutes.
Victor Killed the new collected Beasts by the Mind Eater then, a message came from System

'So, a quest can also have a hidden reward then doesn't it mean I can gain a prize if I perform well in every quest' thought Victor as a little him was really happy that he got a prize from that hellish torture at least a little fruit from hard work is loved by everyone.
The timer is still running and five minutes are left and Victor still killing any beast that comes into the zone created by the Mind eater.
[Master, king of the jungle has noticed too much activity in one place, so it is advised to leave the area immediately.]
"Guess good things don't last long. If I am going from here then I will not leave anything for anyone else. System should I kill this bug? and Can I take that flower?" Victor wasn't happy that he have to leave his location but he knew if the system have given him a warning then it might be urgent.
[Master can kill the beast and chew that tree flowers to obtain a special reward and Master is advised to chew it while the flower is in the tree or it won't work properly. Plucking the flower will immediately kill it.]
Victor got near the tree and search for a bug and found a big bogger-looking bug crawling inside a hole in the tree. It looked like a maggot but its body was equal to a forearm of an adult human and its big head with a small pincer moving and eating the tree from inside looked disgusting.
Victor quickly killed the beast and stored its body without wasting a second he climbed the tree and ate the flower that had red color over its body and white in the middle. It's nine petals each with a unique golden pattern. He ate that flower with the other two beside it that looked the same but had a different pattern.
He jumped down and ran toward a hill because he knew that flower have an intoxicating smell and any beast will go mad for it. He ran for a few minutes and looked back and saw that the beast was going to that tree's location. He found a small overhang made of a giant rock that acted like a roop for ground.
Victor was sitting under it and huffing but suddenly, he has gotten an itchy feeling from the time he eat that flower. He looked at his hand which was red because of too much scratching and saw the Big paw mark slowly disappearing and newer better skin was replacing it. Many parts of his body were injured and because of the skill {Calm heart and soul}, he wasn't feeling too much pain but still that uncomfortable feeling was always there.
Victor's bones snapped back to their place, his wound closed up and his body slowly extracted black goo that had blood mixed in it. While all this is happening the Mastermind is sleeping because he was really tired from all the running and fighting.
A notification came from the system saying about the end of the Night event and also the start of a new beginning with new life, and power.
