Chapter 43: Book 1 - The Rose-Red Tyrant: Chapter 23; Magic Unchecked
The screen turns on as the chapter title plays "Chapter - 23; Magic Unchecked".
Just as everything was looking bleak. Someone cast a spell that changed Riddle's magic as all of the card suits in different colors started floating around and the roses had stopped fighting. Riddle yelled "Nngh?! What just –"
Ace is surprised as he asked in shock "Huh? I'm still alive? What's with all these playing cards?" Deuce said questionably "All the rose trees turned into cards?"
It then switched over to a shocked Cater and a strict faced Trey as he said "Riddle, stop this now!"
Cater then shouted his thought process out "Wait, is that Trey's "Paint the Roses"(Doodle Suit)?! But…how?!" Grim shouted out his observation as well "All the magic-sealin' collars are gone!"
Trey reminded the first years and Cater "What did I tell you? My magic can overwrite characteristics for a short time. So I used it to make "Riddle's magic" into "my magic"." Cater is now even more surprised at that revelation as he shouts "You can do that? That's some kinda loophole!"
But Riddle isn't done as he starts to try and continue to use his magic, unaccepting of defeat he shouts "N-no… Off with their heads! I SAID, off with their heads!"
Trey then walked up to Riddle telling him "Riddle, stop. Can't you see how you look right now?"
Then silence covered the grounds and some student chatter was heard "He… He was really gonna do it!" "He is completely out of control." "He's like some kinda monster!"
But Riddle is not in any kind of alright mind as he now shouts at Trey "What? Was my magic overwritten by yours? Does that mean your signature spell/unique magic is stronger than mine?!" Trey tries to extend a hand out towards Riddle as he tells him "Of course it doesn't. Riddle, take a deep breath and listen to us."
But Riddle isn't really listening as he continues to shout at Trey "Are YOU going to tell me I'm wrong too? After all I've done to protect the rule of law?!" Riddle puts his head in his hands as it seems like he's about to cry as he says "Do you know how much I've suffered for this?!" He then looks up and shows that his face has twisted into some form of sick anger as he shouts "I…I refuse to believe this!"
And Crowley instead of stepping up just shouts again "Cease immediately, Mr. Rosehearts!" Then offering some helpful information he shouts "Any further attempt to use magic will leave your magestone completely tainted with blot!" Yuu thinks 'Blot?'
But Riddle's face is back to being red due to anger as he shouts, completely having lost his mind "But… I'm right! I'M the one who's right! There is NO! POSSIBLE! ALTERNATIVE!"
Trey has had enough of this as he shouts at Riddle "Riddle, stop!"
But before it's shown what happens next the screen fades to black as "To be continued" showed before fully turning off.
