Chapter 2: Fortuitous Encounter
In this world, strength is everything, the strong rule while the weak live in fear. To gain strength, people cultivate and practice martial arts.
Cultivation is divided into many major realms and those major realms are further divided into nine minor stages.
Azure Sky Sect was one of the smaller sects among many sects present in the Myriad Dragon Country. Here, disciples are divided into many categories; outer court disciples, inner court disciples, and core disciples.
Those disciples, who are accepted by some elder or sect leader are also known as direct disciples.
Vanitas was a direct disciple when Fourth Elder was still alive, but after his death, he was reduced to being an outer court disciple and then handed the role to take care of herbs in the medicine garden.
Vanitas walked towards Black Cloud Forest in order to reach Red Star City because in order to reach there one had to pass through Black Cloud Forest.
As he was walking Vanitas suddenly had a bad premonition in his heart causing him to look back spotting Zhang Hu walking toward him with three other disciples behind him.
Vanitas wasn't stupid enough to wait for him, hence he turned in a certain direction and booked it as fast as he could.
He could hear Zhang Hu mocking him along with the other disciples.
After running for a couple of seconds Vanitas suddenly came to a halt as he stopped in front of a huge crevice, appearing at the edge of the crevice and stopping his advances.
"Look we caught the mouse! I wonder why he stopped~ oh how unfortunate to appear in front of the Void Crevice~" Zhang Hu laughed in delight.
Vanitas knew he was going to die, so he might as well go out in his way.
"Wait, Zhang Hu!" Vanitas exclaimed in a fake panicked voice.
Zhang Hu halted his movements expecting Vanitas to start begging.
Seeing he caught his interest Vanitas 'panicked' expression turned into a sinister one.
"Don't you want to find out your mother's secret?" Vanitas said in a provocative tone.
Zhang Hu furrowed his eyebrows not understanding what Vanitas was getting at, but since it was Vanitas's last moments he decided to dangle a last line of hope to him.
"What are you talking about?" Zhang Hu Sneered.
"Well, you see... your mother came looking for you on your birthday in order to surprise you but you were 'busy' though fortunately, I figured she was rather lonely so I figured I should at least comfort her like a good friend~" Vanitas chuckled.
Zhang Hu's face turned pale white as Vanitas continued.
"She was a total milf! Though of course, being the gentlemen I am I simply wanted to accompany her until you were free~ but who knew your mother was charmed by handsome looks. She became a cat in heat, I guess she never had a real man before considering how tight she was!" As time went on Vanitas's sinister expression grew more and more ominous.

Zhang Hu's body trembled while the disciples behind him were shocked at the sudden turn of events.
Zhang decided to give his mother the benefit of the doubt so he brought out his communication jade and activated it.
After a few seconds, a sultry yet seductive voice came out of the jade, "Yes Darling~?"
Zhang calmed down a bit and decided to ask, "Mother... what were you doing during my birthday?"
A moment of silence ensued before the voice came out again, "... nothing why silly~" this time the voice was a bit forced but only Vanitas could hear it.
Zhang Hu breathed a sigh of relief as he stared daggers at Vanitas but Vanitas still had a smug smile on his face, Zhang Hu wanted to cancel the transmission in order to not embarrass himself but he needed to know.

His last memory was the despaired Zhang Hu kneeling in utter defeat while his three lackeys stood there in utter shock.
Vanita's vision blurred as he lost consciousness mid-air.

Vanitas, who had lost consciousness, fell onto the thick layer of pitch-black grass which was almost five-meter tall, as blood started to flow out from his body, causing the once-black grass to turn a dark red.
Vanita's figure was slightly disfigured, as his chest became more and more ragged jumping up and down before it slowly started calming down before long it looked as if his chest was barely moving at all as his breathing became superficial.
As Vanitas was on his last dying breath, a sudden change appeared in the corner of where he lay, hidden in the grass.
In the corner, it was shrouded in pure black not radiating a single shed of light.

Inside the pure darkness, the air within trembled as a slight buzzing sound was heard.
Suddenly a red crown the size of a penny appeared out of the dark corner as it flew toward Vanita's body and started absorbing his blood like it was a five-star meal.
As it absorbed the fresh blood, the crown suddenly started trembling.
As time passed, similar to a snake shedding its skin; the red color started shedding off revealing a multicolored crown.
Suddenly, streams of multicolored light shot out in all directions. The red crown which was now a multicolored crown directly rushed into Xiao Yue's heart as if it was alive.
The multicolored crown entered his heart with ease, as the multicolored energy rushed out from the crown and began to integrate itself into his body.
After a few seconds, Vanita's body began to glow a bright multicolored almost as if he was wrapped in a cocoon.
The multicolored light brought dense vital energy along with it and began to repair Vanita's damaged meridians.
After it repaired Vanita's meridians, the multicolored light passed through his blood via his meridians, and it started to upgrade his bone and his bone marrow.
After refining his bone marrow, it entered his dantian, as his dantian also began to repair itself as dense vital energy rushed into it.
His meridians changed and became much stronger than before, his bone marrow was purified and upgraded and his dantian was also restored to perfect condition; everything about his body had a large upgrade.
When all of this was done, the cocoon that was holding him began to disappear revealing someone who wasn't Vanitas.
His entire appearance changed, no matter how small, everything had severe changes.
His old self and his new self were night and day, earth and heaven.
Since Vanitas was asleep he could be counted as a divine sleeping beauty.
The multicolored light vanished from his body as if it was never there, to begin with. The multicolored Crown in his heart also reverted to its original appearance, becoming a blood-red Crown.
Suddenly a pitch-black liquid started oozing out of his body before it started decaying and turned into nothingness. The black liquid was the impurities his body had gathered, that began to expel from his body.
After everything was done his skin somehow became pure which was something that should have been impossible.
Many men and women would die from envy and jealousy.
He created an ethereal painting that came straight from the heavens.

Slowly the beyond-gorgeous man's eyelashes trembled slightly before gently opening.
Vanitas had regained consciousness.
He became confused as he was wondering where he was but Vanitas noticed something was... off. Causing him to check his body and finding out that his dantian had repaired itself.
His beautiful face scrunched up cutely as he was curious about what happened.
Vanitas decided to check his body with his spiritual energy and found something in his heart.
"A crown?" Vanitas became bewildered.
He looked closer into the crown and noticed there was something strange within it.
"Is that a galaxy?" Vanitas said in a tone filled with doubt and disbelief but decided he shouldn't think too much about it as he figured he wouldn't come up with a suitable answer fast enough, and he had more important matters to attend to.
