"What can you say, Xiaohui? You like the food?"
Qiang started a conversation midway through their dinner. Xioahui looks up at him, not knowing what to say.
Qiang stared at her and smirked.
"What? Can't even say thank you."
"Why would my wife thank you?"
Meixiu answered for her. The man's head snapped quickly; it was as if his head was about to be detached from his body to give Meixiu a stern glare.
His hands tighten their grip on the silverware he's using. Is this bastard dumb? Can't she appreciate that she's even eating expensive foods?
"What kind of question is that? Asshole!?"
"I'm just asking-"
Meixiu's words got cut off when the door is opened by someone.
The girl from earlier went inside, flying to the ground with bruises around her face.
Everyone inside was shocked. Xiaohui and Lijuan stood up to help the girl, but a voice cut them off.
"Who told all of you to come here!?"
In front was a big guy with tattoos on his arms. He looks like a gang member and is ready to squish them at any moment with his bare hands.
Qiang gulps at the question. It's not his fault, right?
But it seems like it.
The girl on the ground looks up before pointing her finger at Qiang.
"This jerk didn't even stop me!"
"What!? It's my fault? Shouldn't you check us first before leading us somewhere!?"
The girl was pissed off; she stood up from the ground and walked toward Qiang before slapping him in the face.
Qiang was shocked. How can he let a lowlife simply slap him in the face!?
He looked at the girl and was about to slap her when the big guy went to him and held his arms.
"You don't have the right to raise your hands on her!"
"What? Didn't you beat her first?"
Qiang looks at the guy with ridiculous eyes. Is he kidding?
The big guy smiles and tightens his grip on Qiang's arm.
"Can't you see the difference between the gold and diamond box!?"
The guy asks, glaring at Qiang in anger. The man in question gulped; he could feel the bones in his arms starting to break.
"I know!"
"Then why did you stay here!?"
"It's not my fault that she wrongly put us in the wrong box!"
Qiang's face snaps to the left with a big red hand mark on his cheeks. The guy slapped him because he didn't like the explanation he received.
Xiaohui and Lijuan gasped and hid behind Meixiu. The taller girl could feel Xiaohui's hand tugging at her shirt.
"We need to go."
Xiaohui whispered.
Meixiu sighs and looks at Xiaohui; she holds her hand and smiles widely.
"Baby, do you trust me?"
Xiaohui furrowed her brow at what Meixiu said but nodded her head anyway.
Meixiu smiles before she intertwines their hands and looks at the guy and Qiang, who's on the floor.
"You dare to answer me back!"
"What? You were asking!"
"You should show some respect!"
"Who even are you!?"
Qiang looked at the guy as he held his cheeks.
The guy smiles before he puts his feet on top of Qiang's stomach, making him groan and cough.
"Ren Guo, does that ring a bell?"
Qiang's whole demeanor changes, as it seems like this guy might be connected to someone influential.
But probably not as powerful as Grandpa.
He slaps Gou's feet and stands up from the ground, making the guy in front more irritated than he is.
"I don't know who you are! You're just a lowlife!"
"Who says I'm a lowlife?"
Gou grabbed Qiang's neck and lifted him. The guy chokes and punches Gou's arms, but it doesn't stop Gou.
"I am the right hand of Kang Renshu! And you dare to disrespect me!"
Qiang's eyes widen at the information. Gou tightens his grip on the man's neck.
"I'm s-sorry for not knowing!"
"Too late."
Gou throws Qiang's body across the room.
Xiaohui closes her eyes, leaning more toward Meixiu as her hand tightens its grip. Lijuan couldn't bear to watch and closed her eyes again, holding Meixiu's shirt.
Meixiu continues to watch the scene unfold. She's both shocked and happy that Qiang got punished for being disrespectful.
Gou landed his last punch at Qiang, making the man's lips bust open, and he fell unconscious.
He dusted his hands and looked at the three, who were succumbing at the corner.
"And you! Do you all want to be like them!?"
Gou said, pointing at the girl and Qiang.
Lijuan and Xiaohui opened their eyes and quickly shook their heads to answer.
Gou smiles and nods, pointing at the door.
"Then go!"
Lijuan and Xiaohui quickly moved to their spots. Xiaohui tugs at Meixiu to go, but the girl only stands there, looking at Gou in confusion.
"Meixiu! Come on."
"Baby, you said you trust me."
Lijuan looked at the two.
"Come on, let's go now."
"I do trust you, but we need to go."
Meixiu smiles and drags Xiaohui towards Gou.
The girl tried to pull herself away, which she successfully did, and went back to the corner with Lijuan.
"What is she doing?"
"I don't know."
"We might get in trouble!"
Lijuan whispered and yelled at the girl.
"What are you three still doing here?"
Gou asks, glaring at Meixiu, who dares to walk in his direction.
"I am the owner of this box."
Lijuan and Xiaohui both stare at Meixiu in confusion.
"Meixiu, what are you talking about?"
Xiaohui asks in confusion. She's kidding, right? Because Meixiu can never afford to rent a box this expensive!
And let's not forget that she didn't give Meixiu money to rent one.
Where did she even get the money to afford this place?
Gou's eyebrows furrow before he laughs loudly at what Meixiu stated.
"Are you kidding me? How can you afford this box with your clothing?"
Gou said, looking up and down at Meixiu.
The girl just stared at him coldly and didn't say anything.
With this action, Gou got annoyed and was about to raise his hands at Meixiu when she spoke.
"You can ask Renshu for assurance."
Meixiu said it coldly. Gou's eyes burn with fire and swiftly move toward Meixiu's face.
Lijuan and Xiaohui closed their eyes, but they never heard the slap.
They both opened their eyes and rather saw Meixiu holding the man's arms.
"You dare to call Brother Renshu that!?"
"What? Ask him."
"Or do you want me to do it?"
Meixiu smirks. She then pushed the man's arms away from her and pulled out her phone.
She clicks Renshu's contact number and puts it on her ear.
"Ms. Song!"
"Renshu, can you tell your dog to stop interrupting our peaceful dinner?"
"Huh? Somebody's interrupting you?"
"Yes, now I want you to stop him in 5 minutes."
Meixiu puts down her phone and looks at Gou, who still has a snickered look.
"Huh, as if that is Brother Renshu."
As he finishes, the box's door opens widely, and Renshu comes in with a problematic face.
He stops to look at the people around him and bows down in front of Xiaohui and Lijuan, who are both stunned to speak as they see Renshu.
"Ms. Song."
Renshu said quietly for Xiaohui and Lijuan not to hear him. He bows down, shocking Gou, who is in front of Meixiu.
Renshu then looks at Gou, and his face shows anger.
"How dare you interrupt them!"
He asked and landed a punch on Gou's face.
"Ms. Song is the exquisite guest we need!"
Renshu whispered in Gou's ear.
"She is the successor to the Song Mafia!"
Gou's world crumpled in front of him. He quickly kneels in front of Meixiu and bows his head.
"Ms. Song! Please, forgive me!"
He said.
Lijuan and Xiaohui both saw the scene and were shocked at what was happening.
Lijuan looks at Xiaohui.
"Do you know your wife? Is she related to illegal stuff?"
Xiaohui looks at her.
"I know her, and there's no way Meixiu's involved there, she never even left the house!"
"Ms. Song, please forgive him."
Renshu looks down at the ground in shame at what his member just did.
Meixiu patted Renshu's shoulder and nodded her head.
"It's alright, please always check who comes in so we don't have any problems."
"Please rest assured."
Gou said and bowed his head deeply.
Meixiu looks at Lijuan and Xiaohui, smiling at them.
"I'm so sorry for what I did to him."
Gou said.
