Chapter 10: chapter 10
After all the cheering and tears of joy, all students were to go to the main hall for orientation at 5 pm, this gave us some time to rest, they also provided food and places to wash up for those who needed. After getting healed by Alyona though I just teleported to main building's roof as I had nothing to do but before I left all those who went through my test thanked me, they wanted to say more but I just waved my hand and teleported.
The main building is tall, tall enough to view the entire school from its roof. And from it I was also able to see that the school apparently also owned a forest, a very big one, one than spanned so far I couldn't see the end of it, without enhancing me eyes, but either way it was I beautiful sight 'what a nice view' I thought as I stared at the forest while the sun was setting.
Sitting on the edge of the roof, I continued to stare at the scene before me while I let random thoughts enter my mind, 'First of, all the patriarchs and matriarchs were here, some of them enjoyed the fact that all the 'commoners' might be unable to enter the school, but the end annoyed them, so I expect at least one to try something. As for the rest of the students that I just became aware of during the test, most of them, no, all of them were deviants and rarities I couldn't tell what elements they used but I was aware of only one other space user except me and that was Rina. Most were also happy that the commoners might fail but the end result pissed them off, they also seemed to have a lot of respect for me during that fight so I can expect them not to bother me, but they will bother the commoners, I have no obligation to protect them, but the three leaders changed my opinion of the rest of the commoners I will help those who are competent enough to receive that help. Haaaaaaaa' sighing in annoyance, I know that I have exposed myself but that was intentional, I want the rest of my peers that I'm not someone to be messed with, although I held back a lot that should be able to cement my power in their heads for those cocky brats.
'Another problem is that due to me showing what I'm partially capable of, I'll have to avoid those who will do all they can to get me on their side or show them that I won't join any clique. The power struggle of the future seems to be becoming worse day by day.' Something I never mentioned was that us humans also have enemies, although its obvious since I mentioned the beasts, but I'll expand on it. Even though we have control over most of the land in utopia there are some zones we don't control, that's due to several factors, some regions due to mana in those places and anomalies while other places it's due to the creatures living there and other regions they are protected by 'Guardians'.
I'll explain each one starting with the mana and anomalies. Mana Is the reason we are able to use our elements and do a lot of other things but just like how air is made up of multiple gases so is mana although we only need oxygen we can't help but take in nitrogen and other poisons like sulfur because we don't choose, as long as oxygen is present we'll be fine, the same goes for mana. There are some aspects of it that aren't well known yet and how they influence the human body, the regions we control mainly comprise of the 'good part' of mana of course there is some bad in these regions but not so much to affect us, keep in mind there is no actual 'good part' I'm just doing this to make explaining easier. The regions we don't control though mainly comprise of the 'bad part' of mana, although I say 'bad' it does the exact same as 'good' mana, but it does much more, using this kind of mana to cast a spell will lead to death for humans because we don't know how to harness it. This bad mana also leads to the anomalies in those regions, like random rifts, infernos and earthquakes popping up though all these don't happen in the same region they are split like an earthen mana anomaly region.
You can imagine the dangers these places possess, the good thing it that the tainted mana doesn't spread. Spatial, darkness, blood and time mana anomaly regions haven't been discovered yet, I don't have all the info or even half of it regarding these topics, but this is all I know regarding this one.
Next up are the creatures, some regions possess extremely deadly and powerful creatures, I could call them beasts, because that's what they are, but they can speak and think like a human, some even better. These creatures rule a specific regions and protect them, all of these creatures are as old as the 4 main houses, there is also apparently one creature for each element. Some say there were there since creation, I'm not sure this is true but apparently the deviant elements and rare elements were only possessed by them until we deviants and rarities showed up, the reason I'm skeptical is because if these creatures were so powerful that no human except the founders have ever seen them and come out alive, how did they know of the other elements? and wouldn't the founders do something? Also, the creatures possessing the rare elements have never been recorded, some houses decided to take these creatures as their symbols like the house of lightning their symbol is a white tiger with white lightning surrounding it, it's the lightning creature that calls itself 'Nox'.
