In the forest few kilometers away from the demon lords castle appeared two people who were in a bad condition. Aiden and Andrew were lucky to run away from the trap that the demons set for them. but there seems to run out.
both Aiden and Andrew were in a bad condition. even though Andrew was stabbed by a sword Aiden was in an worse condition then Andrew. The demon king has beaten him very badly not to mention Aiden burned most of his blood to be the demon kings match.
"We need to keep moving there might be more of them coming here. So when they arrive we would be long gone." said Andrew and Aiden just nodded.
Aiden started to walk while carrying Andrew and didn't have the ability to run no matter how much he tried since he was pretty wounded and carrying someone else on his back.
"I can't believe it all of them were demons in disguise and I didn't even notice" said Andrew.
"It was my mistake the first day I met them felt that there was something wrong about them. but I didn't even do a thing."
"It's fine we are alive Aiden."
"NO ANDREW IT'S NOT FINE. EVEN THOUGTH I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG I DIDN'T SHARE A THING WITH YOU AND NOW LOOK AT YOU ALMOST DIED BECAU." and before Aiden could say anything else he received a punch to the head by Andrew.
"We are not out of danger yet and here you are shouting like an idiot." said Andrew while coughing blood. after Aiden heard the coughing sound coming from Andrew a bright light started to form on Aiden's hand.
"Idiot you shouldn't have healed me you need all your mana. if something bad happens."
"I'm sorry." said Aiden while lowering his head.
the two kept walking for half an hour till Aiden saw a cave up ahead and went straight to it.
"why are you heading to that cave ?" asked Andrew
"We are both tired we need to rest for a bit before continuing"
after Aiden got near the cave he tried to sense if there was any monster or demon was inside and when he saw that there was nothing wrong. He proceeded to go inside with Andrew on his back and when they got inside he laid Andrew on one of the cave's walls and he laid beside him.
"I don't think it's a good idea to go back." said Andrew
"why ?" asked Aiden
"there might be more of them waiting for us back there if they failed to kill us both in the castle."
"then where should we go ?" asked Aiden.
"The woods you have a house there that no one knows of, right ?"
"Yes only me and you. let's talk about all of this after we rest. you rest first I'll stay up for a bit."
Aiden then got up and started to set some traps at the entrance of the cave and when he felt that he put enough traps he went to Andrew and saw him sleeping soundly. So he sat beside him and closed his eyes.
30 minutes later Aiden woke up and held his weapon because all the traps he deployed were triggered. when he looked at Andrew a look of fear started to form on Aiden's face. Andrew was bleeding heavily from the wound he got from the demon. Aiden rushed to Andrew and took out a piece of cloth and started to press it on the wound but it wasn't enough so he took another piece and another but the bleeding didn't stop.
Aiden knew what that meant. When Andrew was stabbed the weapon he got stabbed from had a curse that causes its victims to bleed none stop and that curse triggers at a specific time and now Andrew was dead leaving Aiden all alone. tears started to drop from Aiden's eyes
"AGHHHHHHHHH"
he started to scream from the top of his lungs. this continued for 10 minutes after that the cave was silent. Aiden got up and took the cape that was on his armor and covered it on Andrews dead body but before that he noticed something there was a small note in Andrews right hand.
Aiden took the note but before he could read it. Aiden felt that there was someone behind him he picked his weapon at lightning speed and aimed it at the person behind him and to his surprise the weapon didn't cut through the person behind him. because as soon as the weapon connected it broke into pieces.
But Aiden didn't stop there white flames started to form on his hand and he went for the kill. But yet again his attack was stopped again by an invisible force. But then he was shocked when he saw the person he attacked.
"what are you doing here ?"
"hello again Mr. knight. Hope you have been doing well."
Aiden wasn't having it and went to attack the little girl again. But for some reason he couldn't move an inch.
"I'm sorry Mr. knight but we don't have much time." after that golden flames came out of her hands and she threw it on Andrews body.
"the flames of purification !!!" Aiden knew this flames from the first glance. only the ten guardians have them and it is said that these flames are the purest kind of flames.
"Thank you."
I thanked because when a human dies in the demons territory there is a chance they will turn into one, and I was thankful for her to use her flames on Andrews body which purify him and won't allow him to turn into a zombie.
"It's wasn't much compared to what you did for me Mr. knight."
"I didn't know a little girl like you were a guardian from the beginning."
"well we guardians have our ways to hide ourselves. Enough of that I'm here for you now. How are you doing ?"
"I don't know you tell me."
"Sorry." she said while lowering her head.
"it's ok. But I'm serious what is one of the ten guardians doing here exactly ?"
"Well I came here to give you your reward. I had thought about it and after seeing what happened to you I knew what was the perfect gift for you."

After she said that I got this notification and I looked at her and she gave me a light smile.
"I'm truly grateful for you." I said to her and gave her a smile then I pressed [YES]. After that I started to transform into white particles, and then I disappeared dropping a piece of paper that had the letter
'don't lose hope'
"I hope you make better choices then me Mr. knight."
as soon as she said that she turned into white particles.
