Chapter 2: 02
A month has passed since Ninja Academy started.
"Ouch!"
Sorano fell from the top of a tree.
Walking through the trees was much more complicated than Sorano thought. However, he did not give up; he got up and started climbing again.
"This time I will succeed," he said with determination.
Sorano lifted his foot and concentrated his chakra into its sole before pressing it against the tree. He repeated the movement with his other foot, sticking vertically to the tree and started to sprint.
Soon, he arrived near the top.
"Just a little more."
Sorano made an extra effort and finally reached the top.
"Fioo ...."
He felt some relief.
It took him a whole month to climb the tree, and it was frustrating; he knew Sakura had done it in one attempt.
"Team seven was not my age when they did it", Sorano consoled himself.
It was an accomplishment; he had learned tree walking before anyone on team seven.
Sorano pushed them out of his mind for the moment and wiped the sweat that had formed on his forehead.
"At least I finally did it", he said, smiling from where he stood, hanging from a tree over a hundred feet high.
Sorano cut off the flow of chakra from his feet and let himself fall to the ground, his feet absorbing the impact of his landing as easily as breathing.

His eyes widened as the status screen appeared, and a wide smile appeared.
"That's what I'm talking about!" he raised his fist in the air.
During his training, he noticed how much easier it was to call upon his chakra and use a specific amount of it and how natural it had become to keep sticking to the trees while learning the chakra control exercise.
His chakra capacity had increased by half; his Ninjutsu progressed enormously, his Taijutsu also progressed by doing his daily training, and the Genjutsu slightly increased. All this in one month! The knowledge he acquired at the academy helped a lot too.
With his progress reflected and now in numbers, he felt he could do it... he could dance with Madara.
The next morning.
Ninja Academy.
Iruka Sensei stood with all the students in the training yard, holding a notebook.
"Today is the Monthly fight test. When you hear your name, get near the sparring area," said Iruka Sansei as he called out the competitors' names.
"Nara Shikamaru, Sorano Arasai"
"What a bad luck!" Shikamaru said as he walked over to the fighting spot.
'Did he notice anything?' thought Sorano.
He had not ever done anything to draw attention to himself. According to him, he played the role of the secondary character very well.
Nevertheless, that was not the case.
Go Sorano-Ken!
Sorano-ken will win!
The girls shouted for Sorano.
Watching the scene, Sorano became speechless. In terms of appearance, he was actually on par with Sasuke.
He had long brown hair, thin eyebrows, and flashy scarlet eyes. What caught the eye was his mature character, which exceeded his age. At least, that's what the others saw.
"Hajime!", said Iruka Sensei.
