Chapter 8: Meeting anemone
i levitate down with my telekinesis and ride the bicycle with the sound of a pedal can be heard while i am heading to anemone
"I am already going to meet one of the important characters of this world, what should i say when i first meet her anyways? should i reveal my real name or make a fake name?"
'Let's think of info about her, Anemone leader of the resistance camp, she has a steadfast personality and cares for her friends.'
i begins to think about what should i do that i had already almost arrived at her
her eyebrow begin to rise when she sees the weapon not touching his back from the distance while riding a bicycle
"HEY thanks for the help you don't look to be around here"
as i got caught surprise i starts to think fast about my fake identity "i am an explorer i just arrive here, by the way, we haven't introduced ourselves my name is Evan" 'i already know your name but it is better to keep quiet about it'
"oh where my manner my name is Anemone leader of the resistance as i was saying you are explorer" she begins to bring her hand for a handshake
"uh... yep i only begin my explore today but machines always find ways to hate me you know"

with a bit of hesitation i bring my hand for a handshake that she caught my hand by surprise that she immediately pull back her hand
"uhh is something wrong anemone?" my heart race fast because i thinks i got busted, 'oh please I did not get busted on my first day here'
she begins to feel a bit of anxiety and confuse cause of the situation
"no....nothing I am surprised as myself too" she begins to relax slightly, 'like my identity is safe for now.'
"cough anyways do you know where are the nearest place I can live? or even trade if possible" i ask for information of her location
nervousness can be seen in the way she talk "Y-yeah ill lead you to my camp but first, we should get the scrap they are worth a lot of G"
"Alright i am down for it" i find the nearest machine and approach and start to gather scrap but there is a problem
"Anemone which scrap should be gathered??" I forgot that this is not like a game where you can just gather G just from getting close to it I am such an idiot
Confusion can be seen in her expression "how do you explorer don't even know the basics of gathering scrap?"
i quickly lie about my origin again "yeah.... about that i got a bit of a memory problem when fighting a machine soo can you explain how to do it?"
"hmmm fine i am only going to explain this once so you better listen to it alright?" she said and begin to walk to me
"Thanks" yes she bought it i thought to myself
she begin to explain which part worth G and which part that useless and even begins to get off the topic of what i should get to make a lot of G and what is it for with a happy expression
i see her face begin to smile from interaction, 'aww she really adorable I wonder can I make her blush'
"Anemone you sure are happy to explain from your expression alone."
But wow the expression is literally matches her emotions, talk about future tech, can not wait to build myself one
"W-what" this question makes Anemone touch her face to check her expression and begin to feel the embarrassment on her face, 'aww she can also feel embarrassment too how adorable can i keep her?.....Yeah right.'
"yeah i don't know why i am smiling with a stranger who i just first meet"
"first love sight maybe?"
suddenly a dark smile can be seen on her face and i start to feel a shiver from the aura and her hand turn into a fist
"don't tease a girl alright?"
quickly i begin to answer her answer with a straight pose
"YES MAAM" dang that was scary, even a girl in the form of an android can be scary
"if you are done let's get out of here i don't want to deal with another machine while we are here," Anemone said as she is done picking up some machine parts and left the area
"Sure" i start to gather all the scrap and put it in the bicycle and start to pedal while following her
"hmm"
i can see Anemone curious from her expression
"is something wrong?" i start to feel nervous from the way she sees my weapon
"nothing it is just pretty rare to see someone other than YoRHa using the float weapons"
i start to sweatdrop and nervous from my face and got thinking quickly, 'crap i forgot my weapon it is still floating in my back' "yeah i make it so it can float pretty cool right?"
"i see" her eyes begin to narrow but i quickly stop her when i ask a question to stop her observation
"i have a question why did the leader of the resistance is out here recon without anybody, usually a leader gave the task to somebody else right?"
she stop her observation and thought her self for an answer "ahh yes the reason is simply that we don't have enough personal to do it"
that answer makes me stop walking in my track "wait wait, what about YoRHa not going to ask for their help?"
i start to question her because i ama worried something is different
"that's the problem YoRHa unit is currently doing an Operation, i don't know what but all of the YoRHa is currently called back too, without the YoRHa help we are the one that deals with the machine that enters the city, and the result? lack of personal I have to step down to help deal with the machine until YoRHa comes back from the operation, hahhh."
i can see a tired face from her and feels sorry for her, 'wait this is my chance to make a name for myself' "if you want i can help you deal with the machine"
"i will be grateful if you can" small smile can be seen on her face for a moment before it is gone
as both Anemone and me talk i can see Anemone suddenly stop
"We are here welcome to the resistance camp"
when she said the word, my face begin to turn happy, and starts to think 'this is where my journey begins huh?'
