Chapter 15: Volume II: Konoha's Night Owl Chapter 15: Uchiha In Anbu
Six months have passed since I got my hands on the Flying Thunder God Jutsu. Thanks to my knowledge in Fuinjutsu I was able study up to three characters of the seal created by The Fourth. Actually, I don't need this because of the power of Nightcrawler from one of wishes. But if I don't show any kind of improvement in understanding this seal, I won't be able to use my teleportation ability when ever I need to. If I could make a new seal from this notes of the Fourth and the original Jutsu of the Second, I can say that this is how I got the ability to teleport.
Other that I've been focusing on the training of the trio, and results were showing itself when they performed their combination attack in front of the current Ino-Shika-Cho trio, they were impressed in training I gave their kids. And with that I ended their training regime much to the happiness of Shika and Ino, but Choji was saddened by it as he won't be getting any more delicious food that I cook for him.
Then there's my teammates, Kenji have died in a mission that he and Yugao took part in. Because of that, Yugao has been suspended from her duty for a year but I find time to spent some time with her mainly, Kenjutsu training. Thanks to that she was able to create a new sword style which integrated the fire release in it.
As we were two men down replacement came after a month. For Kenji a guy named Sugaru. Weird guy actually, and from what I've heard he's the spy planted by Danzo to observe Itachi who will be joining our team shortly, replacing Yugao as she is suspended for the time being.
Ko, who is a Uchiha hater to his bones have been ranting at me about how an Uchiha will disrupt our team coordination and whatnot. The rest of us just ignore his rants out rightly, the Sugaru guy have been silent for most of the time, so I thought he's a mute, until I asked him about it directly. To my horror, he can speak, but with the help of the insects housing in his body. Hearing this I knew he was from the Aburame clan, and from what I've written in my book about the main personal and events that will happen in the future, this guy was not included in it. So, getting paranoid, I tagged him with a fire release shadow soldier, who will be very effective against his insects and with this I can keep an eye on him. Last year Itachi became a Chunin and this year he's been invited to join the Anbu under the direct command of Hokage.
Today is the day he will be joining our team, and Ko is restless about it too. Well, I can't blame him, after all his sister died during the attack but it's just that his hate is misplaced.
As we were talking with each other the door opened and Itachi came in. Entering the locker room he said "I've been assigned to the ANBU from today. My name is Itachi Uchiha. I would appreciate your guidance."
"I see. So yore the one." Yamato greeted him. "Use the locker that's the furthest in the back."
"Yes sir." Saying that Itachi walked towards the locker which is right next to me.
Seeing him I smiled and said "Good to have you here."
"Good to see you too." Itachi replied to me with a smile.
A little further away from us, Ko spoke "Is that him?"
"They say he's eleven years old."
"Well we already have a monster at that age amongst us." Ko said looking at me.
"Team Ro is to assemble at the third training ground in five minutes."
"Yes Sir." We replied.
Looking at Itachi I said "I'll be there with the Captain."
Nodding at me Itachi started to wear his ANBU uniform, and I left with Yamato to get Kakashi. Looking at me Yamato asked "You are friends with him right?"
"Yes."
"Then you should teach about the rules and formation of ANBU."
"Sure, no problem with that."
After finding Kakashi we left to training ground three, when we reached there we saw Itachi being attacked by the rest of the team Ro.
Seeing this Kakashi said "What are you doing? Explain yourself."
"We wanted to make sure he had the skills to be one of us."
Hearing this Yamato asked "Do you have problem with the decision of your superiors?"
"No, it's not like that…, "
"Haven't you already sensed that he isn't ordinary?" With that they were silenced.
"I'm Kakashi, Captain of Team Ro." Looking at Itachi Kakashi continued "Yore new, but I want you to learn the ANBU rules and formation quickly."
"Yes Sir."
After five minutes of explanation from my side, Itachi performed his Shurikenjutsu and impressed the teammates, the only exception being Ko.

At age 10, Konoha officials allowed Itachi to compete in the Chunin Exams by himself, he was denied his opportunity to compete in the Chunin exam thanks to his Jonin instructor. Danzo who had interest in Itachi swayed the council and made him compete in the chunin exams, which he passed easily and became a chunin. After becoming a Chunin he left the Team two, and he was recruited in to the ranks of Anbu, by the Third Hokage.
As word spreads that a new member was joining the Anbu — the youngest one ever and an Uchiha, the current members deem that they would test the young man's mettle. The citizens still doesn't know that, Bokuto joined the ANBU at the age of nine, it was kept secret as per the order of Hokage.
Meanwhile, Guy makes a bid to Hiruzen to join the Anbu after realising that Kakashi was becoming withdrawn once more, however, he is rejected not only by the Third, but by Danzō as well who informs him that he lacked the quality of "darkness". Fugaku congratulates his son for his enrolment into the Anbu reminding him of his obligation to the Uchiha. Danzō, on the other hand, tasks Itachi with keeping them informed of the clan's actions.
At age 11, Itachi joined the Anbu as its second youngest member. Itachi is assigned to Team Ro, working alongside Bokuto, Tenzo and with Kakashi Hatake as his captain. During his mentorship, Itachi became acquainted with Kakashi and showed interest in the Sharingan he possessed despite not being an Uchiha.
Danzō and Hiruzen orchestrate a two-sided mission against the Prajñā Group: Might Guy, Kosuke Maruboshi, and two other ninja were to exchange scrolls with the group while Kakashi and Itachi were to assassinate the group that was suspected of double-crossing Konohagakure. The higher-ups suspicions are confirmed when the Prajñā Group attacks the Konoha-nin; a battle ensues and the Prajñā-nin are defeated. Horrified by their real mission, Guy watches on as the two Anbu assassinate the opponents.
Returning to the village, Guy is debriefed and pleads with Hiruzen to release Kakashi from the Anbu, fearing what he had become. Meanwhile, at the Naka Shrine, the Uchiha hold a meeting with Itachi reporting the standing of the village as Shisui watches on. As he sits down, Itachi spots the stone tablet behind his father and begins reading it with his Sharingan.
