Chapter 6: Bronze of a Star

{For the grammatical errors between: He/She... Him/Her His / Hers, I'm sorry!}

.....

Yang Xin wiped the tears from her face and smiled when she heard Yang An's cute yet serious words.

His hard years of worry and anxiety could finally come to an end.

Yang Xin showed her fragile side today, but only for a few moments before quickly composing herself when a crucial doubt crossed her mind.

She clearly noticed Yang An's changes these past few days, but how did that happen? Could it be that…

A crazy thought popped into his mind. Remembering how her nephew was daily trying to create new remedies, she couldn't help but look in surprise at Yang An's tender and soft face.

"Yang An, the change in your body… was it because of the medicinal materials you asked me to get the other day?"

Yang Xin asked in a slightly anxious voice.

Yang An knew he couldn't hide it from Yang Xin, and he didn't want to. So he simply nodded in response.

"Yes, Big Sister."

"Y-you… did you manage to create a medicine with this kind of miraculous effect all by yourself?" Yang Xin asked.

In fact, she certainly already had the answer in her heart for this question, but still wanted to clarify.

Yang An nodded once more. He had no intention of hiding the formula from Yang Xin, so he didn't bother to hide the truth.

Also, with his track record of several months trying to create his own medicine on his own, Yang Xin would not be so suspicious of him.

He then proceeded to tell Yang Xin about the effects of refining the body within the medicinal bath.

"Refining the entire physical body to five-star bronze level in such a short time? Is this really possible with just a few days?"

Yang Xin was shocked! Even though she had already expected this answer, it was still amazing to hear it from Yang An's own lips.

However, after hearing the downsides and excruciating pain that was necessary for the body transformation process, she finally understood.

Not many people in Glory City are willing to go through hell to get stronger. On top of that, the price for maintaining the medicinal bath regularly was extremely high. Something not even some aristocratic families could afford.

Yang Xin processed it all quickly in her mind, before smiling at Yang An who was looking at her curiously, "My good nephew! Now your big sister can finally feel at ease." Yang Xin inwardly sighed. "Okay, you can go back to your room this day to rest. I will report the good news to President Gu. He may not show much of these years, but he was also looking for some old recipe that might help her in her cultivation." Yang Xin said with a smile. She wanted her nephew to learn to be more humble, so she said so.

Yang An looked at Yang Xin's smiling face for a few seconds, and then finally nodded. But before he left, he handed her two pages with all the steps to prepare the medicinal bath.

One page was a recipe that would make the medicinal bath's effects stronger to be used by the people of the alchemists' association, and the other page contained the recipe with the weakest effects to be sold throughout the city.

This would make everyone in Glory City be able to buy it, and it would also help the Alchemists Hall tremendously. Furthermore, this would also limit the purchasing power of noble families.

With this plan in mind, The Alchemists Association would grow stronger and could be even more powerful than the noble families. And Glory City would also quickly strengthen, as even common people could use the medicinal bath as long as they weren't afraid of any pain.

Yang An didn't want to sell too much of it to the Sacred family, but he had no choice at the moment. For now, that was the least he could do for the Alchemists' hall.

However, that was just the beginning!

After saying goodbye to Yang Xin, Yang An quickly ran to his house and entered his library. He wanted to quickly start his path in the cultivation world.

However, he would still need two to three days for his meridians to completely calm down before he could receive soul energy baptism.

As such, he would remain within his library, studying his knowledge before finally starting his cultivation.

….

Three days later…

Inside the Alchemists' Association, in a large yard surrounded by lush trees, a young man sat in a lotus position while breathing softly.

Yang An was now finally cultivating after three days of recovery. Her entire body is absorbing a lot of soul energy right now. Its speed compared to a few weeks ago is simply unmatched, as is the difference between night and day.

Morning came, and pleasant sunlight entered the yard and warmed Yang An's body.

He opened his eyes, which for a moment seemed to glow like flames, and a wind surged around his body, dispersing the white mist of the morning.

His body was covered with a bronze-colored aura layer, signifying that he had officially entered the bronze level of a star.

From zero to the bronze level of a star in less than a day, it was considered the beginning of a new era for Yang An. At this moment, Yang An had finally become the demonic spiritualist he had dreamed of.

This was the same stage that had previously been almost completely unreachable for him.

"Finally… I've finally become a full-fledged demonic spiritualist. Now there's no need for Big Sister to worry so much about me…"

Yang An was rejoicing at his breakthrough.

Standing up, Yang An stretched his body, causing all of his bones to snap simultaneously, before heading back to his room. . He started his cultivation last night with his technique, "Nine Spirit Mimicry" and continued until this morning. So he quickly went back to wash up and put on a new set of clothes.

After Yang An donned a new set of clothes, he walked to the Alchemists' main hall.

As word of his recovery spread, many alchemists got wind of it. Among them was Gu Yan, the association president, who learned from Yang Xin about his recovery.

As the medicinal herbs Gu Yan gifted him were extremely important for his advancement, Yang An felt it was only right to meet and thank him personally.

>>Alchemists Association, Main Hall<<

Sitting on a prayer mat was an old man with a long beard, dressed in the large white robe of a master alchemist. In front of him was a small alchemical furnace that was emitting a faint sweet fragrance throughout the hall.

Yang An arrived in the hall, and waited until he saw three golden pills floating out of the furnace, and falling into a Jade vial specially prepared by Gu Yan.

"Greetings, Chairman Gu!"

Yang An bowed slightly as he realized that Gu Yan had finally noticed him.

"Oh, you're finally here. Come, sit down." Gu Yan smiled as he saw Yang An arriving, and pointed to the rug next to him.
