Chapter 27: Chapter 26...Fighting an Evolved magic born
I got my essentials and walked out,hah! i have a storage ability, aint no way i am leaving anything behind,what if someone snoops in behind my back.
I took everything with me,i changed into a normal white shirt and black pants,then i wore my normal fighting gear,i had it bought yesterday,it only protected my vital organs and might even break after a fight or two.
But i wasnt going for defence anyway,i was going for speed,its one of my saving graces, that and my ability to go unnoticed by those that use magic to spot me.
As i walked down the road, i began thinking whome i wanna fight,Unlike normal magic born monsters,Evolved monsters were much more powerful, evolved are magical creatures that possess far more complicated magical abilities and control of those natural abilities that would almost give the illusion that they were casting magic. They are creatures that have evolved beyond simple magic being and are the first serious threats on this list. Their natural abilities are strong enough to be able to fight off many lower ranked members of a squad and are usually the most common creatures that squads are tasked to take down as missions.
Which means that now i will be fighting monsters that i would turn tail and run away from previously,
'Lets just use half my skill points on Genius and half on Weapons Master' i decided to use them so that i can feel safe.
Thise evolved monsters were nothing to scoff at,Finally i went into the forest area, the geology of black clover is really weird for me to understand.
sometimes i feel like i am standing on a giant mountain that has a several platforms that divides the humans into a discriminatory fest.
Traveling through the forest i reached my previous settlement,it was on the way and wouldnt hurt to have some safeplafe for me to come back.
Good thing no one took it for themselves,now i have to go deeper into the woods for my evolved training, yes! that's what I am calling it now, Evolved training.
After running into some poor blokes, I finally saw a monster that fit the definition of Evolved monsters.
(I don't know much about what type of monsters roam in black clover except for wyverns, dragon and false dragons,I also heard there are some kinds of Arch magical but whatever)
It was a monster that I was all too familiar with, though this one was rather big as compared to it's lesser counterparts.
A whopperflower, I don't know what its called but that's what I have been calling it.its a monster that's able to release a kind of Ice magic that starts freezing it's surroundings, slowing down its opponents, beside that, it can also release giant ice spikes from the ground, and summon smaller companions
'This is gonna be a hard fight, it's only weakness is it's head, as the stem and root can be regenerated at fast paces.Thank God I have Predator skill, or I would have been in a thought fight, more tough then what it is for now.'
The giant flower type magical beast had another weakness, it was stuck in one place unlike the smaller companions that it summons
I took out a bow and some arrows from my space and strapped them on my back, taking out one arrow I put it on fire and took aim
'Preemptive strike bitch!'
The arrows whistles as it cut apart the air, traveling at fast speed, piercing the plants weakness as it shrieked in anger and pain,I did considerable damage.
Wasting no time I shot two more arrows but it was already on alert as a protective ice shield covered the head
I put back the bow and ran towards the plant with a spear in one hand and a battle axe in another.
I have been fighting using two different types of weapons and it's been real tough for me,but this allows me to get the best out of my skills.
Several vines launched at me as I felt my danger sense spike high, it was planning kn skewering me with ice spikes
I used the Axe and cut apart the vines and rolled to the side, in time to see several spikes come out of the ground.
"You gonna have to try harder if you think I am that easy to beat" I snorted and to my surprised the bastard showed signs of understanding me.
Ice started spreading from it's base and surrounds the area, which means he is probably trying to take away my mobility.
I pulled out a bottle from my space, one that I had prepare my self, a self made Molotov that works wonders
I threw it at the bastard as it started writhing in pain, it's vines flying around with no target, The ground that was starting to freeze stopped and I ran towards the giant flower with another Molotov, throwing it towards the ice shield,I'm hopes of weakening it enough so that my spear can pass through
I could break through the shield with pure strength and the use of my Weapons master skill, but that will allow the monster time to protect itself.
I threw the Spear like a Javelin as it pierced the ice shield and struck its head once again, drawing green blood or whatever it was,
*Cheeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa*
The giant flower released a terrible roar as the shield broke completely, my first fell down as well,I wasn't worried about that and delivered as much strikes as I could with the axe in hand.
Before I had to jump away and run since it started showering me with vines and ice spikes, it was truly angry now.i though about running away and coming back , but that bastard summoned a giant thick ass wall of ice that I felt would take too much time to break.
It's shields were up again, which meant I will have to do all those steps again and fight it.
I kept dodging and cutting away at it's body as much as I could, waiting for the right moment, After a while it summoned small monsters that looked exactly like it and the fight got more intense.
I equipped a shield and a sword and dealt with the little ones, my shield taking most of the damage from the giant one.
After killing the tenth little monster,I decoded it was time to strike at it again, it felt weaker them before, like it was running out of energy.
My danger sense tingled again, a spike was about to puncture me from below,I didn't move away much to the surprise and happiness of the flower as it literally shook with what I can only call glee.
As the spike started growing, I used my shield and it took the damage,sending me flying away, to the plants weakest spot.
The monster finally understood what I did, it let out a shriek of Fear,I could feel it with my Predator skill.
"Become training material for me, big guy!" I yelled out and put all my power in my strike.
Cleanly cutting the badly damaged flower head off,
*aboooom*
It's body finally fell to the ground, and so did my body, large breaths releasing from my body this was probably one of the toughest battles I have had,
Constantly being on my toes as the monster didn't give me even a single moment of rest, going after me with everything it had, and the fact that it did give me several blows that will hurt like a bitch
[Ding! training successful, +2 strength, +1Endurance, +1Agility, ]
[Ding! Genius skill in effect, +1 to all stats, Danger sense level up, Predator level up, body becoming resistant to ice magic by a small percentage]
"Holy shit! I should have done this sooner"
I couldn't help but feel energized, a feeling of happiness arose in my body,I definitely had a chance, not to mention this is the first time I have gained some kind of resistance, no matter how small
"Now the only thing I have to check is if the genius skill effects my harvest every time I fight an evolved" I tool out my knife and started collecting valuable ingredient from the monsters body.
