Chapter 65: King Vs Queen
Aliyah was sitting on the table and was looking at all of the people who were sitting on the chairs surrounding her. Aliyah looked at Alice and said, "So, now that it is final. You can't back off now. Things will accelerate rapidly either way with your decisions from now on." Prince Jerachi looked at Alice and said, "She is not trustworthy. She is not ready. Kystion will crush her like a termite." Aliyah said, "Shut up, Jerachi. No one cares for your judgement here. Alice is going to fight Kystion whether she is ready or not. Vexana thinks Kystion is a problem that needs immediate response, so if you have any complaints tell her not me. I know what will happen and I have warned everyone enough already." Elgin looked at Vexana and said, "I trust Vexana. She is the ruler of the elf kingdom and her every decision is for the good of the kingdom. Kystion is a fool to not learn anything from the previous war and now he has provoked us by killing our innocent elf brothers and sisters.
Kystion is going to have his punishment and Alice will deliver it. He will die the same way Krymon died." Prince Jerachi said, "Kystion is no longer the old feeble man you saw at the doorstep of Krymon's royal chamber. He has strengthened himself with dark ogre magic and has also acquired the Purple Mace." Aliyah and Elgin asked, "What!!" Prince Jerachi said, "Yes, it is unfortunate but the truth. Kystion knew about the Purple Mace from a long time ago and defeating those lions was no big thing for a powerful warrior like him. In fact, he has tamed many of them and transformed them with his evil magic. As a matter of fact, those lions were destined to follow the bearer of the Purple Mace. If it is any better to know, Kystion is now ten times bigger and stronger than Krymon. We should agree with his marriage condition. That will be better for everyone, especially us who are currently on the weaker side." Alice said, "Never. I will never let Cindy or any girl marry that monster who killed thousands of innocent women and children for his selfish motives. If I even have just a very small chance to save Cindy, I'm ready to do that."
Elena said, "Don't be an idiot, Alice. Cindy's life is finished either way. Her father is now a fugitive and her coming here will only be problematic for her. She will have to beg on the streets for even a morsel of food. Let her stay there. It's better to eat a dead fish than throw it away." Trisha said, "How can you even think such nonsense, Elena? Cindy is our friend. Yes, she is bad and bullies us every time, but she is a human like us. She also has feelings and has dreams like us. She or anyone doesn't deserve to suffer such an insidious fate." Vexana said, "Trisha is right. Leaving Cindy there is immoral. Ogres can't be satisfied. One demand gets fulfilled, they will put another demand and then several demands will come. We cannot let that happen. We showed mercy on the ogres in the previous war and instead of showing gratitude to us, they have waged a war against us. Such imprudence can't be tolerated. Kystion and all his supporters have to be executed." Aliyah said, "Don't talk about what you don't mean. I wanted to kill all the ogres earlier, but my benevolent friends wanted to show pity and give those backstabbing bitches a second chance. There's no such thing as a second chance in war. Only justice and execution. Now, if we kill them, it will mean that our promises were worthless. It will be a stigma on our elf lineage."
Vexana said, "There will be no stigma on anything. We kept our promises and let them live happily in their kingdom, but now they have broken the vows, the promises and has brought wrath upon themselves." Aliyah said, "Do whatever you want. But, remember. We still have a bigger war to fight. So, don't come too much injured or dead." She disappeared in purple smoke.
All looked at Alice who was looking at all of them. Alice asked, "What happened?" Vexana said, "I have full faith in you. But, if you still want to quit. I will respect that too." Alice asked, "Why would I even quit?" Vexana said, "Nothing. Just forget whatever I just said. We need a strategy and we need it quickly. Jerachi will stay here and assist Aliyah in whatever she wants to be done. Alice and Elgin will come with me along with my new army commander, Lynx. Lynx is trained in five forms of fighting techniques and has fifteen years of experience in dealing and killing ogres. In fact, Kystion is personally searching for him, so that he can publicly execute him. So, he fled and joined my army. Other than him, there are two more people in our team. Master of ogre magic, Sayana and local guide and provisioner, Yakub Sultan." Alice asked, "Yakub Sultan? Is he a human?" Vexana said, "Correct. He is a fellow human being. His parents were smugglers who used to smuggle clothes and food to the places where there was famine or any natural calamities. But, one time they got a call from a place unknown to any human and yet they didn't hesitate and sailed towards the place.
There they faced a huge storm and their ship drowned. Yakub's father sacrificed his life to save Yakub's mother's life because she was pregnant at that time. But, fate had other plans, Yakub's mother died after giving birth to Yakub and Yakub stayed hungry and cold for two days and two nights. Yakub was about to die when Maester Goodwill saw him and adopted him. Yakub got his name from the talisman that her mother was wearing. Maybe, it was his father's name. Yakub grew up and traveled far places to research and gain experience. But, after Kystion killed Maester Goodwill, he is looking to seek revenge."
Elgin said, "We shouldn't waste any more time. The sooner we finish the job, the sooner we can meet Cindy." Alice said, "Definitely. Wasting time will be foolish. Evil guys like Kystion shouldn't be trusted to fight fairly." Vexana created a dark green ring and said, "This is a portal that will take us to the elf kingdom. Let's go." Alice, Elgin and Vexana bid everyone goodbye and went inside the ring. Alice asked, "Shouldn't we meet Aliyah one time before going?" Vexana said softly, "She is quite emotional. She may act as tough as rock, but deep down she is like jelly. Soft and fragile. Sometimes, I worry about her. The previous war was too much for her. She lost many important people in her life and the ones who managed to live are basically broken versions of their previous selves."
Elgin said, "Aliyah is a complicated puzzle. More like an onion. The deeper you look, the more tears will come out of your eyes." Alice asked, "Is she an ancestor of me?" Vexana said, "Maybe or maybe not. Infants and pregnant women were sent to the rescue tunnel in the beginning of the war. So, yeah. The possibility of someone from that age being your ancestor is guaranteed. But, if Aliyah is your ancestor. Oh dear, you are screwed." Alice asked, "Why?" Vexana smiled, "You will know your answer when you will face the Royal Court of Justice for the position of Blood Queen. If you are from Aliyah's lineage, then you will have to fight the invincible Groga." Alice asked, "Who is Groga?"
Elgin said, "He is a mystical person. Some say he is older than time and some say that he is a hermit who roams around the world searching for an able opponent. But, he is a very dangerous warrior and the only two people who fought him didn't survive to tell the tale. The Blood Queen is his end and it is destined that the one who has the purest of heart and the courage to become the Blood Queen will kill him. But, that is a thing of the distant future." Alice asked, "How many more "dangerous" opponents I still have to face except Xao Chang?" Both of them laughed. Vexana patted her head and said, "Challenges never cease. After Xao Chang, there will definitely be peace. But, only till someone else doesn't try to follow his footsteps." Alice asked, "So, evil will never end?" Vexana smiled, "I asked the same question to my teacher and he said that evil is like the night. Dark and full of unknown dangers. But, when the first ray of light falls on the ground, every darkness ceases. Night will come, but there will always be a shining day after it." Elgin smiled, "You are saying the same exact words Aliyah once said to me." Vexana smiled softly, "Aliyah is a wise woman. Of course, she would say these words." Alice asked, "So, what is the strategy?"
Vexana said, "Strategy is simple. We will sneak in Kystion's wedding and will then rescue Cindy and then we will annihilate all the ogres and kill Kystion." Alice asked, "So, the strategy is already completed?" Vexana smiled nervously, "Actually, there is still a little problem." Elgin asked, "What problem?" Vexana said, "Cindy. Actually, Cindy is pregnant." Alice and Elgin asked, "What?!!" Alice asked, "Is it Kystion's?" Vexana said, "Nah. She was already pregnant when she was kidnapped and I don't think Kystion will touch Cindy before marriage. He is old-fashioned and believes in old traditions." Alice asked, "Elgin??" Elgin said, "If she is pregnant, then rescuing her is even more important now. Somebody's future depends on it." Alice and Vexana looked at him angrily and Vexana asked, "How can you even do that?" Elgin smiled, "Don't blame me. I controlled myself and if I had not done that, calamity would have happened." Alice said, "Calamity is still going to happen. Aliyah, Trisha and Elena will never forgive you. And, Cindy. She is going to kill herself if she learns the truth about you and the babies in her belly." Elgin said, "Let's keep our fingers crossed." Alice looked at Vexana and sighed.
Kystion was walking on the top of the palace and was deep in grave thought. He looked at the ogres who were busy in their own daily activities. Kystion appointed Maester Marcus as his advisor after he showed loyalty to him. Maester Marcus is Maester Cornwall's cousin and after Maester Cornwall's death, he decided to stay in the palace as a sly for Kystion and he is the one who helped weaken the elf army and help Kystion take over the palace. Kystion looked at Maester Marcus and asked, "Why are those wretched idiots taking so much time to arrive? I want to kill them and avenge Krymon's death and restore the lost dread of the ogres." Maester Marcus said, "They won't come so easily. They are smart and definitely are plotting some plans." Kystion slapped him and said, "Stop praising them and tell what arrangements have you done for them." Maester Marcus said, "Every area of the kingdom is covered with ogres and we have the whole kingdom under control. The only problem is the zombies who tend to show no response to any orders and are just rotting flesh corpses."
Kystion said, "Zombies are still better than these greedy ogres. They don't eat, drink, pee and excrete and the best thing is that they don't kill female elves with their enormous penises. Anyway, what about the wild areas like forests and the places where those filthy outsiders reside?" Maester Marcus said, "Shinigano and Shuken people are currently in hiding and searching for them in their homes will be bad for us. We will lose many ogres unnecessarily." Kystion said, "No sacrifice is unnecessary in a war. We eat the winning feast and the vultures eat the rotting flesh of the losing side." Maester Marcus said, "But, we don't have vultures." Kystion laughed, "Look around, idiot. We have much more terrible organisms than vultures." Maester Marcus looked around and saw thousands of bats and mosquitoes the size of a horse."
Kystion smiled, "Krymon underestimated his enemies due to his narracistic nature and superiority complex. He died and rectified his mistakes. But, now I will throw everything on them and won't let them even take one breath of relief at all. I'm currently working on other dangerous creatures in my laboratory and will soon present even more dreaded animals. With the power of the Purple Mace and the power of pyrokinesis granted from the fire lions, I am invincible now." Maester Marcus asked, "What about Kappa?" Kystion laughed, "He never even emerged. Might be afraid of me. I may look old, but these bones have crushed many bones. I killed Aliyah's two uncles and even won many strongman tournaments." Maester Marcus said, "I hope I can see your glory in the upcoming war." Kystion laughed, "You will see. You will definitely see. I'm sending scavenger bats to hunt those miniature people. Inform me as soon as they are found. I have to punish them for aiding the elves in the previous war." He walked briskly down the stairs and soon disappeared.
Maester Marcus mumbled, "I cannot rely on this maniac. I will have to meet Kappa as soon as possible. He is the only one who can defeat Alice after she transforms into Blood Queen." He looked at the bats and mosquitoes and said, "Go and search for Shinigano and Shuken people. Kill anyone who resists and then bring the ones who agree to come." The bats and mosquitoes flew away and Maester Marcus walked downstairs, as the sun slowly set behind the horizon.....
