Chapter 71: Aftermath

Shera's POV

"What storms?" the vampire asked confused as I pointed into the distance. Ahead of us we could see mountains and trees flying in the distance as they rushed towards us. Little by little, the screams reached us starting to rattle the ground beneath us again. "What is that?"

"The feedback from her shriek. All the sounds you had heard for the past few minutes would be coming back to deal even worse damage than they had dealt before. We need to get to her in order to be safe."

We ran on the cracked earth racing against the speed of the destructive sound waves. We jumped into the woman's circle to meet her passed out over her son.

"What now?" she heaved in fear at the rushing force of destruction coming at us from all around. There was no place to run, we were surrounded.

Cleaning my ears while I sat on the ground with the giant demigod, I smiled at the vampire, "Now we wait."
