Chapter 3: He Is Still Same
"You guys didn't wait long, right?" asked Lucy to River and Mira who had been sitting at one of the tables in the café.

The café is not as big as other cafes, it is even in the suburban part of New York City and is near a flanking alley. But the small café always made the three of them comfortable. Since high school, they have often been there to calm their nerves that are tense because of the lessons that are so tormenting to them.
"This time you made progress. You are only ten minutes late." River looked at her watch, she smiled at Lucy.
River's blonde hair looked radiant when the sun hit the hair. He also has one dimple on his right, and wearing a black T-shirt that shows hia muscles, River looks so charming.
Indeed, River has often been a target for women, and the two women who became his friends: Mira and Lucy, knew River's weakness.
River has a fear of fish, and he has never eaten fish at all. For this reason, his two best friends often mocked River with the mockery of 'a river that has no fish'.
"You're so smart to mock me, River." Lucy sat down while tidying up her long brown hair. She smoothed out by using her long slender fingers.
"What was said by River is true. Usually you have been for at least thirty minutes." Mira split River, she sucked her red-colored drink very calmly.
"Alright. Yes, I like to be late. So, is there any new news?" Lucy looks smiling brightly, she talks to her two best friends who can make her calm down.
She just wanted to dispel the thoughts about Kyle that kept spinning in her mind.
"I am getting married, Justin finally proposed to me yesterday!" Mira shouted very excitedly. She showed the ring she hadn't worn since just now had been on her ring finger. Such a fluffy smile was so proud, making Lucy pull Mira's left hand to look at Mira's ring.
"Awesome! This must be a diamond!" Lucy instead commented on the sparkling logo interlaced in Mira's ring.
Mira nodded repeatedly and Lucy was happy to see her best friend so happy.
"I hope you are always happy, Mira." Lucy smiled when she said it, she was so happy when she saw her best friend happy.
"Of course!" Mira exclaimed so happily, she looked at the ring that was curled around her finger.
Then, Lucy looked towards River.
"And for you, River, I hope you don't always play tricks on women's hearts." Lucy shook her head after saying that.
They both knew very well that River is a Playboy, even within a month he could change women three times.
River grinned, his blue eyes looking at Lucy calmly and seemingly mocking.
"Stop telling me, Funny. You've never had a boyfriend yourself. Still don't want to date?" asked River to Lucy. Lucy put a smile on her face, and shook her head.
Dating? She didn't know, she felt that it was a burden.
They laughed so hard when taunting each other. They also ordered the food they were about to eat, occasionally they would drink their drinks and continue talking so excitedly.
The owner of forest's own café knows the three of them very well. He even made a place specially for the three of them to sit in. Seeing that the three of them are still in such a close and good relationship, the café owner feels happy. He also often gives food bonuses to the three of them.
"By the way, what about your brother? He is a successful and handsome man, has he introduced you to his future candidate wife?"
Mira asked Lucy, it made Lucy lose her concentration and took her to remember the sighing sound from Kyle. The sighing sound was so soft and as if Kyle was speaking right in her side ear, making Lucy unable to move and blush.
"Lucy?" Mira called out to Lucy as she watched Lucy fall silent as if she had lost her focus.
Mira's voice made Lucy come to her senses from her reverie.
"He and I don't talk to each other. You two also know how he has always avoided me since we were in high school."
Lucy looked at her two annoying companions slowly. They really knew what Kyle's attitude was to Lucy who didn't seem to regard Lucy as his sister. They were convinced that Kyle could not accept his father's marriage even though it was Lucy's mother.
Kyle is a senior the three of them, who have a 2-year age difference above them. Just like River, Kyle is a very popular man among women, even more popular than River.
"I think After he becomes an adult, he will shout at you to be his sister. it turns out that he is the same as he used to be." Mira spoke while stirring the cold drink that was in front of her. She looked so annoyed by the attitude from Kyle that was still the same as the last time they met.
[He's so different.. very.. which gives me goosebumps.]
Lucy spoke in her heart, she remembered Kyle's attitude was so different, her original attitude had opened up and Lucy couldn't say that to her two best friends.
It wasn't long before the door of the café opened, a man in a neat shirt and a beautiful sturdy body stepped his feet into the café, people watching him with a hunting look in his eyes and were so tempted at the newly entered figure.
The figure moved his head, looking for the whereabouts of the person he wanted to meet . After encountering the whereabouts of the person who was talking with his best friend, he stepped on his feet very quickly.
Now he has stopped directly behind the person he wants to meet.
"Gosh." Mira said in disbelief and looked in her direction.
River also looked in the direction Mira was looking at. Now, the figure sat next to Lucy with a bright face.
"Lucy, I didn't know you were here."
Kyle greeted Lucy while facing her in a very carefree voice, his face also smiled which made Mira and River couldn't believe that the figure in front of them was the cold Kyle.
