Chapter 3: Tilda

Cole stared at this girl more intently now as he realized she was actually pretty good looking, she was skinny and looked fit with red hair, she wasn't very tall she had brown eyes with a dash of hazel, her smile was beautiful and honest though she was missing two teeth she was more beautiful than any woman he had seen.

"thank you." she looked at him with slight curiosity and a little bit of fear.

to Cole her eyes seemed like gateways into another universe he could see right down into her very soul understanding that she was gentle inside.

"you are an idiot for helping!" she instantly changed her attitude after she noticed his stare.

"what are you trying to get huh, I'm not for sale!"

she was obviously angry by this and punched him hard.

even though he didn't really feel it he humored her

"ouch! what the hell was that for!" Cole wasn't hurt really but he figured she wouldn't feel comfortable around him if she didn't feel tougher.

"look I did what I thought was right. I just didn't realize you were soooo." he trailed off as she wasn't to keen on others commenting her looks, he could tell cause she stood with her hip out and tilted her head down with a fake angry look of annoyance.

"ok ok I'll stop I just was trying to explain." Cole retreated he didn't want to anger the woman he just met.

the girl sighed before extending her hand

"my name is Tilda, welcome to the Guildhouse we have plenty of jobs and anyone is welcome." she took Cole's hand and felt them

' damn his hands are soo rugged but soft how does that make sense?' she thought.

"Cole I'm just traveling around to understand how Balvain is faring I wish to understand how the common wealth is, like are the people happy with their lord all that boring stuff." Cole almost forgot he wasn't the emperor in this scenario so he made it seem as though he was on a job when he almost slipped up.

Tilda shook her head and started walking off

"this is Balvain honestly I hate it here this place is nothing like wethlin and the only reason I'm out here is because my family moved here." she seemed very annoyed as she kept walking but her hand beckoned for Cole to follow.

"presume you have nowhere to stay so you can live in the attic of our tavern till you decide to leave." she was very nice though she seemed guarded like she was playing the role of someone mean so as not to get close to Cole.

the next five minute Cole watched as many sights came and went, baby dragons in cages, preacher and cultist spreading the word of their gods all of them paled in comparison to the adventurer party that had a Phoenix corpse they where trying to sell for money.

after a while Tilda stopped in front of a tavern that read "street mom" on top the door as apparently that was the places name.

as they came forward two children came running out "Tilda you're in trouble! run for your life!" they screamed before a pleasantly plump lady came out and looked at Tilda.
