Chapter 4: Pinning Her Close To Him

That's how she knew that her best friend would take fifteen minutes to brush her teeth and shower, then another forty-five minutes to soak herself in a scented warm bath.

Indeed, after almost an hour, Eva came out of the bathroom. She had a bathrobe tied around her body and a towel was wrapped around her head.

"What do you think should I wear?" she asked Merry who was busing texting her boyfriend.

Merry put down her phone and moved to Eva's closet to help her choose her clothes. She rummaged through her wardrobe and found a fiery red dress with a metallic ring as a collar.

"You would look great in this and it fits the occasion." she handed the dress to Eva while looking for a bag and shoes to pair with it.

"You're very troublesome." Eva commented before looking for some undergarments to change.

She dried her hair and tied them in a ponytail to showcase her small face and kissable collarbone.

"Hurry up. This is our night alone." Merry winked at her while putting some facial cream on her face.

"Sure sure. Let me put my lipstick on. I might find someone to put a strain on a collar." Eva joked as well while drawing the red lipstick on her beautiful lips.

"Everyone would think you're a bitch and I'm the only one who knows you're not bitch, you are a virgin." Merry gave her a smug look while grabbing her bag and phone.

"Isn't that fun! Let's enjoy ourselves tonight!

Let's hit the bars and the club!" Eva punched her friend lightly before walking out of her room.

Eva and Merry had taken their dinner before going to different bars. Even though they hopped from one bar to the other, Merry and she just drank some juice or light beers.

We still have time so let's hit the floor, alright?" Merry tugged on her friend's hand and led her to the dance floor.

Merry moved her body to the beat and rhythm of the music. Her hands were up high and her head was shaking from side to side. Eva watched her dance while clapping her hands enthusiastically.

At that moment, she decided to grab a drink that could make her drunk at the last minute before going home.

She looked around to find a seat when a certain someone caught her attention. Eva smiled even brighter.

"My eyes found a target," she whispered to Merry which made the latter widen her eyes.

"Oh god, Eva! Don't do this! I was just kidding that I'd support you." Merry held on to her hand tightly but she only winked at her before going off.

"I'm serious with this matter. I'll see you in a bit." she walked her way to reach a certain corner despite some men trying to stop her.

John caught on a certain scent and he raised his head to see a pretty girl walking toward him.

"It's you." Eva greeted him first before taking a seat next to him.

John raised his brow slowly. "Is that the new pickup line that ladies learned recently?"

she laughed lightly before taking a sip of her drink. "What can I do? I like you when I first saw you. I practised this line as quickly as I can."

Her voice was sultry and John was having fun talking to her. He wasn't sure if she remembered him or if she was just hitting on him, nevertheless, he enjoyed being with her.

"Do you always go to places like this?" John asked while leaning his back on the couch. He put his right leg on top of his left as he made a slow swirl of his drink.

He looked so captivating that she couldn't seem to look away. She stared right into his eyes before answering, "Not fond of places like this. I can easily adapt to places though and my friend wanted to unwind tonight."

John looked at the woman who was dancing wildly on the dance floor. "She seems to have fun. I mean your friend." He was looking at Merry before returning his gaze back at her.

She gained more courage with the help of her drinks. 'Tonight is the night to graduate from being a virgin!' That's what she thought to herself.

"Don't you like this kind of place? We can find a different location." she moved even closer to him. Her scent drifted off to his nose making John even drunker. She smelled sexy, sweet and a trap. She's definitely a trap!

John clenched his hand into a fist to control himself. He turned his face away from her while listening to his friends' conversation.

When she approached him earlier, he had turned the device mute but kept it on to make sure he'd know what was going on.

"I am not interested to hook up with women from bars or clubs." His voice was dripping cold making her shiver in her place.

She stood up with her drink before responding to him in a low voice. "Too bad. I failed. Well, this is my first time taking initiative for someone." She hadn't taken even five steps yet when John pulled her back to sit on his lap.

"What did you say just now?" John held her hands pinning her close to him.

"It doesn't matter. Since you don't like me nothing's going to work." she tried getting off from his claps but he was just so strong.

John laughed lightly in the crook of her neck and shoulder. He leaned his head on her shoulder when he pulled her to him, breathing in her scent.

"Who said I don't like you? I said I'm not interested in women from bars and clubs. I didn't say I'm not interested in YOU." He gave emphasis to last the word which made her smile cheekily.

'I am best at finding my victim!' she was praising herself mentally with a smirk hanging on her lips. "What shall I do? I have changed my mind already."
