Chapter 61: Chapter 61 : No distractions

After Zeus had left, Demeter walked hurriedly to her sleeping chambers and closed the large wooden door behind her. She walked to her bed, and got down on her knees, pulling out a small black box from underneath the bed.

From within the box, the goddess pulled out a tiny crystal that contained a miniature pink rose bud within.

She sighed in relief when she saw that nothing had changed on the little bud, but her relief didn't last very long, because when she rotated the crystal, she noticed that one of the petals had opened up and turned blue.

"Oh no... Persephone..."

She placed the crystal back in the box and slid it back under the bed, before rushing to grab her phone.

"No call?" She mumbled worriedly.

Something had definitely changed, what was going on with Persephone, what was going on with Kore? It was Friday and she had not called yet, she had promised she would call every Friday so why hadn't she called yet?!
