Chapter 19: Chapter 19
After getting some sleep in the forest I woke up to the light of the sun. The shadow of the trees protected me from the rays of the sun
>> Good Morning <<
" Huh "
I rubbed my eyes and went back into my sleeping position on the green grass.
" Five more minutes "
>> Its 11 in the morning <<
I kept hearing the complaining of Veelzebub behind me but it didn't bug me, right now I'm relaxing and enjoying paradise
* Sniff Sniff *
I smelled smoke in the air and became wide awake.
" Do you smell that? "
>> Of course I can't.. I don't have a nose <<
I grabbed Veelzebub and ran through the forest at high speed and jumped into a branch. I leaped from branch to branch until I stopped on one of them near the road . Below us was a carriage that was on fire and surrounded by 10 bandits. Two were dead and there was two people in was alive but their running out of oxygen
>> What now master ? <<
" I would like to save those people.. But their human, l can't kill them "
>> Of course.. It would be like killing a chicken <<
" NOT THE SAME ! "
Somehow I feel like I've already killed them and because of that I am not afraid . Let's see what happens when I kill humans. I jumped out of the tree and landed on the top of the burning carriage.
" Who.. Who is she? "
" Capture her? "
I jumped and chop a bandit in two. Just as I predicted, I don't feel anything, A few weeks ago I was traumatized seeing a dead human but now it's natural, something has changed in me. I sliced two in half at the waist and continue to slaughter them all.
The sound as my scythe passed through their flesh, the sound as they screamed and took their last breath. All that sound didn't phase me, not even the blood that splashed on my hands and clothes.
After that I took out the two that were inside the carriage and touched their bodies. Using blood manipulation I was able to remove the toxicity in their blood and they woke up. One was a noble woman and the other was a male. judging by the same ring on their finger, they seem to be husband and wife.
" Are you alright ?" I ask.
" Who are you? " The woman asked.
" I'm just passing by when I saw you getting attacked "I explained.
They look around and see nobody, the husband asks where they all went and I lied and told them that they ran off. it would prove a problem if I tell them I slaughter a whole gang of bandit.
" We don't know how much to than you young lady "
The woman held my hand and smiled.
>> Master.. You need not get involved with these people <<
Veelzebub said.
I pulled away my hand from the woman's grasp and ran off. She called out to me and I ignored her, Veelzebub probably right. My guess is that they invite me to their house and then I'll have to get in the middle of the drama.

Moment later, a knight on horseback.
" Sir Morris and Lady Sophia.. Are you alright ? " Ask the leading rider. He got off the horse and ran up to them.
" We're fine, Vick . "Replied Morris.
He turned to his wife who kept looking at the woods.
" We were saved by someone but she took off " He added.
" Do you want us to find her? " Vick asked.
" No there is no use "
And so Morris and his life headed back to the city.

I sit in a tree and count the pool of blood floating before me.There were ten bandits and so it's ten pools of blood.
" Well divide it evenly "
I smear five of the bloods on the blade of my scythe which absorbed it. I could hear Veelzebub was happy, it's been over 300 years since he had human blood and it increases his strength to 32 %. I, on the other hand, am still hesitant.
I absorbed into my body and my eyes and the gem in the cross around my neck started glowing automatically. I can feel my energy increase a bit by bit.
Thanks to that I was a bit hungry before but now I feel full again. Being a vampire is different from being human.

" Your one gluttonous eater are you? "
>> I can't help it Master.. I've been starving for 300 years <<
" Spare me the sob story and let's go " I said as I jumped over of the tree and continue to walk on the dirt road towards the mountain

Mary bandages her blister covered hand and continue to continue her swordsmanship.It's been the second day of training and thing hasn't gotten easier.
" Your footing is all wrong "
Mary turned around to denziel voice.
" Oh.. Sir Denziel "
" I told you to drop the sir "
He walked up to her and drew his sword and stood beside her. Denziel instructed her to mimic his posture and she followed, She continued to practice her swordsmanship as he watched her and after seeing her hands he ask.
" Why are you working hard for someone who you only met recently? "
" She saved my life "
" Yeah..i already know that "
" Not the day at the cliff "
Denziel seems to be confused.
" She saved me from loneliness.. Ever since my mother died.. I've always felt that something was missing in my life, even after interacting with the villagers I still get alone but Roselina brought back happiness in my life... I want to help her.. Did you know all the times she's been with me I only saw her smile once? "
" Really "Mary smiled and reminisced about the past. This made Denziel come up with an odd question.
" Are you.. In love with her? " He asked.
" What... What are you saying? " Mary got flustered and remembered when the adult version of Roselina kissed her unexpectedly.
" We're.. We're Just friends that's all, there is nothing going on between us ,what makes you think that? " She asks with a blush while hiding her true feelings.
Denziel casually laughs it off.
" Okay.. Your strength is improving but I'll teach some sword techniques "Denziel said n
