Chapter 109: Sect leader Damien

Being a sect leader was fun. Since it was a small clan there weren't that many responsibilities not that I cared about them anyways. I had been a sect leader for a week and I had made several small changes.

It was quite simple. All merchants would have to grow stronger and all fighters would have to learn trading. Although I did not care a lot about the clan it would not hurt to make some changes.

"Run faster you retarded pigs." I shouted at all the merchants who were running laps around a field. They had lost several kilos and I had seen an increase in their stamina and perseverance but it was not enough. I wanted them stronger so that this small clan could gain recognition and once I try to curr the Canary club's young miss I would be seen as an honourable sect leader and not as an unknown stranger.

"If you put half as much energy into running as you did filling your bellies you would have already gotten past the simple body exercise."

I clicked my tongue and sat down on a wooden chair next to Thomas who was watching everything. Just like me he wore a white Hanfu dress however I would like to state that I pulled it of better. He had grown quite well for a 3 month old child. He was currently teething which surprised since he should start teething at 12 months old like normal elf kids. Normal human kids teeth at 6 months which made me wonder just what exactly he was.

Two negatives make a positive so that meant that two species with slow growths were the parents. One parent was an elf so it begged the question what was the father?

Tomorrow I was going to go to the Canary clan residence to see how the young miss was. I had been reading up on medicine for quite some time as I was not quite well versed in medicine as well I was versed in alchemy and poisons. It would not hurt learning about of medicine although I knew it would be of no help.

There had already been countless quacks, doctors, physicians and healers that had tried to cure the young lady of Canary clan and yet they all failed miserably.

At first I thought that their medicines and health advancement was similar to that of the 20th century but surprisingly, the standard of medicine in Murim was no different from the current modern world. In fact some medical practices were better than some in the modern world.

I was really nervous. For 4 months, ever since I had come to this world the times I was nervous could be counted on one hand and this was one of them. I was quite nervous that I would fail. I had been overthinking recently.

I was about to doze of in the chair when I heard a commotion coming from the gates. There was shouts which quickly turned to screams and the sound of asphalt and the ground breaking could be heard.

BOOM!

CRAAASH!

The wooden doors to the sect blew him and since I was sitting directly in front of it, it came flying at me. A force field formed in front of me and Thomas and the wooden door hit it however I was unharmed.

From the smoke walked out a man. He had a pretty average face and wore a dirty sleeveless shirt and baggy trousers. His body was well toned and I could see the proof of his manhood in the form of scars on his arms and ankles. His hair was long and black with several strands of white at the end tied into a ponytail.

The man glanced around and then finally made eye contact with me. He walked slowly holding a small bag on his back.

"So you are the new sect leader the gaurds spoke of? I've heard a bit about you." His voice was deep like that of a child going through puberty.

"Of course you would, my presence here as the sect leader is valued... by the way who are you?" I asked.

"Who am I? Who are you?" he turned the question on me.

"I asked you first."

"I asked you second."

I sighed. People nowadays have no manners what so ever. That's why they need to be taught a lesson.

I stood up from my chair and felt the tension in the air thicken like broth. "I am the Sect Leader of the Dark Purple Rain clan. Who are you to step out of line and speak to me with such disrespect?"

"A man whose home had been invaded. A challenger who wants to regain what he has lost. A warrior who has come back to his home to find an enemy inside. Draw your sword." He spoke confidently and fluently without any hindrance. He placed his hand on his sword and I smiled.

"You want to fight me? Can you not see the giant gap between you and I?"

He walked closer and stood in front of me until his forehead reached my nose. "I was going to ask you the same thing."

While maintaining eye contact I clapped my hands. A man came running and kneeled next to me. "Sect leader... You called?"

"Prepare a stage so that I may teach this child his place." This child that I spoke of was 2 years older than I was. He was called Muvolik. He was the younger brother of the previous sect leader and also the best fighter in the sect. Muvolik was more of a nickname given to him. It meant the Wolf that wandered.

I'm not even going to lie... but that was corny as fuck!
