Chapter 5: Jujutsu World
It was night.
Izaya's mother, Sawane, had arrived at home. When she found Izaya awake, sitting on his bed with somewhat empty eyes, she got worried and sad for some reasons that seemed incomprehensible to Izaya. Mothers are like that, he decided.
Izaya's father had also arrived from his work, being charming as ever.
Currently, they are having dinner in the dining hall.
Izaya was seated on a wooden chair at the dining table, where the delicious food was placed.
They were eating hot and steamed curry and rice.
Six-year old Izaya was eating the food on his own, with no help from his mother.
He had his own damn pride, after all.
As Ren and Sakane were chatting merrily between themselves, Izaya was slowly eating the rice mixed with curry with a calm and dispassionate look on his childish face.
He was thinking about what happened with himself when his mother wasn't home.
He always wondered if this world was the same as his previous one? When he observed the differences between this and the previous world, the answer to his question became apparent. The answer was NO, they were not the same.
After all, here every person had different eye colors and the people here in Japan didn't look japanese. Well, some did but most of them didn't. This crushed his hope that there would be his parents living in this world.
When he searched about his island in his dad's old computer, he couldn't find it.
This made perfectly sure that this and his previous world weren't the same and that his parents didn't exist here.
He prayed for them to be happy and handle his death in a healthy way in whichever world they existed in.
However, the thing that made this world and his previous world actually seem different was the existence of that grotesque creature that vanished when Izaya activated his 'technique'.
Izaya had new information: that he had a superpower, a technique that he only can use. This technique can only be activated when an energy born from negative emotions flows into it.
This all seems too similar to him.
And he related it to something from his previous life.
Anime….
Jujutsu Kaisen….
Cursed Spirit….- that monster..
Cursed Energy….- that energy..
Cursed Technique….- his superpower..
End of the Cursed Spirit….- that purple and pink flame..
All dots seemed to connect.
Izaya's mouth formed into a shape of O and an excited glint appeared in his eyes.
Izaya was reincarnated in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen.
'Hoo.. surely didn't see this coming.',
He thought, thrilled and excited.
His mother and father talked with each other. They all finished the dinner and washed their hands. Sakane and Ren went with their child to his room, to make sure he sleeps.
The fan was switched on.
Blanket was wrapped over Izaya.
And Izaya said to his father,
"..Father.."
"Hmm? What is it, Izaya..?"
Izaya pointed to the opened exit of the room and said, exasperatedly.
"Please put a door there.."
"Eh?"
"Huh?"
Dumb words escaped from Izaya's parents.
After some moments of Ren being in thought.
Without asking why from Izaya, he agreed,
"Well fine.. I was thinking about inserting a door there, anyway.."
Sakane was staring at Izaya, confusedly.
"Is there anything you need from me, mother?"
"Hmm?", Sakane smiled gently, confusion gone from her face.
"No, there is nothing.."
She kissed Izaya in his forehead,
"Have sweet dreams, dear.."
"Yeah, good night Izaya..", Ren added.
"Hmm, good night..", Izaya replied.
Heat reddened his cheeks. He still wasn't used to his mother's expression of her love.
Sakane giggled, noticing his slight embarrassment.
However, she was surprised when her husband took her hand, boldly and took her out of the room with a mischievous smile on his young face.
The sound of switching off lights in the dining room and the somewhat narrow corridor.
As Izaya noticed that, he instantly sat up.
The wind from the electronic fan continuously blew his hair.
Sleeping…?
Uh… As if!
Izaya was too excited to sleep!
There was no way he could sleep when he just got the knowledge that he is reincarnated in an actual fantasy world, moreover in his favourite anime, Jujutsu Kaisen!
There was no way he could forget the information of the cursed technique that got 'imprinted' on him today.
Just thinking about honing his control over cursed energy, the applications of his technique and growing strong made him thrilled and resonated goosebumps through his whole body.
There was one thing that Izaya wasn't aware of. That he was an actual genius in handling jujutsu. He was blessed with the ability to understand curses more than normal curse users are. He can use cursed energy more easily. He has the ability to understand and use curses more efficiently.
This resulted in him using his cursed technique to kill his first cursed spirit, 'subconsciously', when the fear of life and death was heavily imposed over his mind.

Technique: Transfiguration.
It can be used to change one object into another. It is possible to change animate objects into inanimate ones.
This technique focuses on the alteration of the form or appearance of an object, via the alteration of the object's molecular structure. It requires a very high level of control of cursed energy.
