Chapter 26: I Will Get That Sword PRIDE
The first thing I did after waking up was to put the Dragonstone Ring off. The ring was already turned purple. went to the closet and put on my suit, I brushed my hair until it was perfect. I walked to the desk and picked up the letter laying on it. I scanned a bit trough it, but most of the things we already discussed. 𝘏𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨.
We planned everything out. We planned on leaving by tomorrow. It had to be perfect or else we probably die. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘶𝘱 𝘔𝘰𝘮𝘰. Our plan was to steal the Family Sword, before it is gifted to the prince. Stealing the sword would be Momo's job. Everyone had to be distracted by the cooking contest, so that Momo could steal the sword. 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘦.
I walked to the door when suddenly someone knocked on it. 𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦... 𝘕𝘰... 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴! I walked to the kitchen to grab a knife and put it in my coat's inner pocket. I opened the door with with my hand near the pocket.
"Hello Reuben!" It was a girl taller than me. Her pink hair and soft face immediately came to mind. It was the girl who worked at the hospital named Katelyn.
"Katelyn...? What are you doing here?" I heard Asmo and Levi talking a lot about her. 𝘚𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘹 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.
"Whoa I recognize you! You are the one for the magic test. Doctor Moisturizer told me you could use all of them, Impressive." 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘴?! 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘧 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦. 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮. She bowed to me and asked, "do you have plans today." 𝘋𝘪𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺.
"Yes." I stepped outside and locked the door behind me. I walked straight through her to the entrance. 𝘓𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭.
However Katelyn pulled me by my coat. "Hold on, hold on. I took a day of to spend time with you. It felt bad to lie to Moisturizer, but a girlfriend has to spend time with his boyfriend right?"
"Boyfriend?! You do not look to bad, but I am very picky. Sorry, won't do!" I turned around and tried to walk, but she still had not let my coat go. "Please do not touch that. It was very expensive."
"I understand you want some alone time, because of your father, but I can help you."
"First of all, he was not my father. Second of all, I did not care about him. Not even a little bit."
"Oh..." She had not expected that reply.
"I am leaving now."
"I will go with you!"
"No you will not!" The girl started to annoy me.
"Why not?" She was making a plead face, but it did not effect me.
"Do not try to get closer to me. I will leave this village tomorrow."
That sentence had quite a shock on Katelyn's face. "You... leave...?"
"Yes, can I go now?" 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘺𝘦𝘴.
"Like your brother would agree with that." 𝘚𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘶𝘩? 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘳.
"We already discussed it."
"Discu... How?"
"None of your buisness."
"Oh come on!" she pleaded more.
"No!!" I said it with with a hard and direct voice what again shocked her.
"I will go with you guys!"
"You what?!" 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵?
"I will go with you guys," she repeated.
"Oh no no no. You will not. Besides you have a job and house here." Well so I thought at least.
"A house? No I still live at my dad's place and I hate him. I always wished someon would kidnap me away from that man. And I have a job, but it is not the job I was striking for. I want to become a doctor myself. It feels bed to leave the doctor and the village alone with no light magician, but I choose my own path right?" Katelyn took a deep breath, "Reuben... do you want to be my kidnapper?"
I did not know what to think of that last sentence. It was weird that was certain. "Well... eh... That does not mean I will let you join me."
"Pleaseeeee. I can teach you more light magic. Light users are hard to find you know?" 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥.
"Than show me what you got."
"Well... hehe..." You could imagine the big sweat droplet on her face with that voice. "You can only use light magic by doing something good, you know...?"
"𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯..."
It was silent for a moment. 𝘞𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭? 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘸𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵. 𝘐𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘥𝘰 𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘴𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭. "Fine... but one mistsep and you are out."
"Really!! I do everything you want me to do! Thank you, thank you!!" She was really hyped about it. 𝘠𝘦𝘱... 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘰 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘪𝘵.
"Okay I will tell you the plan."
Katelyn instantly had a curious face. I told her about stealing the sword and opening the air gate. "I see... but you realize the sword will be guarded right?"
"Yeah... we probably have to kill them."
"Are you crazy?!" she said with a shocked face. "There is a death penalty on that. Even if you got away out of this village, they will spread your face all over Vloricus."
"Like they would not if I steal that treasures sword."
"I suppose so... Why do you want that sword anyway?"
𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘵𝘩. "That sword is worth a lot. But it will not be for selling. It is also the strongest sword I would ever be able to touch in this world."

"Yes of course. Sorry Reuben." 𝘐 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘥. "Well... if we want to get that sword we need to be unseen by the knights."

"Reall?! I want to!"
𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘴 𝘮𝘦. 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘮𝘦. "Can you make a light sphere."
"Huh? I told you..."
I cut her off with, "it would really help me."
"It will help you?! Okay then..." She tried her best to make a light sphere.
While she tried I focused on opening my air gate. It was way more easier than the first gates I opened. A bit of air came trough my hand. 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘰.
"I did it!" she said.
"Okay hold it!" I used my air and made an air sphere around the light sphere. I moved the air sphere with the light sphere in it and I could feel Katelyn lost it. I moved it a bit and than, "𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘩." At the moment I let go of the air the light sphere released its light, because nothing supported it anymore.
"Whoa!! You are so smart!"
"Like this you and Momo can blind the knights and knock them out with earth magic." 𝘒𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺𝘯 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘵. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺.
"Eh... who is Momo?" 𝘖𝘩 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵...
"Momo is my brother. He is the one in yellow and awakes on tuesdays."
"So he is not Reuben?" Katelyn asked.
"He is Reuben. You better call all of us by Reuben in front of others, we can not give ourselves away." I was very clear about it, our identities could hinder us.
"Understood, but what is your name than?" 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘥𝘮𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘦.
"My name is Lucian."
"Whoa! That name is so cool!" she did not look like she was acting. She really was impressed.
"I know, I know." I waved my hand to make it seem like it was nothing. "Anyway... You have to train on that light of yours, because we need to be able to blind them." The light was to soft to blind anyone.
"Yes Lucian! You can count on me!" she said full of confidence.
"You have to train and make it work before tomorrow. Remember that you will really help me by this."
"Yes I will help you. Will Momo trust me?" 𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳.
"I will leave a note about the whole plan. Do not worry about it. Meet Momo at the same house."
"I will!"
So now the plan was settled. It had to work. It was now up to Momo to do it. "Good luck Momo."

Official_Narwal The big plan is getting closer and closer. Too everyone reading this live. I made a mistake in the chapter named 'The Plan.' Martin should not be able to fly so easily, because the magic should not effect him. I changed a little about that part and tried to fix it as much as possible without changing to much. It still isn't that logic, but I hope you guys read through it. My apologies. Anyway... Reuben and Azrael both have there eyes on the sword now. Will Katelyn and Momo be able to do it?
