Chapter 5: Chapter 5: School (Revised)

Just like the world itself, time never stands still.

Before anyone knew it, an entire year had flown by quickly.

The majority of her time was spent training her powers, with the majority of her time being on learning the intricacies of scanning other people's minds with her telepathy, mastering her astral projection, and learning how to control the senses of the people.

While the last ability may not seem that strong on its own, as simply taking someone's taste or their sense of smell may not seem like much, the monstrous things that this ability could do if fully mastered were fully evident in multiple Manga in her past life, especially a certain Shinigami.

Due to her mental abilities not consuming stamina, but instead consuming psionic energy, she could train the vast majority of these abilities for long periods of time, and whenever her psionic energy ran out, she would have a bit more after it replenished.

And her training over the past year paid off immensely, as her fine control over her telepathy allowed her to freely read the minds of others and detect the emotions that they were feeling. She could connect her mind to others to speak to them or she even enter into their mindscapes.

Her Astral Projection grew to a level that allowed her to freely have her Astral Body outside while her physical body remained in an auto-pilot-type state. It could also be maintained for longer periods of time, allowing her to use it for things like espionage.

But the ability to manipulate the 5 senses was one that was a lot more difficult than she expected it to be.

It was not as simple as just forcing it to happen, but she had to envelop the individual she wished to manipulate with her psionic energy and then directly manipulate it in the a way to control their senses, and she wasn't nearly proficient enough for her to do it at a quick rate.

Add on to the fact that when she once manipulated Kyoka's sense of sight to not see her, it was reported to Winston.

And that crazy, delusional, tsundere, father decided to summon forth the full might of the city's police force to locate her, leading to her being forced to come up with an excuse about simply hiding and thinking it was a game.

Though, on the bright side, Winston had begun to open up to her far more after the incident, perhaps realizing it when he though he had lost her.

Therefore, after all of this, she decided to place the ability on the back burner as she wanted to tackle the ability she was most eager to learn: Telekinesis.

The power was one that many seemed to overlook, though she truly could understand why.

It seems that the Hero Public Safety Commission had possessed the foresight to minimize the proficiency of quirks like telekinesis, seeing them as perhaps a probable threat if someone were to maximize their training of it too far.

She could only assume that it was the reason why no major heroes possessed the power, even with the sheer amount of versatility that the ability had.

She had begun performing meditation in hopes of unlocking the ability, though it seemed as if she had some sort of self-imposed mental block on it, as if there were an issue with herself.

She simply decided to wait a bit longer on the ability, until she could finally understand where the issue stemmed from.

All of these separate abilities made her quite the dangerous individual if she were to judge for herself, though she was only five years old.

But, it was due to that age that she would be forced to engage in the toughest challenge she faced in her prior life: School

Emma sat at the kitchen table and enjoyed her breakfast, with no one batting an eye at her monstrous appetite, as they had grown used to such a custom.

But, Winston seemed to be in an especially foul mood, something that Bernard was able to easily take notice of as he decided to ask his master.

"May I inquire on your displeasure, sir? Is there an issue with the food?"

"No. I have a meeting at the office that I am not looking forward to. It has nothing to do with anything here." Winston said, though his thoughts betrayed his words.

'You bastard!! It was your idea to send her to a private school instead of homeschooling her. Now I can't see my beautiful daughter whenever I want!'

Emma simply smiled at her father's thoughts, after which she finished her breakfast and headed towards the car.

Winston and Bernard joined her soon after, with them heading towards Emma's new school.

The School was one that expanded from Pre-School, all the way up to Middle School.

The car finally arrived at the school, with Emma getting out of the car while hearing the goodbyes of her father and Bernard.

"I hope you have a blessed first day of school, Young Miss." Bernard said.

The man had become something similar to a grandfather to Emma, especially since she learned that he had practically raised Winston due to his parent being nonexistent in his childhood.

Emma followed it up by giving them both a hug, with her telling them both she loved them and leaving for the school.

"I'll be picking you up from school to take you to your father's workplace." Winston yelled from a distance while Emma entered the building.

Emma was directed to her classroom door and knocked on it, causing the teacher to open it with a smile, as the older lady signalled her to enter.

The woman brought her to the forefront of the classroom, with all the children staring at Emma with wonder.

"Alright class, today we have a new student. Be kind and respectful to her while she introduces herself."

"Hello, my name is Emma Frost. It's nice to meet all of you."

The teacher then told Emma to take a seat near the back of the class, seeing as it was one of the free seats available.

As Emma sat down, she looked to her right to see a black haired little girl staring intently at her, making her take a step back, slightly creeped out.

The girl seemed to notice her feelings as she gained an apologetic look and introduced herself.

"Hi, I'm Momo. It's nice to meet you."
