Chapter 8: Chapter 5: Yutarou vs Akira: Showdown
It was lunch time when Akira approached Yutarou and Keijirou.
"You." Yutarou noticed the boy with black hair darker than tar and red eyes like the color of blood.
He gulped at the genius yandere's voice. He expected his confrontation, but not as soon as this.
Akira was slender and tall, if Yutarou was around 175 cm, then he would at least, five centimeters taller than him. He was and just a little muscular. Mr. Genius prefer to study and workout. He also found going to gym as a hindrance for he has no intention fighting. It was illogical to do so.
The rimless prescription glasses his wearing was worth over 10,000 yen, was the first ever birthday gift he received from his parents. He treasured them a lot.
"Yes?" Yutarou blocked Akira's vision of Keijirou so he wouldn't be able to see him. It would be a pain if he does and falls in love with him.
Akira looked around for a while, and once he made sure that no one was around, he spoke, "who are you?"
"I'm Yamaguchi Yutarou." Yutarou responded.
Akira clicked his tongue. He didn't know if this guy Yamaguchi Yutarou was being dumb or sarcastic.
"That's not what I meant. I could careless about your name. What I meant was your identity. Why are you this good at English? I have never seen you around before, which means that you were nothing extraordinary or you were trying to be invisible, that is, until earlier. Is my deduction correct?" Yutarou would never be able to get over the fact that Akira was this smart.
How did this guy deduct something like this without even knowing him? Yutarou will never be able to find out.
Even when he was playing a game, he got bewitched by Akira's out of the world intelligence.
'Of course you wouldn't have known a former NPC like me.' Yutarou thought but he won't be able to say that.
"Well, I've recently moved in the A class." Yutarou answered. He didn't even know anything about Yutarou or where he came from. How could he explain this unnatural phenomenon?
Yutarou was hoping that Akira wouldn't bother to do a background check on him.
"Then, why are you good at English?" Akira inquired. Was he this jealous of him? Did he really got so insecure just because the teacher praised another student that was not him?
Yutarou was bothered at the fact that Akira kept on saying 'good'.
"Well, I've trained to be good at it in the hopes of going abroad." Yutarou stated.
"I see. Good luck with that." Akira snorted and left. Yutarou scowled after.
Well, that wasn't an entire, but he also couldn't careless if it was. He just needed to survive this game and find a way to escape it, somehow.
"What was that about?" Keijirou asked, latching to Yutarou's arm.
"I don't know. It seems like Mr. Know—It—All have his eyes on me. You better watch out too, Takahashi—kun." Yutarou told him.
"Well, if Yamaguchi—kun says so, then, I will." Keijirou nodded.
"Great!" Yutarou smiled. "Shall we eat?" He inquired.
"Sure."
"Mhm. It's really delicious." Keijirou said, savoring the taste.
"Yep, the food you cooked, yourself, is delicious." Yutarou complimented Keijirou which made him blush.
"Thanks, it's my first try."
"It's great for a first try."

"Hehe, thanks." Keijirou's smile was really angelic. Yutarou knew that. No wonder the male leads fell in love with the MC.
Yutarou started to eat. Although, there was one thing he kept on repeating on his mind.
He really hoped that the genius yandere won't be coming for his throat soon. If that happened, protecting the MC would be all for nothing. If he dies, all his hard work will be ruined and there won't be any guarantee that the male leads won't hurt the MC once he dies.
"Are you okay, Yamaguchi—kun?" Keijirou waved his hand across Yutarou's face which took him back to reality. "You're spacing out again." He added in a worried tone.
"Huh, yes. I was just taken aback by how good of a cook you are." Yutarou lied.
Keijirou smiled. "I'm glad you like it."
Keijirou saw Akira was waiting on the door. He advised Keijirou to get ahead of him. It wouldn't be good if Akira recognized Keijirou. It's better if Yutarou was the one gets confronted by the male leads.
"You." Akira called out to the teal haired.
"What do you want?" Yutarou asked Akira, who was leaning on the door.
"Obnoxious." Akira said in English.
"What?" Yutarou retorted back in the same language.
'He did not just call me unpleasant.'
"Give me it's definition." He clarified.
"Very unpleasant." The teal haired answered.
"Hmm." The genius yandere wasn't impressed. "Spell 'onomatopoeia'"
"O—n—o—m—a—t—o—p—o—e—i—a. Onomatopoeia." Yutarou stated with ease. "Are we okay now?" Yutarou asked, walking out of the room.
There were whispers everywhere, like "what are they talking about?", "Are they speaking English?" Or, "I don't understand."
"We're not done until I say so." Akira reached for the door frame, blocking Yutarou's path. "Next, what are the continents in the world? In order, by size. Largest to smallest." Akira questioned him again.
'How did the English quiz became a General Knowledge one?'
"Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia." Yutarou responded without even blinking.
"Give me five countries found in Africa." Akira interrogated.
"Egypt, Tanzania, Libya, Madagascar, and Somalia." Yutarou could see Akira's expression wavering.
"Last question, what is love?" Yutarou furrowed his eyebrows at the vague question.
"Well, love is gentle and kind. Love does not envy nor—" Akira cut Yutarou with his own answer.
"Wrong. Love does NOT exist. It's only a series of chemical reaction inside the brain, and those who believe in it are the benighted* and asinine*." The yandere genius pointed out.
"You're the one who's wrong, Sato—kun." Yutarou said, his eyes piercing through the other.
"And, why is that?" Akira asked, raising am eyebrow.
"Love is subjective. Just because people knows how to love doesn't mean that you can call them foolish. I think you're the moron here. Smart people don't force their ideas onto others, instead, they're more than happy to take in knowledge from another. Now, if you'll excuse me." Yutarou left, satisfied with his answer. Even though the students didn't understand most of Yutarou's answer due to it being in English, they knew exactly who won in the showdown.
Akira frowned, which then, turned into a smirk. 'Finally, a worthy opponent.'
Akira has never found a person who could ever beat him or at least, be at his level.
But, now, he has found him.

Yutarou clicked on the pop up to see what was it about.
It displayed Akira's tiny character profile that only showed his name.

Below it were some things that Yutarou found ridiculous.

He regretted it. He could've lived without knowing anything he just read.
'A worthy what now?'
Yutarou clicked his tongue, swiping through the screens.
He didn't want this. Yutarou regretted expressing his opinions earlier. He shouldn't have done that, now one of the yanderes had his eyes on him.
"Yamaguchi—kun, are you okay?" Keijirou tapped on Yutarou's shoulder.
"Huh?!" Yutarou exclaimed, flinching.
"You've been doing this since yesterday." Keijirou imitated the way he clicked and swiped in the air. Yutarou didn't believe it, Keijirou was giving him the benefit of the doubt.
"I thought you were just killing a bug, but then again, there were no insects. So, I had new theories, you're either calculating something or you're drawing in the air. Yeah?" Keijirou asked with an innocent smile on his face. He was questioning Yutarou out of pure curiosity and nothing else, hopefully.
"Uh—huh. Something like that. I'm trying to improve my penmanship." Yutarou gave out a plausible excuse.
"Ooh. Me too, we should try different types of calligraphy later on. We don't have that much homework." Keijirou was in awe and wanted to try it out, as well.
