Chapter 12: Mobilisation
Austronesian Empire, Tanah Melayu, Melaka, A Military Base In Melaka.
2000, 1, 1st Week, January.
Alarms were blaring throughout the military base as columns of soldiers were marching throughout the military base. With many parts of the Austronesian Empire falling into the monster's hands, thankfully, all the evacuation centers were safely guarded and were still in the military's hands.
However, different paths towards different military bases were cut off by the monsters, and so the military have to establish a frontline and extend it from there, recovering lands time from to time.
The Austronesian's Liberation Army shall faithfully fight for the motherland through blood and sweat even if sacrifices are to be made.
Meanwhile, the Imperial Governor General was making rapid movements throughout his office. His name was Awang Budiharto Ghazaar. Ghazaar was sweating profusely as he thought up of a solution to his problem.
'Supplies are being depleted throughout Tanah Melayu. I must find a way to reconnect the military bases throughout Melaka first. Then from there we will form a front line so that we could slowly but surely liberate the lands of the Tanah Melayu. The emperor is currently busy commanding each frontline that was recently formed. I can't have time to push my people back. If we are to stay in this union, then I must first prove the competence of the Malay people. After all, only through this union can we prosper united as one with the entire Austronesian people. I sincerely believe that, as we Austronesians and being part of the Malay people, should be united as the people of Xinhua were united. Only through this unity can we overcome the difference in society,' Ghazaar thought to himself.
Ghazaar stirred up his emotions and focused his mind on one thing, and that is to liberate the land of his people from the monsters that invaded them. He couldn't explain why such monsters appeared on their homeland and to the entire Austronesia, however that doesn't extinguish the fire in his heart, instead in became even brighter and fiercer as the bells of duty were ringing throughout Austronesia, and that only means one thing and that is a call to duty. A duty to protect the motherland, to protect the empire.
After resolving his mind, he then walked towards the communication devices and uttered.
"My people! Now is the time to show our worth as citizens of Austronesia and as being part of the Austronesian race and of Malay ethnicity! This is a call to duty, a duty for our beloved people and a duty towards our nation! Let us march towards a brighter future for Austronesia! All hail the people's empire!" said Ghazaar.
"Hail the people's empire!" The soldiers said in unison.
"Move out!" Ghazaar said.
Lights all over outside of the military base were suddenly lit as the military door opened and with it columns of amphibious vehicles moved out of the military bases, and is heading in each different direction. The mobilisation of the army has started and soon all of Austronesia, and Tanah Melayu, will be liberated.
Panning back to the soldiers.
"Driver! Can you drive faster?" A woman said.
"This is as fast as I can go. If we go any faster, then I am afraid we might hit something along the way, moreover we can't move faster as there are more vehicles in front of us," a man replied.
"Affirmative driver, meanwhile I will man the tank gun. Loader! Are you locked and load?" the woman said.
"Affirmative, Ma'am, I am lock and load." A man said.
"Copy that!" the woman said
The woman who was asking around was now on the main armament of the amphibious tank and that is the tank gun. From time to time, she would open the hatch and lookout in order to spot some enemies. To no avail, she didn't spot any.
The long convoys of amphibious vehicles was suddenly stopped and was followed by a thunderous explosion at the front.
"Enemy contact! They got Abdul's amphibious tank!" the driver said.
Upon hearing that they've been attacked, the woman's sweat became cold and was even more sweating profusely and so she opened the hatch and looked outside to find the cause of the destruction.
Meanwhile, the driver of the amphibious tank reversed the tank to be able to manoeuvre around on what's now a battlefield.
Upon seeing the culprit in the destruction before them, the woman was utterly horrified by what she saw. A humongous creature with abnormally large wings that has scales all over it's body. She almost screamed to the top of her lungs, fortunately she was able to cover her mouth while looking at the breathtaking scene before her.
When she regained her composure,, the battle was already starting as the multiple amphibious tanks were now manoeuvring throughout the streets in order to fire a shot towards the creature. Upon remembering her job, she immediately closed the hatch and went inside the tank and so she rotated the tank gun towards the creature.
With her sights on towards the creature, she nervously holds the trigger to fire. However, strikes of electric shook her body and so could not press the trigger. Fortunately, for her when she regained her composure, the creature was about to open it's mouth.
Judging from it's appearance, it's scales must be tough and so shooting through it's mouth is a perfect opportunity and so she pushed the trigger and with it a deafening sound reverberated throughout the surroundings.
It hit the creature towards the sides of it's mouth and the shell exploded inside it, to which it destroyed half of it's face. Unfortunately, the creature or monster was still alive and well, and so the other amphibious tanks responded as well, and fired a barrage of shots towards the creature to which it was obliterated.
With the death of the creature, the battle has ended, unfortunately with sacrifices. They lost a valuable military piece and precious lives of the motherland.
Justice will be served, and lands will be liberated!
