Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Gamamaru
Catherine looked towards a large chair that sat in the middle of the temple, however, instead of a large figure like Katsuyu or the Black Snake Sage, a small orange toad could be seen sitting in the middle of the chair.
"Did you have to scream so loudly, Gami? What if you burst my eardrums out?" Gamamaru asked.
"Bastard you're supposed to be acting like a Sage, not sleeping your life away!" said Gamakan.
"Not you too Gamakan. I already have enough to deal with by just having Gami." Gamamaru said.
"What's that supposed to mean!!" Gami said while punching Gamamaru over the head.
Catherine simply watched this in amusement, however, she was snapped back into reality by her feeling Moryo's presence again.
She cleared her throat to gain the three toads' attention before she said "As much as I enjoy a lighthearted conversation between friends, I'm afraid we have much more important things to get to."
Gamamaru seemed confused about the situation, but seeing his friends grow serious he sat back down on his chair and asked "May I ask who you are, and what sort of important things do we need to talk about?"
"Apologies, you can call me Yao. And I'm here because the fate of the entire world is about to be at stake. An interdimensional demon known as Moryo is currently on his way to our planet. He is also coming with a powerful army that he will attempt to use to conquer our world. I've talked to both Katsuyu and the Black Snake Sage, and they both came to an agreement: Ryuchi Cave, Shikkotsu Forest, and Mount Myoboku should put aside their differences to deal with this major threat. I've come to ask will the toads aid us in this battle?" Catherine said with a serious face.
All three toads seemed to be taken aback by her statement, with them understanding the implications of her words. Not only would they be allying with their sworn enemies of the past, but also doing it to face a major threat to the Shinobi World.
Gamamaru thought it over for a second, before replying by saying "You said that this threat is one that will endanger our entire world? Well, I refuse to allow our world to become the property of any dimensional demons while I'm still the Toad Sage, and I will do whatever is necessary to protect the Toads. And while I haven't been in this position long, I know that it's major for the Slugs and the Snakes to set aside their hatred for one another, let alone us. So since they have agreed to it, then we at Mount Myoboku shall do the same."
Catherine smiled at this and quickly spoke to Gamamaru "Then I will pick you up tomorrow evening to meet with Katsuyu and the Black Snake Sage to discuss our strategy. Thank you all for seeing me, and I hope we meet again."
She then turned towards Gami and Gamakan and said "Thank you both for helping me meet with the Great Toad Sage. Next time I come to visit, I'll make sure to see you both first."
Catherine then walked out of the temple, but instead of using a flight spell, she instead swirled her hands in a circular movement.
To the shocked faces of Gami, Gamakan, and Gamamaru, a portal opened that had orange sparks around it.
"Be ready tomorrow evening, since we don't have time to waste." Catherine said before heading into the portal to go back to Ryuchi Cave.
"What. The. ****. Was. That!!" Gamamaru said.
