Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Understanding Time
Catherine had traveled many dimensions and learned vast amounts of the knowledge left by Agamotto, with her knowledge of the Mystic Arts being extremely vast in nature.
However, even with all of her accomplishments, the thing that she progressed the slowest in was her knowledge of the Time Stone.
While the abilities she could do with it grew as she gained abilities like seeing possible futures and rewinding or fast-forwarding time, her true control over time had barely increased over the years.
The place where Catherine opened her portal was a place where time didn't exist. In this dimension, time had completely disappeared. She had heard of it during a demon extermination that attempted to invade her world and wipe out any life on their planet.
From what the demons said, some people die within seconds of being there while others could become practically immortal.
The way she planned on comprehending the essence of time, was to create time in a dimension that it didn't originally exist.
Catherine stepped foot into the land and was no longer able to tell seconds from minutes.
Catherine began to create runes that floated in the air as the Time Stone shined brightly in the darkness.
She then saw a scene that was so shocking that she forgot to breathe.
She fell into her astral form before she began to witness the dimension give birth to a small amount of dust.
She saw the dust begin to flow into a large number of clusters before it began to give birth to light as a sun was formed.
She saw the other dust particles flow together as they created large amounts of rock before they ultimately created planets.
The planets began to circle the newly formed sun as life began to emerge onto the new worlds.
The worlds eventually grew until the point they were destroyed by the sun as it turned into a black hole.
The hole sucked in everything including Catherine, however, she then found herself back inside her body.
"Time is both infinite and finite. It can either be a slow stream that is continuous or it can pass in a flash, with time being definitive. It is not simply an aspect of the universe like I thought from Marvel, but Time is a rule that very few can violate. Even the Universe is simply a child at Time's mercy. It controls fate and destiny as if they were strings. And once you learn that you can't control time to do as you wish, but instead guide it, it becomes malleable."
Catherine felt the dimension around her change as the very essence of Time itself inside of it became stable and linear.
Catherine returned to Kamar Taj inside her room as she simply waved her hand.
At that moment, Time was frozen throughout the entire world.
She moved around for a minute and noticed no strain on her that showed that time needed to be returned to normal.
'It seems my control and mastery over time has increased to an unnatural proportion. Now I can even change fate to a certain extent, as long as I don't change things too much.'
She then waved her hand again while the Time Stone flashed as Time resumed.

In a temple, a monk looked around as he felt as if something had occurred, though he shook it off and continued with his task as if nothing happened.

A white-haired woman felt as if something had occurred and immediately looked around while on guard, though she let down her guard after seeing nothing.
'Was it the Clan? Did they realize I'm here? No, they would have already killed me if that was the case. Perhaps it was just my imagination.' the woman thought to herself though she stayed on guard.

'It seems that both Kaguya and Isshiki are here already. I can't touch either of them yet otherwise fate might make drastic changes. I'll get involved when Hamura and Hagoromo battle Kaguya.' Catherine thought.
She then declared that Kamar Taj will not get involved with the outside world for the next 20 years, and although there were some complaints, they obliged.
Catherine then began to prepare for her inevitable battle against Kaguya.
