Chapter 54: His feverish Kisses

Charlotte was so nervous that she almost forgot to breathe. She kept her lips sealed while her heart was thundering against her chest.

Édouard pulled away for a brief moment and stroked her cheek when she opened her eyes. She finally breathed but her eyes were blinking.

She could see many questions in Édouard's eyes. That gaze bothered him and at the same time, she wondered why he wasn't kissing her.

When her inner voice told her that she didn't kiss him back, she realized the reason why Édouard looked confusedly yet lovingly at her.

She brought her hand to his shoulder and leaned close to him to kiss his lips. It was the biggest shock that Édouard could ever get. Charlotte kissed him back, a little late, but she did.

Their eyes peered at each other, flooding with numerous emotions. Édouard didn't stop himself anymore.
