Chapter 2: A Sudden Poison
Shocked and in complete despair. Ivy couldn't help but shed a tear as she arrived in the kingdom of Enarol. The screams of anguish and the cries of help echo throughout the entire kingdom. There she finds the knight Jian Dale impaled by a spear and on the brink of death. Ivy quickly rushes toward him to help, but his life can no longer be saved. Jian saw the princess and gave a relieved expression. Ivy anxiously asks him what happened. With a rusty voice, Jian told her that the archmage Beatrice had been poisoned by her apprentice Ralph, thus weakening the barrier that protected the kingdom. The witch of calamity Jed, along with her commander, The witch of shadows, Samantha, and their barbaric army have invaded the kingdom. After Jian told Ivy everything he knew, he started rapidly losing consciousness, finally breathing his last breath, his last words being "Venice..."
Ivy, full of sorrow, grabbed Jian's sword and charged toward the battlefield. She slays the intruders so violently and brutally out of sheer anger and misery that it drives her to push herself to her utmost limit. Ivy kept fighting until she reached the army's core, where she met the leader of the undead ghosts – a high-ranked lieutenant of Jed's army – Lorin licking his sharp bloody claws as if she had just finished a meal. The realization slowly crept in as Ivy saw the body of a child whom she recognized. That child was Staizzy, Ivy's little sister whose body is now as cold and skin as white as snow. Ivy lunged forward, screaming at the witch so vehemently as loud as she could, only for the witch to easily deflect her sword and pierce her left arm. Ivy moans in agony and pain before distancing herself from the witch. Ivy then realized that she was surrounded. Feeling devastated and defeated, tears came out of her eyes as she cried, thinking she was a powerless princess who couldn't even defend her people, her sister, and the kingdom.
