Chapter 5: Why?

Looking like another person almost made Lin Yan to lose her senses "No, this is not me. I am not Shen Yi. It can't be me."

Li Lingyun narrowed his eyes at her and wondered if the car accident really mess up her brain. What does she mean by it can't be her?

"Mummy?" Li Xiao called softly, seeing her mother like that made her scared.

"Li Xiao can you go out for some minutes. Tell your uncle Gu Wei to buy you ice cream." Li Lingyun said.

Li Xiao looked at her dad and then at her mother who kept saying 'It isn't her'. She nodded and then said to her dad "please don't fight with mum. She isn't feeling well."

"I won't fight with her, I just want to talk to her."Li Lingyun said with an affectionate smile.

After Li Xiao left the hospital room, the smile on Li Lingyun face immediately disappeared as he looked at Shen Yi coldly "Did you really hit your head in the accident."

"I am not Shen Yi. My name is Lin Yan and my child? what happened to my child?" At this point, Lin Yan was getting hysterical.

Hearing Shen Yi called Lin Yan name made Li Lingyun even more angry "Is this a joke? You know Lin Yan is dead, is that why you decided to play this games. You are really heartless and what child are you even talking about?" His gaze darkened as he grabbed Lin Yan arm tightly and said "Listen to me very carefully Shen Yi, if you ever allow that bastard Mu Chen to impregnate you, then I will kill the both of you without a second thought."

Lin Yan who saw Li Lingyun cold and scary gaze did not know what came over her as she suddenly began to cry "You are scaring me. Why are you so scary.?"

Li Lingyun was confused, why was she suddenly crying, after all, this was not the first time he has looked at her like that. "Why are you crying?" For some reason seeing her cry reminded him of Li Xiao whenever she start crying.

Li Lingyun sighed and said "Get some rest, you will be discharged tomorrow. I feel like I might really go crazy if I stay with you any longer" with that he left the hospital room and as soon as he left, Lin Yan burst into tears.

She finally understand, she indeed is in the body of Shen Yi, but why Shen Yi? Why did she have to become someone else wife again? Why did she have to be entangled with the Li family again. If she was truly blessed with another life then why wasn't she blessed with a peaceful one? Why did her baby who she tried so had to get died just like that? Why!!!'

Lin Yan cried the more as this questions fill her head and she was once again reminded of her last day, of Li Jun betrayal and of Li Lingyun terrifying gaze. Why does she have to still be involved in this mess! This was so unfair and besides what happened to the real Shen Yi? Did she die?

Lin Yan cried herself to sleep.

On the hand, Li Lingyun was confused with his wife behavior, he saw his daughter playing with Gu Wei and said "Let's go"

Li Xiao looked at her father and frowned "I want to stay with mummy"

"Your mummy needs rest, so you can't stay with her but she will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow and then you can spend the whole day with her if you chose to."

"Really?" Li Xiao asked as her eyes sparkle with excitement at the thought of spending the whole day with her mother, but somewhere deep within, she wondered if her mother would reject her again.

In a small medical center

"Zhou Xi, are you awake?"

Zhou Xi? Who was that? Her name is Shen Yi, so why was this strange woman calling her Zhou Xi.

"Who are you?"

He Jia frowned and wondered if Zhou Xi has lost her memory. "What do you mean by who am i? I'm your best friend, He Jia. I'm so sorry about what happened, I never expected Meng Ziyi to be so evil, she even dared to poison you. This is all because she is from a rich family so she looks down on us."

Meng Ziyi? Isn't that Li Lingyun cousin, who threatened her parents that she would kill herself if they did not allow her to enter the movie industry? Why would Meng Ziyi try to kill her? And since when does she have a best friend?

"I am free from that brat. Now I can become a different person, I can achieve my dreams, and I can finally be with him."

"With who?"

"With the love of my life, of course. There is no more obstacle between me and him." Shen Yi was so happy. Now she could fulfill her dream and live her life the way she want. No more Li Lingyun and the Li family drama and definitely no more Li Xiao. That annoying brat did nothing but annoyed her and cried in her ears. Now she can finally be with her love Mu Chen. Then a thought came to her ' If she is in another body then what happened to her real body, could it be that she actually died in that accident.
