Chapter 3: Chapter Three
It has been 10 months since the truth was known and my mother feels guilty for keeping it from me, but I understand now, and I hold no hard feelings I love her she raised me she is my mother. She gave me the book Luna Ariel gave her to give to me to explain things. I have not read it yet not really ready to. Kar moved in with us after the incident she and her aunt never got along, and I love having her nearby. So does Ali. Karlee's wolf Kassie and Ali are like sisters very loyal to us.
We had a day like another laughing helping mama tend the garden and eat her amazing cooking. Mom hired a man from town to train us in case anyone was to find out and attack us so we could fight back. We trained five days a week for the other two we had chores that were given to us by the Alpha himself. We were to clean the packhouse while they trained. I could not stand him, but I kept my anger at bay it is against pack law to stand against your Alpha. "Come on let's get to training Ry before we are late." She howled in my ear. "I'm coming Kar Geesh let me finish getting dressed." She was laughing knowing I was not a morning person.
I threw on some black leggings and a black sports bra and headed down to meet Kar. We grabbed some toasted bagels my mom made us and headed out and jogged all the way to the town. After about six hours training was over. We were drenched in sweat. "Goddess I need a shower," I say looking at Kar who is so out of breath that she just nods in response. I laugh at our pain. We grab some water and head out.
As we turned out of the building and lone and behold guess who is cackling with her hounds in tow. Oh, how I cannot stand her voice. "Oh, look the pathetic little sluts." She cackled. "Sluts have you not looked in the mirror looking like a barbie with legs like a revolving door opening for any wolf with a title." Karlee spat at Shelly in no mood to deal with her antics. I grabbed her arm, "Kar I know how you feel but she's not worth it, I feel sorry for her mate having a used toy." I said comforting Kar. "You bitch I will make sure the Alpha knows of your disobedience to someone of higher ranking." She screamed in anger I just shrugged my shoulders turned and walked us away.
When we finally arrived home mother stood at the door with worry in her eyes.
"Mama what's wrong," I asked as I reached her. "Alpha was here and angry you two are being put on cleaning duty for the packs are getting together tomorrow night. If you or Karlee mess up any way you will be punished." She said with fear in her voice. I nodded knowing nothing I said would take away her fear. I hug them both and head for my room.
I walk straight to my bathroom turning on the tub. Tossing my clothes into the hamper on the side and submerging myself in the hot water relaxed my sore muscles. I hate having to hide Ali has only been able to run free four times I hate hiding her. I wish I could leave this place behind. 'Ry I love you remember that.'
'I know Ali I just hate how you suffer due to people's fear.'
'I will always be by your side I hate how you were treated as a child one day maybe our mate will take us to a place, we both can be free to run.' Ali held so much hope in her voice even though she knew I believed our mate would reject us on the spot she still hoped. 'I know Ali you are always positive.' I got out of the tub and dried off through on some underwear and a t-shirt three sizes too big that came to my knees.
I crawled into my warm queen size bed looking out my sky window above me wondering what my future holds and what the goddesses' plans were. Then tomorrow the pack gets together with the strongest pack in the country the blood pack with to be known as the strongest Alpha in history attending. He is only 9 years older than and mateless. Some think he may have killed her to keep her from being a distraction. The wolves all over describe him as a walking God. With these thoughts, I finally drifted off to a night of deep sleep.
