Chapter 2: Chapter 2
"HERA, I left your allowance on the table!" that loud shout from her mother woke her up. "Get up there! It's already 6:30 AM. You might get late," her mother shouted again because she was still inside her room.
So, she got up and went to the bathroom next to her room to wash her face.
"Why are you so early, Ma?" she asked in astonishment when she got out of the bathroom.
"We have an emergency at the hospital, and as the head nurse, I have to be there," her mother replied and then sipped her coffee. "I need to leave. I can't wait for you this time. I will be late if I wait for you," she hurriedly said goodbye and then hastily kissed her forehead.
"No worries, Ma. Be careful on the trip," she said while brewing coffee. She only heard the soft closing of their door, a sign that her mother was out of the house.
She still has a lot of time because her class starts at 7:30 AM, and it is only a 15 to 20 minutes' walk to the school from their house. And since her mother was gone, Hera decided not to eat what her mother had cooked for her this morning. She started to prepare herself. When she was done taking her bath, she eventually got dressed.
She carefully looked at herself in the mirror. She looks straightforward in her simple clothes as well. She was wearing only a black knitted turtle-neck blouse with sleeves only up to her elbow, and she only paired those with skinny white jeans and white rubber shoes.
"Perfect, right?" As if there is someone who will answer that question.
She was about to leave when she heard a knock on their door. Hera hurried out of the room to open whoever it was.
"Inigo!" she exclaimed in shock because she did not expect him to be the one who was knocking there. "What are you doing here? And how did you find out where I lived?" she asked him, but instead of answering her, he suddenly pushed the door she was still holding to enter. So she has nothing to do but close that door again.
"So, this is your house?" she felt insulted by the tone of his voice. "I think this house was only as big as my bathroom," he added arrogantly.
"You know what, Inigo, I don't care," she said irritably. "Can you come out of our house? As you can see, you are not welcome here," she added.
"You know what, I don't care either," he said, imitating the tone she used as his gaze continued to roam their entire house. She was worried when Inigo suddenly stepped closer to the door of her room, so she quickly blocked herself from the door before he could finally open it. "What are you doing?" he asked curiously, and then, without hesitation, he just pushed the door. And now, what she did was totally useless because Inigo was now roaming inside her room. "So, this is your room," he continued while nodding his head. "Your smell leaves on this place," he said while inhaling the smell of her room.
"Inigo, can you come out now?" she spoke angrily, but instead of listening, he walked in and sat on her bed. And that makes her more pissed off. She quickly approached him and pulled his arm violently to pull him out of her room, but to her shock, he pulled him closer instead. So she fell on his lap, she tried to stand up to avoid his seductive look, but he hugged her tightly, causing her not to move further.
She could smell his fragrant scent as well as his breadth. And that makes her heart beat fast.
"Do you know why I love to annoy you?" he whispered to her ears. "Because you always turned out like this," he continued said. "Always remember this, Hera. As long as you want to get away from me, you will fall harder for me." Even before she reacted, Inigo gave a small kiss on her forehead and went down to her nose and profoundly down to her lips. "I love your lips. It was like telling me to kiss you every time I saw you."
Once again, she tried to get out of his tight embrace before she fell hard into that trap, but it was useless. She couldn't even feel her hands. Her body was not listening to her. All she could hear was her heartbeat and his gentle breath.
He wiped her hair that blocking her face and hooked that on her ear. And then his lips came down again to kiss her on her lips. He deeply kisses her this time.
Her heart is throbbing more. She can't get back to her senses. Inigo's kiss feels like it touches every part of her body.
Inigo, what are you doing to me? My body is not even listening to me.
He touched her face to deepen the kiss. He gently opens her mouth with his tongue and softly enters it there as if he were looking for something. She felt a wildfire inside her. She even couldn't control herself. She started to love his kisses and his touches on her skin. He lifted her and slowly laid her down on the bed.
He looked at her, the look that made her heart melt. She couldn't even resist that. He touched her face again, down to her nose and her lips. He looked straight into her eyes and bent down again to kiss her even more softly, and what surprised her was she started to respond to his kisses because of what she did; Inigo kissed her more deeply and roughly.
Inigo's hands roamed around her body until she felt his hands inside her blouse. His touches gave her goosebumps, and she couldn't resist them.
No, no! What we are doing is wrong. It was the loud voice inside her head, and before that intensity overcame her sanity, she gathered all her strength to stop what they were doing.
"This is wrong, Inigo!" she exclaimed while pushing him, and he seemed surprised, so he let her get up from lying under him. When she finally gets off his embrace, she quickly fixes herself. "You shouldn't be here in the first place, Inigo! How could you do this to me!" she said incredulously but what she couldn't believe more was she had let that thing happen.
"But you like it too, right?" He used his husky voice again and tried to tease her once more.
"Stop it, Inigo! You can't do anything or everything you wanted to do to me! I'm not your toy!" she almost shouted because of her frustration. He was so insensitive!
"I probably didn't get what I wanted today, but I will assure you that you were the one that will give me what I want," he said, still full of arrogance.
"No matter what you do, it will never happen!" she said irritably.
"We will see that." Then he got up from her bed and approached her again. She tried to back away, but he quickly grabbed her on her waist because her room was so small. And he promptly pressed the lip to hers again. If his first kisses were pleasing, those kisses became even more alluring. And her system couldn't ignore that, but on her first move, he eventually stopped and looked at her. Now, she realized her body had already betrayed her. "See?" She already knew what it meant, so she couldn't help but blush in shame.
Until she heard his loud laugh, she looked for something she could throw at him. And her make-up kit was the first she picked up. And without hesitation, she manages to throw that to him.
"Aw!" he complained when the make-up kit hit his face.
"Get out of here before I call the police," she threatened him, but not even the slightest fear could be seen on his face.
He just cupped her face, and then a light kiss fell on her lips. "See you in school, my girl," he said goodbye, and he came out quickly, leaving her stunned by his absence.
My God, Hera! What am I doing to yourself? she condemned herself, but even if she repented, it was too late.
FOR the whole day, Hera was like not on herself. And it's too hard for her to forget what happened between her and Inigo. And up to this moment, she can't still question that. Why did she let that happen, and why is she not angry? Does she like what Inigo does to her?
"Hey, Hera, are you with me?" Then Elsie gently waved her hand in front of her eyes to get her attention. She was her best friend, and even to her, she couldn't say what had happened between her and Inigo. They were two of her best friends, but she knew even more that she couldn't say that to him.
"Why?"
"Oh, I've been blabbering here like crazy, and you're not listening, girl!" she unbelievably said. "Since we came here, Hera, I already had said everything. How much have I said do you want me to repeat?" she sarcastically added. They are in the park right inside the university. They have been visiting that place since they were just in their first year. "Do you have any problem that you wanted to tell me, or is something wrong with you?" Elsie seriously asked her.
"No, nothing. I didn't sleep well last night," she said. She did not want to tell her.
That bastard, Inigo! I shouldn't be like this. He shouldn't be on my mind, but why he can't disappear from my mind.
Because of the extreme frustration she felt, he reluctantly threw the book in front of her. And she didn't expect that book would hit someone.
"Aw!" Ethan yelled as the book hit him as he walked closer to them. She quickly ran closer to him. "What are you doing, Hera?" he asked angrily as the book hit his head.
"I'm sorry, Ethan, I didn't mean to," she apologized.
"Why, it seems you're out of yourself, Hera!" Ethan said. He was her other best friend she was talking about a while ago.
"Even earlier, she was like that. I was like talking like an idiot," Elsie also said while shaking her head. Hera didn't even notice that she was also close to them.
"Is there something wrong with you, Hera?" Ethan worriedly asked her. He suddenly lost his temper. "What happened to you?"
"No. Nothing happened to me. It's just that maybe I'm not feeling well today," she answered. Then she just turned around because she was afraid they might even notice what she was thinking and what was bothering her.
"Are you sure?" Ethan gently grabbed her on her arm, causing her to turn around again. Then Ethan put his hand on her forehead, assuring that she was okay.
Meanwhile, Hera didn't know that Inigo saw what Ethan did to her, and she also didn't notice how quickly Inigo approached them.
"Yeah, okay — aw!" Hera wailed as Inigo suddenly grabbed her arm and pulled her away from Ethan.
"What are you doing to her?!" Inigo furiously asked Ethan.
"It's none of your business, Mr. Sanders," Ethan replied angrily, so Hera nodded in agreement with what he said.
"She is my business. So don't ever touch her!" Inigo boldly said to Ethan, and that's what shocked her. While the two were arguing, she tried to pull her arms held by Inigo, but he only tightened his grip.
"Inigo, let me go!" she complained because that grip was already hurt her.
"Aren't you listening, she said, let her go!" Then Ethan grabbed her on her other arm and quickly pulled her away from Inigo.
"You, let her go!" Inigo almost whispered but with a threat.
My gosh! I never dreamed of this kind of scene in my life. I want to be able to study and graduate safely and well here at this school.
Inigo looked at Hera badly, and Hera could see the anger in his eyes, but she did not care because she was also angry and just stared at him.
"I think you forgot how I picked you," Inigo said. She knew what that meant. She was chosen to be his target because she defended her classmate like Ethan did to her right now. Inigo looked at Ethan again. "You know better let her choose between us," he bravely challenged Ethan. "Now, Hera, choose between us!" he commanded, so she frowned.
"Don't scare her!" Ethan almost shouted at Inigo's face. "You have to be a man, Sanders! Don't pick a woman as your bullying target!" he added, and Inigo's face showed the extreme insult of Ethan's word.
"Oh, you might be afraid that Hera won't choose you." She saw how Inigo held back his anger.
She now looked at him because he was frustrated. "When are you going to stop picking on me, Inigo?" she was running out of patience.
"Until you're finally mine," he replied directly to her, so her lips parted because she didn't expect that.
"Stop it, Inigo! Stop doing that to me because I'm not something you pick up when you want and throw away when you don't want to!" she shouted when she recovered and gently threw away Inigo's hands holding her. She saw the shock register on his face.
Ethan took the opportunity to pull her away from Inigo.
"That's enough, Hera, let's go," he said to her.
"And who told you I would throw you away !?" That Inigo's word stops her. "Once you are mine, you will be forever mine, Hera. Remember that!" then he looked at Ethan. "This is the first time I'll let you touch her, but this will never happen again. So be thankful." Then he just turned his back on them. When he turned around, Ethan let go of her hand.
She finally breathed a sigh of relief when he disappeared from her sight. She feared Inigo might do something or say something about what happened between them inside their house.
"Awful, Hera! I didn't expect Inigo to be like that. He was acting like a jealous boyfriend!" Elsie teased, but she wasn't happy.
"You know, Elsie, it's not funny," she said, and she stepped back to go back to their table where their belongings were still on.
"Don't ever come near to that man again, Hera," Ethan commanded, so she stopped walking and looked at him again because his words were full of authority. Knowing him, Ethan doesn't let any men who don't do good to her. "Don't you ever let him demand you!" he added.
Elsie, on the other hand, just looked at the two of them because even though they didn't admit it, there was growing tension between them.
"Wait, guys!" Elsie stopped the tension between them. "You know, guys, Inigo is our foe here, okay? We're not, you are not," Elsie begged them, but instead of answering her, Hera quickly turned her back on them again.
"Hey, wait a minute, Hera, where are you going?" Elsie chased her.
"I'm going to our next class. Where else?" Hera irritably answered her.
"What a temper, ha!" Elsie said while shaking her head and just quickly following her.
