Chapter 8: Academy

- Listen to me carefully, first you go through, then I, after you pass, take two steps forward so that I, too, can go through the portal, do you understand me, Prince Aluric? - The girl asked in a serious voice, looking into my eyes.

I silently nodded and approached the portal, taking a step, I expected some kind of discomfort from teleportation, but there were none. Stepping aside, I began to wait for the girl and look around along the way.

We were in some kind of building made of white stone to the right of me and to the left there were similar doors, but nothing was displayed on them. Here and there, girls and guys of different races were visible. They were wearing the same clothes, as I understand it, this is the uniform of students black pants white shirt. And blue cape and in the right corner of the shirt was visible emblem, but from a distance I could not see it.

- Send Trey, they're waiting for us, Trey, are you deaf? - The girl asked me, I turned around and saw discontent on her face, I just grinned and followed her, looking around

While we were walking, I found out the name of the girl, her name was Luan, and we were at the academy, according to her words, she needed to take me to the reception of the academy and leave me there, I asked her about such things as the uniform of the students.

How the training goes and many other questions, but she refused to answer, saying that I myself would find out everything, I could only shrug my shoulders at this.

We went through different corridors and stairs everywhere I saw groups of students but with different coats of arms on shirts and cloaks there were representatives of different races from dwarves with orcs to light elves to people who were the majority as I noticed.

I caught a glimpse of how students were sitting in one of the open doors with a bored look, looking somewhere in the direction of the teacher.

Someone was running, apparently late for classes, someone was walking with a stack of books in an unknown direction for me with a lost look. Having made a couple more turns, we ended up near a wooden door where there was a sign with the inscription "Reception".

Luan came up to the door and knocked, and when she heard that it was possible to enter, she turned to me.

- Wait here and don't go anywhere, Trey. - Luan said in a stern voice, after waiting for my nod, she opened the door and entered the office.

While waiting for me to be called, I began to look around and listen again on the walls opposite the door, various portraits and paintings hung on one picture, an elf in golden armor was depicted fighting a crowd of monsters below, it was written in small letters "G'len the vengeful against Zak'Un".

In another picture was an orc surrounded by his brethren and holding a two-handed sword with one hand and below was the inscription "Kumur the wise at the great assembly" in the third picture were an elf and an orc fighting against a man holding in in the hands of two blades, even looking at the picture, they felt a thirst for blood and murder in search of the signature of the picture, I never found it. Hearing the door open, I saw Luan come out and leave the door open.

- Come on Trey, on this I say goodbye to you good luck here. - Luan said, without waiting for an answer, turned her back on me and left.

Sighing, I went to the door to the reception room, looked inside and entered, closing the door behind me. Going inside, I began to look around on the walls, various portraits hung. As I could understand, these were those who graduated from the academy or received awards for some kind of merit, in the center sat a bright elf, she was dressed in a white strict blouse and a golden cloak hung on her shoulders in her blue no emotions were displayed in her eyes, most likely Luan handed over the documents to me to her, therefore she had no interest in me.

- Trey, sit down, I'll tell you what you need to know to study within the walls of this academy. The light elf spoke.

Nodding my head, I sat across from her and began to listen, the academy was called Lomu'in, which translated from Elvish as a citadel of knowledge, inside the academy there were different classes for both mages and swordsmen who had no talent.

Swordsmen were divided like magicians into different professions, but the test for the talent of a swordsman was carried out directly by the professor or dean in charge of the faculty of swordsmen.

Inside the academy, there was a student rating to improve their abilities, everyone could challenge those within your power radius if the student ranked five hundred and twenty in the ranking, he could challenge all students including four hundred and ninety-ninth place, they could fight only inside the arena under the supervision of professors.

A maximum of two fights could be held per day; if you lost, then you can't challenge anyone for a week. Each student had a coat of arms on his shirt, indicating which course and profession he was studying for.

The general course of study took place for five years, every half year there were theory and practice exams; if you did not pass any exam, you could be expelled. Also, the academy had its own currency, which could be obtained for completing tasks from the academy or from tasks received from students to attack inside the academy, the coat of arms on the shirt was strictly forbidden; The students were called stufon.

Also, inside the academy there was a large library where everyone had access, as well as a dining room. Dormitories were divided into professions and courses and talent. If you have a profession, and you are in your second year but have a weak talent, you get a certain room according to your abilities. After I pass the check for the swordsman and get the uniform, I will have rooms according to the light elf.

- Do you understand Trey? Just in case, take the book of rules and the map of the academy, you will need it for the first time, I will now call someone from the senior stufon to take you to the swordsmen's wing. - The elf said, raising the white rod and hitting it in the air a couple of times.
