Chapter 13: What a fight
"Lilac, you have my permission to use your quirk, I'll be evacuating the civilians and making sure there isn't another villain, good luck!" Mineta heard through the earpiece while being slammed through multiple walls by what seemed to be a type of high-end Nomu.
Luckily, the swords behind him were taking in the impact, and not only that he hardened his back to minimize the damage, Mineta couldn't see who was holding him but he knew it was some type of Nomu by hearing the inhuman noises that were coming out of him, which is good because he doesn't need to hold back.
"I didn't give you consent to touch me!" Mineta joked, He raised his right hand and a sword was coming out of his forearm, Mineta hardened the blade on his forearm and swung his arm as hard as he could to the hand that was grabbing him. (A/N: image in comments)
The blade cut right through the Nomu's wrist, making Mineta finally free, instantly after cutting his wrist the Nomu went for a left swing. Mineta crouched, dodging the left swing, and then swung his hand up, cutting the Nomu's other hand off, blood was splattered all over Mineta from the Nomu's inner organs but that was irrelevant.
Mineta thinking the Nomu didn't have any more attacks looked up to see the Nomu's face, and there it was, inside the Nomu's mouth there was a small ball of fire, and this made Mineta's instincts go off. Immediately, Mineta jumped to the right dodging the beam of fire that came out of the Nomu's mouth.
*BZZZZTTTTT*
The beam of fire was more than enough to incinerate the ground where Mineta was on, it made a hole that seem to have no limit. Mineta saw it and he knew, that at all costs, he could not let that type of attack touch him.
Mineta made another sword from his other forearm, now he had one on each, he stood up, and both he and the Nomu stared at each other, even though Mineta shouldn't be...he was enjoying this, his adrenaline going wild, right now, the only thing that mattered....was surviving.
Although it was a Nomu, a man-made beast created by the bodies of humans, it knew, that Mineta was a fierce opponent, Mineta inhaled then exhaled, and the fight began.
He needed the battle to be hand-to-hand to not damage the surroundings and hurt any nearby civilians, Mineta jumped toward the Nomu, he was above his head, the Nomu didn't have regenerative abilities, but it didn't mean it would die easily, the only way for the Nomu to die is to decapitate it or destroy the brain.
With its fast reflexes he looked up toward Mineta, instead of firing a fireblast, it jumped back as far as he could, destroying all the walls that got in its way as if they were nothing but cardboard, the Nomu managed to get quite the distance, more than 20 feet in an instant. Mineta responded by not stopping where he was, he landed on the ground, and zig-zag toward the Nomu as fast as he can.
He used the walls and ceiling to boost himself like a Ninja, while he was approaching the Nomu at incredible speeds, the Nomu was charging up a fireblast in his mouth, the quirk the Nomu is using is called [Fire mouth] making him create fire in his mouth. The Nomu has good enough mastery of the quirk to make a fireblast out of it or beams of fire.
*BZZZZT*
The Nomu fired a huge fireblast, twice the size of its own body, it covered the entire pathway that Mineta was coming from, in the Nomu's point of view, Mineta would surely be damaged by this attack.
*BOOM*
After the fireball traveled some distance it finally exploded, seconds passed, and the Nomu didn't see or hear anything, if it had actual thoughts, what it would be thinking is, 'Did I kill him?' But unfortunately, Mineta was closer to him than he thought. The one dying was not Mineta...but him...
*SPLASH*
The Nomu's head was perfectly cut, Mineta was right behind the Nomu almost as if he just appeared there, and decapitated him as swift and clean as possible, and just like that, the Nomu died. Blood splattering all over Mineta.
How did Mineta get Behind the Nomu without it noticing? When the Nomu shot the fireblast, it blocked his field of view, making it the perfect chance for Mineta to use a different route, he broke through a wall and went around.
How was he not heard by the Nomu? Well Mineta as you know is learning Shinobi/Ninja skills, and ninjas have to be as quiet as possible, so Edgeshot taught him how to silence his footsteps, which he has around 90% mastery, and he also learned how to hide his presence, around 85% mastery.
Although it wasn't fully mastered yet it was more than enough to kill this very weak high-end Nomu. Mineta looked at the Nomu's corpse with dead eyes, ' From what I can hear, the other Nomu's are dead, meaning Edgeshot and the backup handled them, but this seems too fishy, this guy went straight for me, while the others stayed behind, in total there were 4, this guy wasn't going for the kill because if he was, he would have crushed my head when he was grabbing it, so there can only be one reason why this all happened...they were aiming for me, they send one to capture me, while the others distracted the heroes, All for one, that son of a bitch! I knew what I pulled in the sports festival would come back to bite me!' Mineta raged in his head.
Mineta was indeed right, they were trying to capture him, Mineta didn't know because he didn't check the news nor use his phone a lot or any social media platform to be exact, but he was the talk of the world, he was quite literally known worldwide. Going through a quirk awakening in the sports festival made him famous around the world, after all, it's a very very rare occurrence for that to happen and on tv no less.
There wasn't a person that didn't know his name, so naturally all for one became interested in Mineta so he tried to capture him, well, his quirk, and he wasn't the only one. Other villains also had their eyes on Mineta.
Mineta grabbed the Nomu's head and body and started dragging the body toward where edgeshot was...
...
The once beautiful street that Mineta and Edgeshot were appreciating and looking at with delight, was now nothing but chaos, some buildings were destroyed, some cars were on fire as well as buildings, it was quite a mess, thankfully, no casualties, just some injuries.
At the moment, Edgeshot was covered in a little bit of blood and was talking to a man wearing a business suit, he had green hair with yellow highlights. They were talking about the situation while firefighters and police officers around them were interrogating people and putting out the fire.
The Nomu's corpses were laying down on the street each one of them side by side. While everything was going in order, suddenly it started getting quieter and quieter. This confused Edgeshot and Sir Nighteye, until they saw what made the silence.
"There you are, you told me you'd be here in a bit but you took your time" Edgeshot told Mineta who was walking towards him and seemed very intimidating to the surrounding people, especially with dragging the Nomu's corpse and holding on to its head.
Mineta didn't say anything, he dropped the Nomu's head on the ground as well as the corpse and walked toward Edgeshot and Sir Nighteye, everyone again proceeded to continue their job, finally, Mineta reached Edgeshot and Sir Nighteye, "The point of this attack was me...they were trying to capture" Mineta said in a tone only edgeshot and Sir Nighteye could hear, he got straight to the point, this statement made their eyes widened.
"How can you be so sure?" Sir Nighteye asks with his usual demanding voice and glare, Mineta looked at him and responded, "The Nomu that attacked me went straight for me, and even though he could have killed me, he didn't and it was holding back, I bet the 3 other Nomus were for Edgeshot, so he couldn't have a chance to back me up or help me"
There was a silence between all 3 of them and Sir Nighteye spoke once again, "I'm guessing you're the kid from the festival" He stated, "That's me" Mineta responded.
"Then they were definitely after you" Sir Nighteye said letting out a sigh, "First the hero killer Stain with the other Nomus, now this, seems like the bastard is busy these days" Sir Nighteye remarked.
"What happened with the hero killer Stain?" Edgeshot asked confused, "Some of his classmates defeated him" Sir Nighteye replied, referring to Mineta's classmates, which are Shoto, Izuku, and Iida.
"Really? Kids? I mean it's hard to believe they could do it, especially went it comes to the hero killer stain" Edgeshot commented, very surprised, the hero killer Stain is known to have killed heroes who are widely known for their strength, for high schoolers to defeat him is a bit of a surprised.
"Well, they didn't come out unscathed that's for sure" Sir Nighteye said, the conversation between these 3 heroes continued, and it ended off with edgeshot reporting this to the principal of U.A with Mineta, and Sir Nighteye tagging along.
What a night am I right?
