Chapter 18: CH18: STOLEN AGAIN

After gathering his thoughts together, Dezhong headed back to the crime scene and was immediately stopped by his father. When he asked why, Chief Prince simply grunted and stormed into his squad car.

Soon, the other offices started packing their equipment and left one by one. Just as he was about to open his mouth and ask questions, a large hover vehicle floated above him while armed soldiers climbed down on ropes. They were all dressed in heavy camo-gear with the words MFP written on their fronts and backs.

Two particular agents stood out from the soldiers. A tall man and slightly shorter woman, Agent Stone and Grace, gave out orders and told the soldiers to seal the place off, making sure that the public doesn't get involved with. While this happened, Stone noticed Chief Prince's squad car and the blonde brown skinned boy glaring at him with judgmental eyes.

"Well hello young man," Stone greeted with his hand held out for a handshake. "You look awfully familiar. It's like…it's like I've seen a much bigger version of you somewhere." Stone glared at Chief Prince for a second before leaning over to whisper into Dezhong's ear.

"Think well before approaching me like that." Dezhong threatened, though not knowing what came over him to say such.

"Whow!! Easy there young man." Stone laughed then frowned while pressing Dezhong's hand. "Don't want you to insult an officer. I can press charges." Stone's arm started to bulge as his grip on Dezhong increased.

"Let go of me, man." Dezhong replied with an irritated voice and a death stare in his eyes. "Let…go…of…my…arm…please." He ended with a fake smile.

Agent Stone increased his grip on Dezhong and pulled him closer towards his chest. With a sharp stare, he and Dezhong glared at each other.

"I'm warning you man," Dezhong folded his fist. "You'll embarrass yourself today."

"Stone, let the kid go." Agent Grace groaned while she and the others got to work immediately.

"Oh please, Grace," Stone scoffed. "What's this little disrespectful kid gonna…." In one moment, Agent Stone felt a powerful force smack him on his face so hard and so fast that he was down on the floor the next minute.

[Congratulations]

[You've thrown your first fist and initiated a fight,]

"Psh…I told you you'd embarrass yourself." Dezhong scoffed while trying to hide the pain in his hand. Stone remained motionless on the ground while Dezhong, Chief Prince, and the rest of Desper's Police with them flew off, leaving the MFP to handle yet another case that wasn't in their territory.

"Well like the kid said," Grace teased. "You were embarrassing yourself, especially in front of your men."

"Shut up." Stone groaned angrily with his hand still on his face. He felt the taste of iron in his moth as blood seeped in from the wound within his mouth. "I didn't see that punch coming and I'm….I'm a…"

"A fool who underestimated the son of the chief of Desper's Police Force." Grace continued. "Why do you think that man was able to become what he is today? Don't you think he'll pass those skills down to his son?"

"DON'T LECTURE ME, WOMAN." Stone barked back, earning him a chuckle from the other soldiers who laughed from second hand embarrassment. "I know what I'm talking about, Grace. That kid's punch was too fast, even for me, a mutant. He's not normal, I can tell you that."

"All that from a punch, huh?" Grace smirked. "Imagine if you lost a fight to the kid. I'd like to see that happen. Come on, there's something you have to see."

--------------------

While the MFP took over another case from Desper's Police, Chief Prince was busy praising his son for doing something he himself wanted to do, give Stone a good punch.

"I gotta hand it to you, Dezhong." His father praised. "The way you delivered that punch took me by surprise too. I didn't know you could move that fast. It's like you've had something done to you."

"Yeah….like..hehe!!" Dezhong laughed it off nervously.

"Anyway, I'm going to leave you at home because I have some important business to deal with the mayor and you're grounded."

"What?" Dezhong nearly exploded in anger. "But you said…"

"I'm not having my son moving out when there's a serial killer on the loose, okay? I would let you go if you had these." He said while tapping his large, powerful, crystal powered prosthetic arms. "Look at you, you're just a fleshy guy. That creature will tear you up."

"Not if I do it first." Dezhong muttered under his breath. His father dropped his off at their place and continued to the uttermost center of Desper where he was going to have meeting with the mayor and to address the press over the serial killings.

{Unknown Number: Greetings Dezhong Prince. This is Abdul, from the Gorillas. Please be hear as soon as possible. We're awaiting your arrival.}

{Unknown Number: Greetings Dezhong Prince. This is Abdul, from the Gorillas. Please be hear as soon as possible. We're awaiting your arrival.}

{Unknown Number: Greetings Dezhong Prince. This is Abdul, from the Gorillas. If you're not here in the next ten minutes, we will give out your position and come for you. Tardiness will not be tolerated.}

"Oh crap." Dezhong got five messages repeating the same thing over and over again warning him what would happen if he didn't arrive in time.

He soon came to learn that the Gorillas weren't the only ones who left him text messages.

{Blake: Dezhong, hurry up and get to the Gorillas. You cannot screw up on your first day. Please be sure not to repeat this same mistake again.}

{Luke: Hey, butthurt. Hurry up and get to the Gorillas before you lose your position, NOW!!}

Knowing damn well what would happen if he disobeyed his father's orders, Dezhong chose to gamble with the odds and made a run for the Gorilla's base. With no money for transport and no use for bikes in this over populated city, the young gang member did the only rational thing that came into his mind…run.

In order to not draw as much attention to himself, Dezhong decided to use the roof tops as his route until he got close enough to the northern edge of Desper. He jumped, slid, summersaulted, and did some other parkour skills until he reached the edge of Desper where buildings were more spread apart.

[Congratulations.]

A few more minutes passed and Dezhong finally made it to the Gorilla's base. There were few people outside moving a couple of crates while others sat around doing nothing other than smoking and drinking.

"PRINCE!! GET IN HERE NOW!!"
